We were looking for a quick bite. We stopped in and decided to give Roly Poly a shot. I ordered the baja soup and the Spinach salad. The soup was good. Hot and it had a little bit of spice. The salad was good. For the price it should have came with chicken. It was kind of expensive for a Spinach salad. My husband had a wrap with chicken and Chipotle sauce. He said it was just ok. We ordered my daughter the grilled cheese. It was not grilled cheese. It was a cheese quesadilla. They should just advertise that in the menu. My daughter’s meal came with a drink. I was disappointed that they didn’t have milk or chocolate milk. They had a Kool aid pouch. We got that and poured it into a cup with water to dilute it. Overall it was just ok. Not something I would hop into my car and crave. Work on the kids menu.

I honestly loved this place the first few times I went. Inexpensive, filling and inventive options for sandwiches. I was impressed. And then– they messed up my order twice in a row and now I don’t think I’ll be back. I used the online ordering system this time around– how can you mess up something I wrote down for you? Very irritating. Nice people, nice establishment, but if you can’t get my food right, you’e all wrong.

Shhhh!!! There’s a secret sandwich here. It’s the Delhi Chicken Sandwich, #31. It’s delicious with its curried mayo and avocado and chicken salad(It’s supposed to come with pineapple, which they never have, but I find it to be better without it anyway). I also die over the Harvest Mushroom Bisque soup. Not sure what makes it a bisque and my stomach always feels a little funny if i eat a whole sandwich AND the soup, but that is a lot of food. Prices are fair. It’s better than Subway, right? I don’t go here often but it does make my lunch rounds every other week or so.

I wanted to like this place, so much, it has the location, the idea of being better than Panera, but it fell so short. I had the turkey with stuffing and cranberry, thinking it was going to be a sandwich, it was a wrap. No big deal, a wrap is cool, but it was less than eh, The turkey looked like it was purchased from a low grade provider, plus it was one or two slices. I also ordered the broccoli and cheese soup. Its absolutely not homemade, which would be ok if it wasn’t watered down and kinda gross. The owner sat in front, counting receipts at a nearby table, just tacky. Plus the marketing, posters, etc, are so outdated, its kind of laughable. I wont go back unless a major overhaul is done.

Used to go 3 times a week, until the new owners arrived. Gave them a shot, but it has gone down hill on a weekly basis. It has gotten dirty, the sandwiches not prepared as well, and just a general negative vibe…

Alright, is Roly Poly spelled correctly? Their website says the name comes from the words«rolled sandwich». Now I’ve never won a spelling bee in my life but isn’t that two L’s? The founder of the franchise comes from Fairfield County… New Cannon to be exact. Maybe that explains the spelling error. You can have all the money in the world to start a business but it doesn’t necessarily buy you brains. I can’t speak for their Boston Post Road location because I’ve never been there, but I did sample their food recently at a catered event. To be honest their wraps were beyond bad, they were pathetic. Maybe I was just unlucky and picked the two worst wraps of the bunch, but there was hardly any meat inside them. I hate to say this, but if Subway catered the event it would have been a big improvement.

I’ve only had my Goddaughter’s father bring it home for dinner. But they stood up to the standard I’m used to at Roly Poly. I think they got one thing wrong on my special request list. But it was still yummy.

Roly Poly is a good sandwich shop for a quick lunch. Their hours are a little odd, and they close somewhat early, so it is probably best to check if they’re open before deciding to go in. Most, if not all, of their sandwiches are wraps(hence their name making use of the pun for ‘roll’, as in ‘rolled up’). This makes their sandwiches a bit more exotic than the average deli. I have been at this location several times. Customer service is average and is always friendly. The interior is very plain and has a fast food feel to it, though it’s clean and the food is very fresh. I usually get the Spicy Thai Tuna wrap and I have no complaints. It’s been consistently good. They do soups pretty well here also. I’ve tried a few varieties and they’ve all been tasty. The menu is fairly extensive, with lots of variety. Many of their wraps sound delicious, but I like the tuna enough that I keep ordering that the occasional times that I have had lunch here. Prices are average, maybe a bit high for a deli. I believe that they do catering/can do large volume orders as well. I seem to remember seeing this option posted on a sign or menu in the shop.
