The food is AMAZING !! The first time I was here I got the Hawaiian pancakes! & my husband had one of the skillets and it was sooooo delicious! I am back here again to try something else and I know it will be as delicious as the first time! Truly recommend this place to anyone who loves to eat breakfast!

If you are starving this is definitely the place you want to come and eat at! I came here a couple of Sunday’s ago with a couple of my friends. They ordered some breakfast items and I ordered of the lunch menu and I got the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich with fries, and it came with a side of soup and and pasta salad! So much food for an amazing price. The sandwich was really good and their are steak fries which are my favorite. The reason I gave this place a 4⁄5 is because of the way of payment. After you eat you get your receipt and you go to the front to pay for your food. The girl who was delegating the cashier was so unbelievable rude to me and even said«Are you going to leave a tip?» while I had the receipt and pen in my hand and I wasn’t even done writing everything out! I really didn’t want to because of her just saying that.

This is the cutest place and its DELICIOUS!!! I was quite impressed with the quality of service and great food. Our server was so helpful and was so excited to just be there, which means a lot to me. I got the banana/lemon pancakes, potatoes(WHICHWEREMYABSOLUTEFAVORITEEVER!!!), eggs, and bacon. My sister got a simple breakfast with fruit, eggs and sausage. She was also happy with her breakfast! Overall, I will recommend & crave this place all the time!

I have never even heard of this place til my Mom asked me to drive here to meet the family for some brunch. Honestly, the only issues I have for this place is the parking and the waiting time. I am a pretty patient person though so I have no need to deduct a star because of the wait. It only makes sense because this place is popular and the food is amazing. There is also no reason to deduct a star for terrible parking as well. It’s not their fault the lot is small. Who knew this place would be poppin several years later and would need a multi-level parking structure. The customer service here is outstanding. Prior to being seated, we were apologized to by several employees regarding the wait. Our waitress showed exceptional customer service. I just wished I remembered her name to give her some praise. She smiled the entire time while serving us, and also checked up on us very frequently. I ordered the Irish Benedict. Oh goodness. I was so full. It was so delicous, that I cleaned the plate. Eggs are cooked to order and I prefer mine over medium. They were spot-on. The corn beef was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I definitely need to go back. They have a huge menu, and one visit is simply not enough.

Wow… just wow. Let’s start with the bad. Parking there is awful. Took 20 mins to get a spot and I heard people say their wait to get seated was shorter than time to find a spot. Service was good and prompt. Portion sizes are very large for the price. We ordered an Irish Benedict, Flappy’s Signature(German pancakes with fruit) and a Country Skillet(which comes with a short stack of pancakes). Everything was awesome. If you like extra crispy hash browns you won’t enjoy theirs but for me they were the best I’ve ever had. Almost creamy in texture. The pancakes were nice and fluffy(not as special as ricotta pancakes but for standard just right). The fruit in the FS were fresh. They use lots of hollandaise on the benedict(most places don’t put enough for me). On sweet items you can pay a couple extra dollars and get 2 eggs and either a meat or hash browns(I’d get the hash browns). Other than the parking, this is breakfast perfection.

My family loves this place. Food is delicious and service is great. It is always busy but somehow we’re always seated pretty fast. Menu has so many great options from healthy to guilty pleasures lol. Parking is a bit hard although its a big lot. To me a full lot = great place.

I don’t normally wake up in time for breakfast, but it’s one of my favorite meals of the day. Breakfast is so generic there are only so many ways to make bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. But this place stands out for one of my favorite spots. Broken yolk is another one of my favorites. I normally get steak and eggs(ribeye preferably — they do tri tip or New York here) decided to venture off the beaten path. Went for the pork chops and eggs with home fries(hashbrowns) and short stack of pancakes. The pancakes which they are known for were fluffy and yummy. Hashbrowns on point the way I like them, toasted on the outside and nice and soft in the middle. Scrambled eggs like meh. But the best part were the you guessed it, pork chops. I feel pork is underrated and gets a bad rap. The chops were perfectly grilled and seasoned not too dry still semi moist and just amazing. I would even go as to say they could’ve done a little less done. Yea I’m dangerous like that. Bring on the trichinosis. Anyways check out the picture. It’s worth well the 1000 words. If you LOVE breakfast come here don’t be discouraged by the tough parking and waits. If there’s a wait at a spot it must be good. I’ll definitely be back for the pork chops again.

