Poor management. How do you not anticipate who your customers are. One hour wait at 2am?! Walked in and no one even looked at us for 30min.

First time coming here, and was pretty disappointed in the experience. When we walked in, there was no one to seat us. Waited for a couple minutes until a worker came from the back of the kitchen. Service was slow and we waited for the food for a pretty long time even though there wasnt too many people here. I wont be coming back here. There are definitely better breakfast/brunch places in the area

Don’t bother going here. When we were seated the waitress sat down next to us to take the order and claimed we were her«favorite customers» it was the first time we’ve been there!! The coffee was warm not hot, and when the food arrived 40mins later it was ice cold. I mentioned it to a waitress she said she’d take care of it and walked away to another table. I asked to speak to a manager none was available. We decided to leave if this is how their«favorite customers«are treated what’s in store for the«regular ones»

this Ihop location is the one me and my fiancée always go to if we want to eat breakfast or brunch after gym. they have good service and reasonable price for the portion they give. could be better in keeping the food hot. sometimes it comes out cold when they bring it to the table. and they should train their cooks better. and other than that this place would be perfect. customer service is great. waitress are bery friendly and attentive, only the food preperation needs some improvements.

This location was amazing! Melanie our server and hostess was doing double duty due to an employee out sick But that didn’t stop her from giving us the best service we’ve received in a very long time. I tried the all you can eat pancake special(meh) Hubby had the steak and eggs(not bad) but it was the service that made the meal and my husbands eggs were cooked perfectly. Overall if we are in the neighborhood again we would consider this place again. Keep up the great work Melanie.

I stopped by to satisfy a sweet tooth and the food was certainly good. The service was a little slow but earned a solid 4 stars for effort and pleasantness. When I went in I saw one employee leaving in a rush, leaving the manager and a single waiter to handle a dozen tables. While things did take longer, the waiter was sincerely apologetic and I never saw him stop moving the entire time we were there. The manager did the same and went out of his way to take responsibility for the understaffing when it seemed unlikely it actually was his fault. The manager bussed tables, served drinks, etc to ensure that we got out in a timely enough fashion. The waiter was pleasant and genuine even under pressure. He really saved the experience. Would definitely go back since the food was good and the service was sincere.

I was curious to come here as I really wanted to see how bad this location was. Since so many reviews had a lot of negative things to say. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience. When we first walked in we were seated promptly, but the guy working the entrance was wearing a jacket and a beanie. I understand that it’s cold, but wear a name tag so I realize you work here. The only reason I figured it out is because he carried menus and walked us to our table. Our waitress was super courteous and worked very efficiently. I could tell this location is well staffed as there were many employees working and the service was quick and professional for a busy Sunday afternoon. We were hoping to beat the lunch rush and were in and out in 45 minutes. The food we ate was delicious and just the right portion size. There was one employee in particular who walked around in an ihop t shirt with no name tag and large headphones on his head. He had approached our table and asked us for our sugar holder to refill it. Again, with no name tag on we had no idea who he was, and my mom thought he was someone off the street asking for money. Maybe the employees should wear aprons or name tags instead of just t-shirts so we can tell who they are. Just a suggestion. The restroom was nice and clean, just super cold. And two of the stalls in the women’s restroom won’t close properly and I was afraid of getting locked in. Lol. Otherwise, it was a positive experience, and will definitely go back.

I used to come to IHOP with my friends in high school almost every week. We loved it there and we always felt at home. I don’t know what happened, but in the last couple of years this place has really gone down the drain. The servers are split-half are really friendly and helpful, while the others don’t seem to care about being there at all. It’s always freezing. They claim they’re open 24 hours but the hours seem to always be changing. I’ve called in to ask questions before and received very rude responses. The food even isn’t up to its usual standard anymore. I used to have great memories coming here, but now I avoid it completely. There are plenty of other breakfast places that are consistent with their service.

Bad service. She didn’t write anything down so it is no surprise that out order came out wrong. And cold. We also asked three times for drinks and had to flag down a busboy for refills after sending our food back. It was a Sunday but the Rush was over and half the tables were open. I’m still sitting here with an empty glass waiting for our check. My food still came out wrong but I don’t even have time to wait for them to re make it, I already had to get it in a to go box because this took so long.

Poor service would be putting it nicely. I sat down and waited 10 minutes for my server to come to my table. In that span that I was waiting, two servers came in the vicinity and neither one said a damn thing to me. They just stared at me and walked off. If I had an option to give this place no stars I’d do it. For as long as I’m still breathing, I’ll never be back.

We have been to this IHOP a few times. The food is good, inexpensive but the service leaves something to be desired. We always wait at the front for like five minutes to be seated. There are never any people in the front to attend to customers. We are seated and we order. I order the skillet with pancakes, and my family order the combo. The combo is scrambled eggs, hash browns, with a choice of french toast. The food comes pretty quick. The skillet has eggs, potatoes, cheese, and vegetables. The eggs are nice and fluffy. The potatoes are crispy and the vegetables are tasty. Everything is nicely seasoned and well made. My family members enjoyed their eggs and potatoes. However, they did not want the french toast because it was covered in syrup and whipped cream. They tried to send it back but got an attitude from the waitress. She argued that this is how it comes so you have to accept it. My family members simply wanted the french toast without any syrup on it. They got to send it back though, and got a new french toast without syrup. The total for all three of us was 30 dollars. We all had a filling breakfast for 10 dollars. I recommend this place for the food, but not for the service.

