It’s unfortunate that this place has such good food because the people working there are completely incompetent and extremely rude. God forbid they charge you for something you didn’t order. The older woman that works there is always charging me for something I didn’t order or giving us a completely different order that couldn’t possibly have been mistaken for what we said, no matter how bad their speakers at the drive thru are. No matter how politely you bring it up to her she will get pissed and give you attitude while she begrudgingly fixes your order. I have begun driving an extra ten minutes out of my way to go to the Albertacos is Cypress just so I won’t have to be treated like a total piece. No tacos are that good…

This is essentially a place to get food late at night, perhaps surrounded by drunk people on the way out of bars in the area. There are a million places like this, and this one is on the lower end. In the area, there are many better options.

I happened to be in Orange and went by this place and realized that someone had recommended it to me. My phone was about to die so I couldn’t look up Unilocal reviews on what is «popular.» Well, little did I know they are known for Cali burritos and«nachos» made with fries… Never been a fan of either of these dishes. What’s the point of putting french fries in and under ingredients that turn them to mush? But I ordered a breakfast burrito(on the menu it states there are potatoes in it) and a carne asada burrito for my hubby. The Cali burrito did indeed have mushy fries in it and a minimum amount of egg, bacon and ham. It was just okay for me. My hubs did really enjoy his carne asada burrito and said he would order it again, although he did have an outer avocado pit in it. Both burritos were almost a foot long. The salsa is more like a sauce and doesn’t have any spiciness. I’d try this place again but will order those taquitos that look amazing from fan photos!

BESTMEXICANFOODEVER!!! Authentic, best spicy sauces, and nicest people. So cheap and definitely worth it. It’s greasy, but it’s real Mexican food.

Great food, have not been disappointed yet. You get what you pay for here and the tacos and burritos outperform any other Mexican restaurants that I am aware of.

I wont comment on the food but i will comment on the customer service. Now i live literally behind the building and it was nice taking a walk and stopping by to buy tacos or something BUT we stopped going, all because of the old woman who works there. She is so rude and angry looking. I stopped yesterday in emergency to buy lunch and drive thru. When i got my food she opened the window held her hand out i grabbed the food and before i could ask a question literally 1 second later she slams her little window closed. I was so furious because this will conclude the last miserable time we had to see her face and experience her customer service. Every single time we went she was there and every single time she was rude in her own little way. Not sure who she is but i give her a recommendation for customer service school and training. Notahappycustomer wont see them again!

Chicken lacks flavor. Sauce isn’t spicy at all. Not impressed with the pollo asado burrito.

Nothing quite tops a night out with friends than to end it with a California Burrito from Albertaco’s! If your cravings are strong early in the morning or had a long night of drinking, they’ve got you covered with their 24⁄7 service! –California Burritos are a huge hit here with their fusion of fries, cheese, sour cream, and Carne Asada all wrapped in a warm tortilla! Nothing hits the spot more than biting into a soft tortilla to only find a crunchy texture of fries and tender meat in the mix. –Super Fries are a great side edition to any order of burritos or tacos. A pile of golden crisp fries are topped with layers of cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, and Carne Asada(Add sour cream) to create one huge appetizing order! The portion is so huge that up to four people can share! Albertaco’s might not be the newest looking spot but don’t let looks deceive you. Unless you know the magic inside their burritos, you’ve probably passed this place. Give their California Burrito a chance and see how many times you pass this spot up afterwards!

Open your soda and check it to make sure there are no ants in it. I had finished my soda, opened the lid to eat the ice and there were dead and living ants in the entire cup. I’ll never go here again.

If I could give no stars I would. I wish I would have read the other review about them understanding. If I didn’t live so far I would drive back and ask for my money back. I ordered a hard shell taco Asada and cheese ONLY along with a burrito of rice beans cheese and Asada ONLY no onions or pico on anything. What I got was I have no idea. A cold nasty corn tortilla I think with meat pico and guacamole. A burrito the exact same with I think sour cream and tons of onions on both. I don’t know how this place has such a high rating but I will never be going back. BTW the meat was disgusting I tried a couple of random pieces and it’s chewy old and dried out. It all just went in the trash.

I don’t know what happened they used to be great. But if it takes 2 people to try to understand my question about breakfast. But between 3 staff members don’t know enough English to answer my question. I even tried my best Spanish, its not the greatest for being half Hispanic. But still it shouldn’t be that hard. And after all that the breakfast burritos were not even edible. Gave them to my dogs and went to omega burger instead.

I saw that they have hamburgers, so I gave it a try. It was a very mediocre burger with not much flavor and the bun was the worst part, Dry and stale.