The skillets are the best. I don’t know what you’re looking for to convince you to go or to get the skillet. Just get it. Get it. Get it.

Horrible customer service from one of the manager’s I believe her name was Veronica. Food wise their skillets are delicious. Strawberry cheesecake pancakes, meh ihop’s are better. After being treated the way I was treated by a manager there I’ll never go back. I work in customer service so I kept calm until the very end when I couldn’t deal with her rude attitude anymore.

I’ve been wanting to check out this place for awhile but it’s always surrounded by people and parking is very limited. Me and my boyfriend finally decided to put our name down and wait it out. The wait was actually not as horrible as it looked, maybe 15 minutes, we didn’t get a wait time when we put our name down. The atmosphere is pretty cool and the menu is extensive. I eventually decided to order the California Skillet. They have very large portions which is nice, but I wasn’t at all blown away by the food nor the service. Still unclear as to why this place is always so crowded. Good but not exceptional.

This is my breakfast go to spot. Ask me where I go get breakfast. Go ahead ask me. «Where do you get breakfast skater?» «Flappy Jacks! These are the Flappy Jacks you’re looking for» «Yes, these are the best panacakes I was looking for» «Now go and feast!» «Yes, yes I will» Now for those of you who are not affected by Jedi Mind tricks, I offer an open forum: Pros: best effen oatmeal ever. I mean ever. Get the Epicurean oatmeal. –protip: it cures hangovers I have also thoroughly enjoyed the Spartan! It’s what a true Spartan eats. Eggs, fruit, turkey, boom! But trust me. If you are craving pancakes. You will not regret the strawberry pancakes. My girlfriend usually gets them with fresh strawberries instead of the compote. The homemade whipped cream is bomb dot com .com. She always tells me. «These remind me of how grandma used to make em and Alton Brown stole her recipe» Cons: they close at 3pm :(wish they were open all the time!!!

This has been near my home for so long and I never knew! Came here to get breakfast with a friend on a Thursday morning around 10 and it seemed a little packed. Parking was actually really hard to find so I was concerned there was gonna be a wait. However for just two of us the there was 0 wait so thank goodness. The layout is of a typical breakfast diner so good for groups of about 4. I ended up getting the nsb French toast just based off the name and made it a combo with eggs and hash browns. It was HUGE and not what I expected! It came as a French toast cake/sandwich with Nutella strawberries and bananas! Definitely more food than I expected. Super sweet so fair warning. But delicious! My friend ordered crepes which were also bigger than she expected. In other words, at least based off this one experience, sharing would be a goooood idea. Will edit when I go back. Staff is also really nice! I appreciate their kindness and help! Will definitely come back again.

Pancakes, pancakes and more delicious pancakes. There’s an array of delicious breakfast options being served here. This place is pretty packed for breakfast and closes fairly early so be sure to get here early.

Loved this place! Found it on a whim getting ready to leave Orange County for Palm Springs. It was really hoppin’ too and we were afraid there was going to be a long wait but nope, we were seated immediately. I had a great omelet stuffed with chorizo, but alas! No tortillas. Really? That’s ok. It was a decent breakfast at a good price in a pleasant atmosphere.

Came here for brunch with a friend on a Saturday. Parking was a bit tricky but I was able to find a spot after a few minutes. For a table for two, we waited about 10 minutes which wasn’t bad, especially with how busy the place looked. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. She answered all my questions with a smile and the food was brought out in a timely matter. I ordered the german pancake with some fresh fruits and eggs and bacon on the side. The food was plentiful and is probably enough for two people or a really hungry person lol. The total came out to be around $ 20 per person which is a bit high for breakfast but the food was good and the experience was pleasant. I think this is a good place to bring the family and enjoy a nice brunch out.