Only reason I gave 4 stars was cause the manager. Waitress was rude threw napkins. I understand National Pancake Day n they were free but it’s your job so don’t complain. The manager made up for her rudeness and everything was ok from then on out.

Our server(s) did a GREAT job of taking care of us. And the food was typical IHOP fare. At first glance it appeared clean but once we were able to take a closer look we discovered differently. When we were seated in our booth, I noticed an unusual smell that I couldn’t recognize. The smell remained through the meal. When I finished eating, I kind of leaned up against the partition between our booth and the booth next to us to stretch and relax a bit. BIGMISTAKE!!! Once I shifted position, that unusual smell became(and to quote Vincent Price from Micheal Jackson’s Thriller): «The foulest stench is in the air, the funk of forty thousand years» This smell after eating a large meal almost resulted in immediate projectile vomiting. I tried to pinpoint the source of the source of the odor and then I looked down and noticed the gap between my booth and the partition. and noticed a massive amount of stuff that has fallen in this. I wonder how long food has been decaying down there??? On second though I really don’t want to know. I wonder if they cleaned it up yet? I am NOT going back to find out.

I have been here twice recently. Other reviewers said it all. The service SUCKS. Today I took my two young boys out to brunch after church. It was busy, which is to be expected on a Sunday morning. We put our names in and waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated. Once we were seated, we became invisible. After about 10 minutes of no one coming to our table, I flagged down the woman who had seated us(hostess? manager?). She found another server from another section to help us. Because we had been waiting for so long, we were ready to order as soon as she came over. She promised to put our food order in right away and then come back with our drinks. I bet you can guess what happened next! Another 10 minutes goes by and NODRINKS! At this point I’m in serious need of caffeine! I flag down the hostess again & she finds our server to bring us our drinks. A few minutes later, our food comes out. I’m sorry, but the pancakes just aren’t as good as they used to be. Server tried to clear my plate that still had food on it – I told her no, I needed a box. Guess what never came? You guessed it – a box!!! Flag down the hostess for the THIRD time. I got my bill and nothing was comped for the lack of service. I got up to pay and the hostess was at the register. I asked her what she was going to do for me since I had so much trouble. Mind you – I was never rude, never angry, always polite to everyone even though we were being ignored. She says to me «I will take your coffee off.» Wow. A $ 2.19 discount. Good thing she took that off, cuz their coffee is HORRIBLE. At that point, it wasn’t worth arguing with her. Honestly, this became a comedy of errors and all I could do was laugh. But I can guarantee you one thing – I will NEVER be returning to this location. They have a VERYOBVIOUS management problem and it permeates the entire operation.

I have visited this IHOP3x(breakfast, lunch & dinner). Same experience everytime. Whether you dine there during their peak hours or slow hours, they always appear to be under staffed. The food takes too long to be served. And they are never able to serve my table of 7 at the same time. By the time most of us are done eating, the remaining entrees arrive. The food is OK at best… c’mon, we’re talking about IHOP. The service can make or break these types of restaurants. This particular restaurant needs major service improvement. Their Crestwood, LaGrange, and Cicero counterparts have great service. You would expect good service at this IHOP since it’s in Orland Park. Never again will I dine at this IHOP. 3 stikes they’re OUT!

I went here with my fiancé and her friend. I haven’t been here in a long time, so I figured it would be a nice change of atmosphere from my «Old Reliable» breakfast place, Café Miele. It took a while for the waitress to get to us, due to it being packed. But she was pretty cool. Not a really excited person that I like waitresses to be, but she was good. If my memory serves me correctly(and the voice of Chairman Kaga of the original«Iron Chef» echos in my head), I got the Cinnamon Roll pancake, which was pretty AWESOME! Fiancé had the Cheesecake Pancake We both also shared some turkey bacon, which she tried for the first time… and liked. I was going to give this place 3-stars…but I forgot what it would have done for me to give it a low score. It met and exceeded my expectations for a major breakfast restaurant chain… I guess that’s why so many people come to eat there…

Yes, I am going to rant a little here. I don’t care if I sound crass or crotchety, but sometimes things need to be addressed, and my experience here was less than stellar. I came in here with my father in between the breakfast and lunch crowds on a Saturday morning. There were maybe about 15 tables with customers, all clustered in one area while the rest of the seating lay dormant. Well, it would not have bothered me so much, if it were not for the woman with the three screaming children running rampant from their table to ours. I tried to ignore it, but couldn’t. While we were waiting for our food, I asked our server if we could switch to a location further away from the brats, errr, I mean kids. You would have thought I asked for blood. The waitress told us no, we could not move our seats, because we had already placed our order. I don’t understand that thinking. So instead of making a scene, we promptly got up, paid for our coffees we had, and left. Not worth the headache.
