Jeff’s Inviting Food and Spirits

Played Unilocal Roulette and landed at Jeff’s. Not knowing what to expect, I was quite surprised by the ambiance and the hospitality by the staff. It literally felt like Cheers, where everybody knows your name. Everyone knew each other including the staff knew folks by name.
I ordered the filet and scallops with side of green beans and asparagus. Chef Sergio grilled my filet to perfection! Highly recommend it.
I met the owner, Jeff, at the beginning of my experience. He kept acknowledging me by my first name… true customer service!
Thank you to Jeff, Gary and Chef Sergio for making my first experience a pleasant one. I’ll be sure to bring my family on my next visit.
Recommendation to anyone dining at Jeff’s…make reservations! This is a hidden gem where regulars come back frequently.

My husband and I came in on a whim since I read so many great reviews on Unilocal.And we were surprised by how small, but cozy this establishment was. We were seated immediately and greeted with a warm friendly smile. We both ordered steaks medium rare. However, when my husband received his order, his steak was cooked medium well, but he shrugged it off and continued to eat b’coz he said it was still good. Our server came to check on us and she noticed the steak wasn’t cooked the way he wanted and called it out for him… my hubs agreed but said it’s ok. But, she insisted on getting him what he ordered and asked if she can do that for him. So he agreed and waited patiently for his order to return. And sure enough, it returned this time as perfect a medium rare steak could be. Even the owner of the restaurant stopped by our table to check in and see if it was cooked properly this time. Everyone went above and beyond and was so friendly about it.
I love the open face kitchen… you can see your food being prepared practically in front of you. They have a nice wine selection to pair with dinner. very pleased with our first dining experience and looking forward to returning!

Again and again they make us amazing food and the service is awesome! The owner is there daily and is super friendly.

My wife and I enjoy having date nights and discovering new restaurants is part of the experience. We recently visited Jeff’s place for the second time and we enjoyed it even more than the first time.
Jeff himself welcomes you and remains on site to make sure everything is taken care of to his standards. The food is delicious as Jeff himself shops for it daily. Everything is prepared after you place your order. The ambiance is like being at Jeff’s house.
Don’t be fooled by the commercial center location. Once inside you’ll be transported to this neighborhood gem.

Had a wonderful dinner on the recommendation of friends. We have been ardently searching for a quality restaurant and I truly believe we have found our place.

Love the ambiance and the food is great! Jeff, the owner really gets to know his guests as well as the bartender, Gary. This was our first time to the restaurant and we shared an appetizer, a meal and dessert– dessert was on the house! We will definitely be back.

I went in as a recommendation from a friend that said I should try Jeff’s. I sat at the bar area which was in front of the people that were cooking the meals. I was greeted by the waitress. She went over the menu with me and told me about the meals. I ordered a drink and then my dinner. I ordered the swordfish with asparagus and green beans. I got to watch the cook prepare my meal. How cool!!!
As I was waiting Jeff himself came by and greeted me. Now that was cool. Jeff explained that all his meals are fresh. They have to freezers to keep food overnight. Jeff said he buys his supplies every day so everything is fresh. Jeff was a really nice person. Jeff watched over his crew and talked to most customers. Jeff made me feel like I was just as important as the rest of the customers.
I watched the cooks make a few hamburgers that looked really good… They had a lot of meat and bacon on top. The buns looked really good to. The stakes looked great! Wow this place really makes some good food!
I also got to see a salad made up, once I did I wish I got one. It was that good looking!
My food came out hot and looked really good. The swordfish was prepared perfect! I have gone to a lot of other places for swordfish but let me tell you, Jeff’s cooks the swordfish right! Perfect!!! The vegetables were also really good! All in all, the meal was perfect!
The price is not bad for what you get. There were a few choices of sides with your main meal. The drink prices were really fair. The people next to me said that the Martinis were really good and I should try one next time!
I would recommend Jeff’s if you are looking for a really good dinner and great friends. I will be coming back here for sure! I thank Jeff and your great staff for a great dinner and altogether great evening at your place!!!

My husband and I have been coming a for a year now. I love sitting at the bar. The owner is almost always there and is very friendly and speaks to everyone. The food is really good, especially the risotto.

What a wonderful place. The food is outstanding and cooked fresh. Jeff the owner and Jewel’s behind the bar were very friendly. A very warm atmosphere and would highly recommend. Definitely will become one of our main stops for a great dinner.

