I think this is going to be the only way I do sushi in Omaha. I’ve been here three times already and I’m going back tonight for a «sushi anniversary» with my wife. They have a good selection of maki rolls, sashimi, appetizers, and anything you would expect on the menu of a sushi restaurant, but you can have as much as you want. The atmosphere is nice, the wait staff are very friendly, and as long as you come hungry, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t recommend it enough.

Went here a month ago craving some sushi. The sushi was pretty good and the selection was great for the price. A couple of things that they should consider is that they put too much vinegar in the sushi rice. I didn’t notice it at first but it became overwhelming the more I ate. I would give this place another shot because it was decent. Really hit my sushi cravings.

We came for lunch around 1 and we waited roughly 10 minutes and no one helped us. The places was not packed and we were clearly standing there waiting to be seated. The man behind the register just stood there. We went to Stokes instead and were provided great service. I hope you don’t have to go through what we did. Good luck!

If you use your credit card at Tokyo Sushi, you need to check your statement closely when it arrives. My bill was $ 210.48 and I left a $ 40 tip. I clearly wrote $ 250.48 in the Total line. My statement arrived and the restaurant ran the card for much more. This is the second time that this has happened. Is this a coincidence? Thankfully Chase Bank gave me an immediate credit. I will not return.

I went on Xmas eve(long stop on my way home) and wanted sushi. After exhausting my budget on Xmas gifts, I felt I needed to deny my constant craving for sushi. I was wrong. Found this place on Unilocal and was excited to try it out. I couldn’t be more pleased. The set price for lunch was $ 12.99 for ALL you can eat(holiday diet, be damned!). Granted the portions were smaller, but I felt it was an advantage as that allowed me to try MORE stuff. I definitely recommend the nigiri and the veggie tempura I tried were tasty as well. The staff was attentive. It was obvious that English wasn’t their first language but that didn’t bother me at all. The place had a very clean environment and was nicely decorated. All in all, if you want all you can eat sushi then this is the place to go!

Tokyo Sushi was recommend by a friend’s son who lives in the city. I really like sushi although I have never been to a sushi restaurant out side of the central fly over states. I like it some much I started learning to prepare it myself. I have learned that it takes time to develop the skill to do it right. Tokyo Sushi is doing it right. The rolls taste great. The rice was perfectly prepared.(The real secret to great sushi is in the rice.) I had the Spicy tuna roll, Rainbow roll, the Philly roll and tempura veggies. The presentation was beautiful. We went before 5pm and got the all you can eat happy hour special for $ 13 per person. Wow great value! 3 stars for the food 2 more for the value.

We’ve been going since you were Wasabi out west. Wasabi and then Tokyo Sushi offered a good value all you can eat sushi within the limitations of the menu. The sushi wasn’t top notch, but it wasn’t foul either, and we always enjoyed eating there. We visited a couple weeks ago. The prices have gone up and the menu for all you can eat has expanded. I have to say, you guys have really upped your game in a big way. We left that day really happy with our meal. Everything was super fresh and satisfying, and the menu expansion felt like it more than justified the price increase. Regardless of price it was one of the best sushi lunches I’ve ever had in 30 years of eating sushi. Please keep it up, I can’t wait to come back.

Okay. Definitely NOT the best sushi I’ve ever had but definitely the BESTSUSHI in Omaha! When I’m rating a place, I’m looking for overall things to grade. The price, the food, the ambience… This place has the right price for their food! Their sushi is very decent for their price during lunch. All you can eat sushi for such a decent price! Their appetizers make it worthwhile as well. The Gyoza are perfect and they also offer edamame and even free ice cream for after your meal. Even though their spicy tuna is so simple, they add some crunch that really makes it that much more special. The service here hasn’t always been the best but the food is well worth it. I have come here with many classmates and it’s always worthwhile when you all can share different rolls!

