Seriously just a terrible experience for me. Overpriced, although in reality, I wouldn’t go back for free. Our steaks were absolutely terrible. The t-bone tasted like ground beef and the prime rib was unlike any prime rib I’ve ever had. I found the atmosphere to be quite bizarre and just all-over-the-place. We’re locals but on the night we went, every restaurant on I-Drive was filled with conventioners. Every restaurant had 1 ½ hour waits yet this place was absolutely dead. Should’ve known.

Decent place. Huge pork chop with an apple glaze that was very tasty. The Mac and cheese really needed some work. They used mostly pepper jack cheese which doesn’t melt as easily as cheddar does so it dries out the pasta which also makes it get colder more quickly. I don’t mind the spicy/pepperiness of it but the amount ruined the pasta for me and I couldn’t finish it. The«smashed» potatoes were decent as well. The mango BBQ was pretty good too but the waitress said that this was the only BBQ sauce that they have. I think that the place would be smart to have a more savory sauce on hand too to give those that don’t care for a sweet sauce another option. Lastly, we were going to order a nice big burger but she said that the burgers wouldn’t be ready to serve for another an hour and a half. Say what?! The service was decent but then again we were one of only 5 tables there. The sweet tea was nice as well. I am glad that I went but wouldn’t return.

Wanted to go someplace that my family visiting from Jersey didn’t have by them. So we walked across the street to Cattlemans. Service was really great, super helpful with my gluten allergy. We had the porterhouse for 2 and my nephew had a burger. We had a side salad that was just ok, nothing great. The porter house was medium well, not well but tasty. The shrimp was good. The asparagus was amazing and HUGE. but the ginger rice is flavorless and a HUGE miss. Replace it guys! A little over prices, but so is everything in the area!

When I went to El Paso, we made time to go to Cattleman’s. It was the best steak I’d ever had. The. Best. Steak. Ever. So as I was driving down Int’l Drive lost, and I saw Cattleman’s, there was really no need to check the Unilocal reviews. This place was going to rock! Eh, not so much. My steak was grilled to perfection. But the texture was off. I couldn’t put my finger on it. I walked in with my daughter and was immediately given the evil eye for bringing a 4 year old. But after realizing what a darling she is, almost all of the tables around us complimented her on her manners… so awesome clientele. The host was also very attentive to our needs. Now, granted this was a slow period as they’d just opened, but I do like good customer service. There are a lot of options in this stretch of Int’l drive. I can’t say beat people down to get here, but it’s not a bad choice, either.

This place absolutely sucks. All I wanted after a long day at the theme parks(01−05−13) was a good steak and thought this place would deliver. Boy, was I wrong. Stake was so so and extremely overpriced for the cost. If you like onions on your steak, it’s going to cost you an additional $ 5(B_S). This place will nickel and dime you to def. I have no problem paying for a good meal, especially when it comes to a steak. However this place was ridiculous.

Nothing special, not worth the price. The service was subpar. We never got our bread until we asked for it after our meal arrived. Our stakes were warm, not hot. We’ll probably not come back.

The food was … OK. Sangria was good! For the price, I expected a much better meal. My fiancé got a steak that was somewhat dry. I got a burger that was so big, I had to cut it in half because the middle was dry. Service was wonderful. I think you can get more for your money with better taste.

This place looks *much* nicer then its food or service provided. Our waiter Omar was good but the food was just OK for a PRICEY meal($ 20+ per plate). My wife’s salmon portion was tiny for the price. We had to send it back and they gave us another larger piece. My son’s chicken fingers were over done and my daughter’s steak was not flavorful. 5 people(2 kids) over $ 100 without any drinks or appetizers. My steak and the half roasted chicken we order wasgood but again not at $ 38 and $ 20 respectively. I would not recommended this restaurant.