Fantastic food, service, went there with 3 good friends stayed for hours. Owner was great host and made sure we where taken care of. From outside restaurant doesn’t look much, but once inside had great atmosphere. Hidden gem of Orange

This place is such a hidden gem in Orange! They have the smallest touches that really make this place one of a kind. For example they ask everyone’s name before serving you and the owner is almost always here to greet you. Awesome ambiance and food is always great quality. We have had several servers here and they have always been nothing but pleasant! Angela was our server tonight and she was so sweet!

No doubt one of the best restaurants in Orange County!
I had the Rib Eye and my wife had the Salmon. Both were Amazing! Also, try the mushroom risotto (side dish) you’ll be happy you did.
Owner «Jeff» and his good friend of thirty years Gary are part of the experience. They make you feel like you’re part of their extended family.
Make sure you get there between 5:00 — 6:30 to sit at the bar and watch Chef Paul prepare the freshest and best tasting food in town!

It was love at first bite!!! I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Never before had I enjoyed a meal so much as I did at Jeff’s. Food is fresh and by fresh I mean nothing is frozen or microwaved. Simply amazing fresh ingredients and very talented chefs. You must and should book a reservation because the place is just that delicious that everyone wants a piece of that kind of heaven!!!

Great local restaurant with amazing food ! Always enjoy sitting at the counter and watching Chef Paul work his magic. Jeff the owner is nearly always here and stops by to say hello. Super friendly staff and great ambience. Had the Pork special which was amazing

Jeff’s is a wonderful gem of a find that is located in a random strip mall in Orange. I only knew of Jeff’s because it is in the same strip mall where Oshima, one of my favorite sushi restaurants in OC, is located.
Jeff’s is basic American fare. But, everything is prepared fresh. There are no freezers on the premises and all produce are delivered daily. I sat at the bar, in front of the Chefs doing their work. Let me tell you, I can attest, EVERYTHING is cooked from scratch, including the side dishes. Even the fries are individually sliced.
All the dishes we had were great but the mushroom risotto was outstanding. We had it as a side dish but requested another order for dessert. It was that good! The risotto was freshly prepapred and was perfectly al dente.
I am a fan of Jeff’s and may just become a regular!

Another great night last night at Jeff’s. We were immediately greeted by the owner upon walking in and were lucky enough to get the last 2 bar seats available. Gary made a delicious Lemon Drop Martini for my girlfriend while I had a Moscow Mule. We started with the bacon wrapped shrimp and ceased salad for appetizers. Both were amazing; this was our 3^rd time at Jeff’s and we have gotten the bacon wrapped shrimp every time!
For entrees we ordered the Cheeseburger and Chicken plate and both were fantastic.

Another great evening at Jeff’s. Had the wild Ahi which was perfectly cooked. I could have make a meal out of the mushroom risotto. For a starter the scallops went well with a recommended Sauvignon Blanc. Took my own red wine. Also my date ordered the Sword fish and that was over the top prepared and cooked. Always a fun time at Jeff’s. Always recommended. Monday Tuesday is a good day to try first as Thursday thru Saturday get filled quickly. Everything is always fresh nothing frozen.

Such a great restaurant for intimate dinners. We were celebrating a birthday today and it was the perfect spot. It was hard to pick a dish from the menu as it offered all my favorites. It was a nice touch the owner introduced himself and the high standards in their food preparations. Service was excellent with Alex; charismatic and attentive.
Our party of 4 ended up trying the shrimp, scallops, ahi and rib eye. With a few Moscow mules and wine of course. All happy campers. Coming back to try the salmon next!

I’ve been wanted to take my husband here for a while. I had come here previously with one of my friends and really liked the food and service here. Yesterday, I was glad to finally get the chance to bring him here!
We began with the Wedge Salad. Covered with blue cheese crumbles, pieces of bacon, tomato, and onions, this salad was a wonderful way to start our meal. My husband ordered the Filet. It was so delicious! I stole a bite (or two) and really thought it was great. I ordered the Seared Scallops, and this was wonderful too. I ordered the sautéed mushrooms and potatoes on the side, and these were delicious as well!
We had to order the dessert. We asked the waitress what she’d order, and she mentioned the Chocolate Cake. She said that it was not only pretty but delicious too. She was right. This dessert was really yummy. This cake was nice and light considering that is was chocolate. It was a great way of ending our meal!
The service was great here! Not only did the owner come around and introduce himself to each table, but our waitress was so friendly and helpful. She was really thoughtful. She refilled our drinks before they even close to being empty, and checked on us constantly.
This restaurant is great! Tucked away in strip mall off Tustin Ave. in Orange, Jeff’s is really worth checking out!