The food was great; atmosphere was… yada yada yada. Those components were covered in the other Unilocal reviews. We leave no apples unpeeled in my reviews. Tokyo Sushi is an all you can eat restaurant with one gimmick: you have to pay for the food you do not finish. In response, I have devised a step by step method to deal with this rule. Before we begin outlining my method, I have to explain the concept of a «thick friend.» When I write«thick friend,» I do not imply a heavily weighted person but rather someone who can consume a lot of food. Essentially, a human trash chute. The ideology behind bringing a thick friend with you is for insuring your investment when eating at Tokyo Sushi. If you are unable to finish your food, your thick friend will jump into action and finish your food for you. Every group of friends has at least one thick friend. If you do not have a thick friend in your group of friends, you can attend this restaurant by yourself with no risk of losing additional money. Let me reemphasize, EVERY group of friends has at least one thick friend. No judgement here so let’s continue. The task of bringing a thick friend to Tokyo Sushi may seem daunting at first, but I have developed a foolproof, tested-only-once, method that I will detail below: 1. Identify your thick friend(s) and pick one as a target.(You can bring multiple thick friends but that is pretty ambitious.) 2. Figure out his/her schedule and coordinate the schedule with operating hours of Tokyo Sushi and your own schedule to find the best time to eat. 3. Initiate small talk with your thick friend. You do not want your thick friend to suspect that you are using him/her. 4. After small talk has started, throw in subtle remarks pertaining to food. a. Example conversations: i. «Nice weather, huh? Sushi is also nice!» ii. Not your style? You can talk about trendy controversial topics: -«Donald Trump? More like Donald I-could-go-for-some-Japanese-food-right-now-am-I-right?» 5. Go for the kill. Your slight mentions of food have riled up the belly of your thick friend. Tell him/her that you know of a great place to eat and that you have already checked his/her schedule and figured out his/her availability. Your thick friend will be impressed by your overall preparedness and will happily accept your offer. 6. Execute. You have already finished the tough steps of the method, and you are about to reap the rewards. DONOTGIVEUP! Take your friend to Tokyo Sushi and order as much food as you desire. 7. Eat. I will not cover the methods of eating in this review. I will cover those methods in a future review. 8. Paying. If you have cash, pay as you normally would and skip the next two steps. 9. Pens. If you have a debit or credit card, you need a pen to complete your transaction. Unfortunately, Tokyo Sushi has shoddy pens with blunt tips and little ink. You need to be as efficient as possible. Try to find a thick friend that works at a pen company. You want top notch pens straight from the source. I would recommend pen companies such as Bic Cristal and Uni-Ball, but other companies would work just as well. The color of the ink should not matter, but black or blue are the most widely accepted ink colors. Tell your thick friend that he/she may only accompany you to the restaurant if they bring one of their company pens. 10. Move step 9 above step 2. I messed up. 11. Give my review a recommendation to spread awareness of this issue. If you followed my method step by step, you will not only find yourself having an enjoyable night, but you will also wake up the next morning knowing that you did not overeat in an attempt to not pay additional money. Your bank account will be happy, and your relationship with your thick friend will also blossom. I tried not to make this review too long, but I wanted to make sure this problem was fully addressed and resolved. Overall, I give Tokyo Sushi 4 out of 5 stars. GOOOOOOOOBIIIIIGGGGGGRREEEEEEEDDDD!

Yum, a lot better quality than I was expecting. Service was slow before it was even busy. I thought seaweed salad was not as fresh as it should’ve been, maybe order the ocean salad instead, there’s a vinegar dressing and some other stuff. Dynamite roll was bomb! Nigiri(ok I already don’t like rice and rolls, should’ve gotten sashimi for $ 3 more) I thought the rice had a faint taste of vinegar, eh plugh, lol. I’d go back though great price if you’re hungry and want to eat a lot of sushi Oh and I suggest only ordering a couple things at a time. Whatever you don’t finish they will charge you for. Don’t waste!

Sorta slow service. Sushi was fresh. Wife’s rolls kept falling apart. Couldn’t substitute salmon for tuna. We don’t like salmon. But the waitress not knowing did it anyway since she didn’t know. So that was nice of her. Not bad place for a quick bite for lunch!