Agree with many of the other reviews on this place. I had just arrived into town and they were still open so I went for dinner. Service was average. But my food was greasy, under cooked, and expensive. Much better places to go on I-Drive instead of this place. Looks in this case are deceiving, as they have a nice bar area, outside sitting area, and curb appeal. They lure you in, but don’t deliver. NOTRECOMMENDED

If this is the place I think it is(and I’m pretty sure I have it right) this place was horrible! It was the first place my husband and I went for dinner on or trip and is the one we remember as ‘the rubbish place we ate at on the first night’. It took a long time for our server to come and take our order, We both ordered steaks(naturally) and while we were waiting for our food to arrive we noticed a lovely curry-like smell wafting from the kitchen. We got our server’s attention and asked what it was only to be told he couldn’t tell us. What??! My husband asked if it was because he didn’t know and he said that no he just wasn’t allowed to tell us. How rude! Our meals came and they were just ‘meh’ — A bit nondescript, right? Well that’s what the food was. My steak was undercooked and the fries were just luke warm. We also ordered dessert which was the best part of the meal but still not great. I could have got better from the local food store. Then the bill came and service charge had been added(think it was 17−18%) Now I don’t mind paying the average 20% tip for but the service we received was severely lacking and unhelpful. No check back was even made after we received our food so I couldn’t get my undercooked steak corrected. Well over priced food and bad service. My husband and I plan on moving to the area and this is one place we won’t be going back to.

What gives them the right to rip people off? Tourist trap! Waste of your money. The service is poor, cold food, slow, not attentive, and surely because gratuity is added to your bill regardless of your opinion. Our family is a total of 4, Mom, Dad, and the two kids, 8 and 10. It was a 18% Gratuity added to our overpriced, poorly served, sub par food. So needless to say the food was feeble(not good). The prices are high and portions are small. Our server did ask if we wanted broccoli, spinach, or squash with our meal, we picked from the options given. The server then asked if we wanted any toppings for our steak like onion, mushroom, or garlic sauce. I asked if that was extra and was informed yes, so I declined. After we received our bill it was an extra charge for the vegetables. Let me repeat, What gives them the right to rip people off? Tourist trap!

4 of us in recently for dinner and had great filet steak. Is apparently the only private owned restaurant in the area. Great food, service… everything just right. Thanks folks. Well done.

On a business trip(9÷11÷10) a co-worker and I decided to walk from the Hilton(Convention Center) to Cattleman’s. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated right away. After about 15 min of waiting the manager comes over and asked if we had been helped. Finally a waiter comes and takes our drink order(20 min into being seated). I get my ice tea and it tasted like it was moldy, so I politely asked for a sweet tea. After we got our drinks I saw a couple gets sat down in the corner booth across from us. They were served drinks and bread before the waiter took our order for our food. When we finally were brought our bread it was given to us on a plate instead of the normal basket. The waiters excuse was«I gave you more bread, so it didn’t fit in a basket». Finally we ordered our food, I ordered a Filet Mignon and my co worker orders the same. I usually order it medium rare and he orders his medium well. By the time we got our food(30 – 40 min later –no kidding), the couple that was seated after us had already finished their food and were on to desert. After waiting so long the waiter finally brings our food. He made a comment that I thought as extremely rude«All right guys just in time for Christmas». I looked at the piece of meat they brought to me and it was NOT a Filet Mignon(Filet do not have a straight cut)… It was a piece of low quality meat. I never send items back to the kitchen at any establishment. Once I took a couple of bits into this meat, I could tell it was old meat. When your Filet mignon taste like liver it’s bad/old meat! Being fed up with everything we ask for the manager, not to get a discount but to let him know of the situation. As soon as my co worker started to speak the manager tried to over talk him. My co worker was so mad he said the F work. Working with this guy for 6 years and I have never heard him uses that kind of language. We paid our bill and will never return. Worst Staff Worst Food Worst Prices Trust me don’t waste your hard earn money!

Came here for New Years Dinner 2010. Kinda on the pricey side. My hunny & i shared a porterhouse plate for 2ppl. It came with shrimp & a burnt corn on the cob. Don’t think i’ll ever be back here!

