Alfonso’s Sports Bar And Pizza

I’ve never actually sat inside to enjoy the actual experience of dining here, however i have ordered from Alfonso’s and wasn’t as satisfied as I expected.
I’m originally from Boston where calzones are enough to feed about 3 or more. I decided to buy a veggie roll which I figured would be similar. Though I ordered it 20 minutes in advance and took me maybe five extra minutes to get there, my food was still not ready at arrival. No big deal until I saw how extremely small the roll actually was, though it was $ 10 which is around how much I would pay up north.
Relying now on how delicious this pricey veggie roll was in hopes to be, I began to eat it and realized a funny taste; the roll was burnt at the bottom of it. I had to literally cut off the bottom to enjoy the rest of my veggie roll. Hopefully I just came on a bad night.

Enjoyed the food. Good burger, good chicken roll. Want to try the pizza, but found out they’re closing in about a week due to circumstances beyond they’re control. To bad.

Calzone was great; The dough was cooked perfectly which allowed it to be chewy enough to taste the dough flavor– it was delicious. My spouse had wings and a salad… both were fresh and yummy.
Service as always… friendly and accomodating.

Stopped in tonite for the first time. Great place! Seated quickly, service was quick, warm and friendly.
Ordered salad and pizza and both were served quickly and with a smile. The salad was fresh and had a nice variety of veggies, and the pizza was piping hot just as ordered. Good stuff and we will be back again!

Just spent a couple hours here watching Sunday football. Alicia was our server and she was amazing! Happy and quite attentive! This was our first time here after finding it on Unilocal.Quite energetic atmosphere. Looks like lots of specials on different nights and they always have happy hour. The pizza was great. I had a calzone & have some to take home. It was very tasty! Worth the wait. Love the drink specials. Even though this is quite far from our place, we will come back. And be sure to try the sweet potato fries w sugar! Yum. Also followed someone else’s recommendation for the wings (lots of meat on them!) & mixed two sauces of garlic parmesan & hot sauce. The owner came by our table and talked with us. Nice touch. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

First of all, Rich Alfonso is a great owner! They just put in a top of the line brick pizza oven that puts out the best pizza in town! Alfonso’s also has one of the best happy hours out there. I defiantly recommend that you take you family and friends to Alfonso’s to have a slice!

I had such a great time tonight! The drinks were good and the pizza was delicious, hot, and crispy as were the wings. Rich, the owner, ensured everything was to our liking and Alicia, our server, was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be a regular here. They also have a stage and live music. The Tina Nicole band was awesome!

Good pizza and wings and friendly staff.
The pizza was thin and crunchy just I like it, it had good flavor and it tasted really fresh.
The wings were also real good and crispy. I recommend the bourbon sauce with the wings, it was great!
Sorry to break the streak. This place would have gotten 4 stars but unfortunately the water they gave us tasted like black/​toilet water. It was repulsive. Luckily we had some bottles of water in the car.
though, the pizza was good here, IMO it is not the best in town but very good nonetheless.
So my recommendation is to avoid the water from here. Order a beer.

Best Pizza, Best Wings ever… food cooked the way you want it. Like it extra crispy? mix your sauces on your wings? the pizza slices extra crispy are to die for! their calzones are the best around and I cant wait for their new pasta dishes. YUMMMIEEE… the place is large, very nice area for the family, and if you want to just hang by the bar theres a whole other area just for that. The staff is always friendly and right on the ball! Want to have a party there? no problem, my office just had one there and the owner went out of this way to make us feel comfortable and the service was awesome! I totaly recommend Alfonso’s to everyone. LOVE IT !

Great pizza, a nice clean and friendly place to go and relax. They are still expanding and adding to menu. Has a happy hour and will have live bands soon. Dog friendly outside on the picnic tables. Cold beer will full bar. Good addition to Edgewood — Conway area.

Martin P has no idea what he is talking about! Alfonso’s is the best pizza in town! The food is always fresh and tasty. I have been going there for years when they were on Edgewater & now go to the new location on S Orange Ave. I have never been disappointed! The wings are amazing, try the hot & teriyaki mixed together & the calzones are great and just wait till they get their pastas in, YUM! So don’t let disgruntled business owners down the street (who are jealous because their food is not as good) detour you from visiting this place. They have full bar as well and HD TVs with sports playing. The servers are friendly and do not look like skanks! This is not hooters, I bring my 2 year old here and they are very nice to him! I would not take my 2 to hooters or any place that looked or acted like Hooters! The owners Alfonso and his partner are great guys and always there to talk to.
