Fish tacos are amazing and a very good deal on Tuesdays. The service was excellent and the workers were extra friendly.

This place is great but a little pricey for what you get. I like the tacos that are not covered in batter and stuff a lot more. Those are too greasy.

LOVE Rubio’s. I crave their fish taco especial almost daily. I go there every tuesday for taco tuesday because tacos are half off, so worth it!!!
This location is usually pretty busy, but service has always been good, and the food even better! Highly recommend!!!

The fish tacos were pretty good but served luke warm.
I don’t recommend the tortilla soup. It was served Luke warm as well and used rice filler which wasn’t my preference. The bowl of soup was about the size of a standard cup.
Might have been an off day but I doubt I’ll be back. Very slow ordering process!

Not impressed. Overpriced for small portions. Sauces in every meal were spicy. We don’t anticipate returning to this restaurant.

Rubios in Orem, I have bought lunch from you about once weekly for the past 18 months. And both the service and the quality/​accuracy of my food has improved greatly over the past 6 months. You used to suck, but now you are consistently spot-​on. The management must be doing something right to turn this place around.
And the fish tacos, oh my gosh. They are the perfect incarnation of costal Mexican street tacos, minus the travelers diarrhea. Amazingly delicious. Plus, Tuesday afternoon they are just $ 1.50 each. Rubios, you are the reasonably-​priced indulgence I love.

went in there for lunch order 2 street tacos, a few chips and salsa and a drink. $ 11.00. I could of went to sizzler for that.
I won’t go back too much money for mediocre food.
needs some food safety classes. sanitation could improve.

We had ordered bean and cheese burritos which usually are just bean and cheese at every restaurant, however, this came with a lot of salsa inside which we did not want, the manager, Jared was very very kind and acted more than happy to help us fix this problem! I very much appreciate service like this and the food (after corrected) tasted great!

Even though Rubios is a chain restaurant, it still deserves a solid 4 star in my opinion. The food is fantastic. I don’t go anywhere else for fish tacos anymore. The original fish taco is fried to perfection and has a lot of flavor, but the gourmet shrimp taco is easily the best dish here. It has melted cheese along the entire tortilla and fresh shrimp and a sauce that is great. If you’re trying to eat clean the salads here are awesome, the shrimp and bacon salad is my go to. The salsa bar has a lot of options and its self serve so you can get as much as you want. This location is always clean and the employees are nice and helpful. Definitely recommend.

You get a free entrée on your birthday if you sign up :). Other than that I’m not really a fan… But you can’t compete with some of the «Mexican» food around here… It’s not fair.

I am really pleased with my experience today. The service was fast and friendly and the food was good. I ordered fish tacos which I love. I like the sauce that they put on them not to mention the piece of fish fillet is a good size. The beans and rice are just beans and rice. Nothing really special or tasteful with them.
What impressed me the most about this place was, after I was done with my meal, one of the workers, who may have been a manager, came up to me, asked me how my meal was and offered me some free chips and salsa. That’s the kind of service that you remember. He also took away my trash. I ate the chips and salsa. And walked away feeling satisfied with the service I had received.

Mediocre Mexican food. Their fish tacos are pretty good, but only go on Tuesdays when there is a discount.

I tried to Rubio’s for the first time today I was not pleased with their service. I waited for over 25 minutes for two fish tacos, ended up having to have them make it to go because I missed my lunch break! I will not be back!

Not a huge fan of this restaurant. We went for taco Tuesday and yes it was a little more busy than they usually are but it wasn’t ridiculously busy. After ordering we ended up waiting 30 minutes until our 4 tacos came out. They really didn’t taste all that great either. Later that night I was sick and was still sick into the day after. I probably won’t be going back here.

We visited the Rubios in Orem and were extremely disappointed. Slow (30 – 45 min wait), cold food, bad service, small portions and several people in our party never received their food. I’ve never visited a restaurant that failed in so many ways.

3.5 stars, and let me tell you why.
Rubios is a great concept. Fast Mexican food, with a variety of options. I just have a couple of issues. I have now been here twice within the last two weeks and I’ve had mixed experiences.
Overall, I feel like the temperature of my food when I get it is not nearly where it should be. It feels lukewarm half the time, and I personally like my food to come out hot. Last week I got Mahi Mahi tacos. The flavor is there. they are a kick in the mouth and they are delicious. I just wish they came out hot. Today I had the chicken enchiladas. These were also very very delicious, but they came out slightly cold and my rice was undercooked to the point of crunchiness.
I keep coming back here for the flavor. The atmosphere is great. the prices are a little steep and my food isn’t super hot, but I’ll give it a few more chances.

My Server Jordan L. was Great really friendly and professional. I would go back just for him.

Always great service here, clean, self serve salsa, good location! Healthy! I always get the veggie burrito. Lots of parking. Good prices. Not much more to say than that :)

FISH TACO TUESDAYS!!!
I’m torn about the 3 stars. Most of the food was a 5, but there were some things that were just meh.
Downsides first:
the wait was more than I thought it would be. There were several people working in the kitchen, and only 5 people ordering: a couple a baby, and the hubby and I. We ordered 3 fish tacos and a burrito, and waited close to 30 minutes. If they had something to munch on while we waited, that would have been ideal, but that wasn’t an option so it felt like forever.
Their chips. Oh my gosh. They were supposedly fresh, but they were stale. You know that texture chips get when the bag has been left open for weeks? Same thing. But here’s the kicker: most of them were stale, but then I had one that was… chewy? What the freak just happened?
Now for the upsides:
I got their shrimp burrito and it was well worth the money. It was really good, my only complaint would be the lack of shrimp. I paid $ 8.00, so I shouldn’t expect a whole lot, but considering the burrito covered almost my entire plate, there should have been more than 5 shrimp. But the flavors were all there and the rice and beans were perfect. The tortilla was soft, with that outer crisp you get with a great burrito.
HOLY FISH TACOS. So good. They were as fresh as they could get, still almost hot from the fryer. I love that they give the option of flour or corn tortillas, since I prefer corn and the hubby loves flour. Tuesdays are officially my favorite day for food.
I love their salsa. I’m usually picky about salsa: don’t like it runny but don’t like it chunky. But their picante salsa hit the spot. It wasn’t too spicy, but not bland either.
I will be coming back for sure. Maybe for the rest of the Tuesdays of my life.

If I were just rating the food, I’d give it 5 stars. Delicious, fresh, and with lots of options.
But it’s just so expensive for the small portions you get. Maybe it depends on the entrée or day of the week, but I probably won’t be back often just for that alone. I’m a big eater and just didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth.