Clean, courtesy, and happiness. The food is very flavorful. Presentation is colorful and it all comes with a smile. My food allergies were respected and I was offered breakfast just the way I asked for it. The server guided me through the menu for excellent service. This is our second visit, and we will be back. Worth the drive.

This is the place to go for your pancake fix! Flappy Jack has another location in Glendora, but this location makes it so convenient for me to satisfy my pancake craving. It’s just off the freeway behind the Chevron. They even have their own parking lot with signs designated just for them. The first time I visited, I was so overwhelmed by the menu. You have a full page each of egg items, pancakes, waffles, crepes, French toast, etc. They also serve good lunch sandwiches. A lot of reviews mentioned the stuffed French toast, which I also tried. However, it got really sweet within the first two bites. I did not need maple syrup or the fruit syrup that came with it(your choice of apple cinnamon, blueberry, or strawberry). Breakfast should not feel like dessert. A more fulfilling breakfast would be like one of the scramblers, which comes with a short stack. The pancakes are what you should order here. Afterall, that’s what the restaurant is called. I have not had a lighter, fluffier pancake elsewhere. Even IHOP can’t make their pancakes like this. Service is great here. I love that they have a system down. There will always be one or several hosts(esses) to help your party. There may be a long wait in the morning because they are so popular. They have coloring activities for kids and lots of candy for on the way out. I suggest borrowing a menu while you’re waiting because it’s going to be difficult deciding what to order!

One of the best breakfast diners I’ve ever tried. It’s not fancy or trendy, but the service is very sweet, and the food is delicious and hearty. The Denver skillet is a huge portion with generous amounts of hash browns, peppers, diced ham and cheese. It’s topped with 2 eggs, and I popped my two over easy’s so the glorious yolk coated the cheesy hash brown mixture and made a delicious mix. It came with 2 excellent pancakes which were soft, fluffy and not dense at all. They keep your coffee mug perpetually filled, and the servers are generous with their smiles. The portion was so large that I ate half for brunch and the other half for dinner! Would love to come back and try their country gravy and biscuits.

Uh. We came here once. And after our first impression of the food, we’d probably never come back. The restaurant is nice and large with vintage type décor. They have their own parking lot, but fills up quickly. The staff was nice and service was fast. The food, on the other had, was not what we were hoping for. We were so excited for our breakfast. The portions were large, so no issue there. With a name like Flappy Jacks, we were hoping for some of the best pancakes ever. We ordered bacon pancakes and a blueberry waffle, both of which were on the dry side and fell apart easily. Bacon pancakes sound awesome, right? We thought so, but I think we will have to pass on this concoction from Flappy Jacks. Waaaay too much bacon. Sounds weird, but it’s possible. A bit too salty for our liking. We didn’t think you could go wrong with hash browns or eggs or bacon. But, they weren’t tasty at all. Very bland. The hash browns were on the mushy side… wish they had even a little crisp on them. Maybe we just got an off meal? Whatever the case, we would not recommend this place. Better off going to Denny’s or IHOP.

«Can’t talk, stuffing my face,» that’s the answer my brother gave me as I asked him about how his training was going. He’s been sent to LA for 6 weeks for company training, for his job. This diner by the freeway was packed for lunch. About an hour and a half wait. Had their Athenian Skillet which has gyro meat, spinach, mushrooms, and feta cheese. The gyro meat was moist, but didn’t taste very flavorful. If I didn’t know it was gyro meat, I would have thought it was just a plain meatball. Yet, the potato hash browns were cooked perfectly, and the skillet itself was tasty if you mixed all the contents together. The pancakes tasted good, like good pancakes should they had a good texture and nice vanilla and buttermilk flavor. Mr brother’s meat omelette was solid too. Had ham, bacon, sausage, and a lot of cheese. He seemed to like it. The service was good and on point, and it was overall a good dining experience for a roadside café.