Drunk? Hungover? Just want some greasy food? Come here! I was fairly tipsy and was craving a burrito. I’ve been wanting to try this place for no particular reason just that it’s close to home. Got here around midnight and it was empty. Which is surprising since chapman university is around the corner but I might have been too early. All the drunkies come after 2 am. I got the chorizo burrito with rice and beans added on. I asked if they could do it spicy and they said no :(luckily they have a salsa bar with jalapeños which I loaded up on thank you very much! Overall it was good! Super greasy though! At the time I didn’t care but looking back, damn it was greasy! It’ll take me time to work that burrito off: / They have drive thru too which is legit! Parking is easy but super small parking lot. Must get packed later on in the night. The people working were nice but I was a little frustrated when I asked for two things and he straight up said no. I get it your hours suck. Place was clean too so that’s a plus! I’d come back if I was in the area and wanted greasy, bad food.

The Carne Asada fries were abysmal. The service was rather quick and efficient which is why I will give 2 stars. I read a review saying the fry’s were hot and crispy so I tried them out. The helpings of crème and avocado was great. The fries were limp and there wasn’t very many of them, and the Carne Asada was really bland. I will never return again and I will look for another food place nearby which has better Carne Asada fries. At least one that has better seasoned meat.

BESTFRIES I HAVEEVERTRIEDINMYLIFE. They are hot, thin and crispy(stay like that for long time too). If you like McD’s or in n out’s fries, then you will LOVE their fries. I tried their adobada fries. O m g. I really love the fact that they put the guacamole and sour cream not in the middle on top of fries(which usually make the fries soggy), but on the sides in the box. Fries stayed crispy till the end! Breakfast burrito was not bad. It says 24 hr drive thru but I passed by it at 4AM tuesday and it was closed.

Food quality of this place has gone down. Salsas are too watery for my taste. Food is too bland. no flavor. Etc. Not my go to place for mexican food anymore.

Pretty good! Found it on Unilocal after looking for a late-night run and wanting to try something other than our usual Taqueria de Anda down the street. It was pretty good and we’ll definitely be back especially for the carnitas. I ordered a carnitas taco and chicken torta and my wife ordered the carne asada plate. The carne asada was OK — not as seasoned or as well-cooked as we like but it was alright. The chicken torta was pretty good — the chicken was moist and pretty tasty; nothing extraordinary. The carnitas were the star here — they fried the carnitas up so they were a bit crunchy which is more of a rarity but the best way to prepare them. Oh, and we also ordered a horchata to wash it all down :) Portions are LARGE here — I ordered just one taco, thinking it was gonna be small and also because it’s $ 2.80(which you would think is expensive for a taco), since I was having a torta. I kid you not, the taco and the torta were the same size! The tacos are $ 2.80 here but are equivalent to 2 – 3 of the smaller street tacos that you’d normally get elsewhere. The carne asada plate was pretty large too — I helped my wife finish half of it before bringing the leftovers back. I only finished half the torta as well but I was holding back ;) In short, the carnitas are great here. Hopefully it wasn’t a one-time wonder kind of thing but after reading some other reviews they seem to be pretty consistently good on that. I’ll be back next time we’re craving Mexican.

So when I discovered that the Alberto’s on State College is gross I decided to give Albertaco’s a try. Yep! One try is all it took to seal the deal and cross Albertos off the list for good. Albertaco’s is open 24 hours(at least their sign says so) and there might be a bit of a line at times it’s definitely worth the wait. The sauce is actually saucy and not thin like water and they give you a good amount. I hate when you go to taco stands and they give you one sauce. I’m a heavy dipper and I needs tons of sauce. Hook me up! I ordered the rolled tacos(taquitos for you gringos) and they were amazing. The guacamole was nice and thick and didn’t taste old. My bf got a carne asada burrito and judging by the look on his face when I asked for a bite I’ll say that it must be good. Also, the service at this location actually isn’t bad. Not that I expect service to be phenomenal at places like this but it’s always nice when it’s good. Anyway. My first choice is always Cali Tacos but Albertaco’s comes in at a close second. Like, it’s almost a tie.

Accept credit cards! But $ 0.50 cent charge for using card. Ordered the breakfast burrito($ 3.65) came with eggs, ham, bacon, fries, and cheese. It was pretty good. The burrito was a good size, not wrapped fat like chipotle, but skinny and long. They have a salsa bar with green and red sauce and jalapeño carrots. I heard their shrimp burrito and chile relleno(stuffed chili burrito) was really good, I will try those next! I also heard their carne asada fries are enormous. Pretty big menu and pretty good prices for the amount of food you get. Overall good Mexican food for a good price.