Ive been here twice now, and Ive noticed a big negative about this sushi place. The service is HORRENDOUS. Every time I’ve gone here with my wife, we’ll be seated promptly and then left to rot for 30 minutes before anyone takes our order sheet. Then its another 20 minutes while you wait for your food to be made since its all made to order. The last time I was in here, I filled out the sheet, and left it on the edge of the table so they could take it and get my order made. That’s not how it worked though, 3 of the waitstaff walked by, looked at the sheet, saw it was filled out, and promptly ran away before i could tell them it was ready. It finally took me waving the sheet around like a flag for someone to take it and put my order in. It was like I was surrendering to hunger. 20 minutes later when our food was delivered, 3 of the rolls we ordered were missing. The sushi is okay, it’s not great, its not terrible. It’s served at proper temperature, and I’ve never gotten sick here so thats a plus in their favor. At the end of the day, if you want all you can eat sushi at 15 $ a plate, and don’t mind waiting forever, this is the place to go. If you want good sushi, and good service: go to blu. If you do choose to go here: fill out 2 of the sheets, and as soon as they bring you your first plate, give them the second one.

What is this place and how do they stay in business? All kidding aside, this places confuses me, my college friends and I when sick of the dining hall come here and order all the sushi we can handle for about $ 15 a plate. I know its not quality sushi, but for what it is it’s more than decent. There are definitely better options for nice sushi within walking distance of tokyo sushi, but for a relatively cheap lunch its more than fine. I’ve eaten here several times and each time it leaves me wondering if I really enjoy it or if it will be last time I eat there.

Came here once for the All you can eat sushi. The food was average, good amount with the price you paid for it. The service was very bad, by the time I walked into the door, they didn’t greet or give a smile. I had to wait for 20 minutes just to get the menu from the server, very unprofessional. Not all the servers can speak English when we had questions. The only highlight dishes I recommended here are the sashimi and green tea ice cream.

Worth the $ for all you can eat sushi! Service excellent!!! Pretty good variety of sushi selections! Went to eat lunch Sun at 1pm, 19.99 per person. Family of 4 ordered 8 different kinds of special sushi rolls, 3 orders shrimp tempura, 2 orders of edemame, x4 mackerel sushi, x2 white tuna sushi and x4 miso soup(delicious) and x2 orders of grilled calamari with drinks!!! Appetizers came fast despite a good number of people in the restaurant at the time of our visit, pleasant surprise! My family loves sushi and boy we were stuffed to our bones! Black dragon rolls-the best!!! Highly recommended sushi go — to place. We will be back again!!! Restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere!

Came in for lunch today and found that service was MUCH better than my last experience. Restaurant was about half full, but our servers were much more attentive and food came out in a reasonable and rational manner. Sushi was very excellent today! I think they have some of the best appetizers — my favorites are the shrimp tempura, spring rolls, and the seafood udon is very good! For rolls, we ordered the spicy crabmeat hand roll, eel and avocado hand roll, and asparagus salmon makimono. For nigiri, we ordered crabmeat, salmon, tuna, and mackerel. The quality was very good and the presentation is always exceptionally nice. It’s a must that I update this review because this experience was much better and must be rewarded for that.

This place should be just called«China sushi,» I can hear my people(chinese) chatting about how Jeremy lin needs to step up his game… My stomach feels like a fish tank every time eating at Tokyo. Bring Tums! This is a great place to satisfy your sushi craving as you can eat as much as you like. If you don’t expect quality food, then you’re never disappointed here: D sometimes quantity beats quality, like money

Sashimi was all quite excellent. We had discussed why there was an additional fee for sashimi for both of us when only one of us was going to have sashimi. He said they have to or people take advantage of the system. I said that’s great but we’re honest plus my wife is pregnant and will not be having any raw items. The owner conceded and gave us a discount ‘this one time.’ So…it was nice they did that but sad they have a rule like that in place to begin with. Eat what you order!

Really a 3+. Anytime you can get a wide selection of sushi for an all you can eat price of $ 19.99(Mon-Thur) is pretty outstanding. Price goes up on Fri-Sat to $ 22.99 Great selection — Soup, salad, appetizer, nigiri, hand rolls and special rolls are all included in your price. If you want sashimi, add $ 2.00 to your overall price. Service was good. Waitress explained everything and showed us how to order. Everyone gets a 8X11 sheet to order off of. Just mark the number of pieces you want for each item, turn it in and the chefs roll/prepare everything fresh. My initial order was for 30+ pieces and it came out fairly quickly. Taste was decent, Not the best sushi I have had, but extremely good value for the price. Definitely a place to go back to when I have a hankering for a lot of sushi at a reasonable price. Oh, and the only slight drawback is trying to find parking in the evening in and around the Old Market.