I spotted an ad for this place in one of the tourist brochures. The ad featured a 72 oz. steak challenge. I’ve been wanting to try something like this for a while and convinced my friends to come with me. When we got there I mentioned that I wanted to try the challenge to the hostess and she said they only do that once a year. When our waiter came I asked him about it and he said that they do it, but you need to call a day in advance. That made sense but they should have added«reservations required» in the ad. I suspect that it’s just a way to get suckahs like me into the restaurant because I didn’t really see anyone else there. There was a couple in the section we were seated in, but when we left the place was empty. As for the food… it was nothing to write home about. We started off with the calamari and the alligator. The alligator was good, but the calamari portion was tiny and the sauce was tasteless. Then I ordered the«Desperado» which included a salad, 10 oz. New York strip, lobster tail, and dessert. The steak was decent, but the lobster tail was dried out. Also, they didn’t provide butter or even ask me if I wanted it. I would not go back unless I was guaranteed a shot at the challenge(which would cost 80-something-bucks if you don’t finish). The server was congenial, the food was not bad, but the false advertising left a bad taste in my mouth.

When my wife and I arrived I asked the hostess for a table near the front, since the back of the restaurant appeared to be very crowded. To my surprise she completely ignored me and commenced to walk us to the back. She was definitely not pleased when I restated my request, but she gave in and sat us near the front anyway. I should have known not to stay and eat at a restaurant with such a rude hostess, but I remained since I didn’t have to deal with her anymore. That was a big mistake, and I hope that you Unilocal readers won’t make the same mistake. Once we were seated the waiter came over and greeted us with about as much warmth as the hostess showed us. Yet we still remained because we thought the food must be good since it was so expensive. This was a bad assumption! I ordered the steak tips, cooked medium. They arrived so rare and so salty that I could barely eat them. And the«steamed» broccoli that came with the meal were so raw that I would have been very surprised if they had gone anywhere near steam or even hot water. As if the rawness wasn’t bad enough, the broccoli was drenched with oil and salt. I would have told my waiter about all of this, had we seen him again after he dropped off our food. But since he didn’t bother to come around again I grabbed another waiter, got the bill, and then got the hell out of there. I’m sure that my almost nonexistent tip spoke for me, though I have a feeling that this waiter is used to receiving that sort of tip! If Unilocal had 0 stars, that’s what I would have rated this place. Hey Unilocal, how about adding a rating for«Enter at your own risk.»? «Eek, methinks not» just doesn’t seem to cut it for the really bad places like this one.

This is NOT A Complete Review — I was in town for a convention, so heading back to my hotel for the afternoon I stopped in about noon to pick up something for lunch to go. I ordered the soup in which they did not have… then two other appetizers in which they are not serving that day, so I settled for the beef gazpacho or beef tar tar. What I don’t understand is for a completely empty restaurant with one order of RAW beef… it took them ½ an hour to make. I understand that several of their staff were busy getting the place ready for the day, but there were several of them reading the paper and chatting around the bar, so they should have been on top of it… it was only when I got pist off that they rushed it. The beef tar tar was not from ground beef, which was a good sign. However, it was not very good. The meat was flavorless and too thick for tar tar. I was considering setting up a business dinner there that night but after the lack of service, I went somewhere else instead. Given that this review is based on a take out order of an appetizer, I am not impressed!

Nice steakhouse, that leads you to believe it’s fine dining… but it’s moderate. The food is good… I had grilled Chicken with a ‘Cattleman’s Sauce’ and pineapple. It was tasty… but after sitting on the plate for a little while the chicken did get a little dry. My husband ordered a prime rib, and said it was amazing, except for the hunk of fat in the middle(which wasn’t giant, but it was there and irritating none the less). They actually have a kids menu for those, like myself, traveling with little ones… but as I’ve said in other reviews, I cannot stand it when there is not a healthy offering of fruit or veggies for kids… my daughter ordered mac n cheese and got a side of fries with it… I just don’t like that. We didn’t have to wait for a table and our service was really good. If we’re in Orlando again… we’ll definitely consider it.
