This is my favorite coffee shop in town. The atmosphere is refreshing and peaceful. Lot’s of lovely things to look at with the feeling of innovation in the air. The staff is kind and the coffee is wonderful.

Espresso good, but a bit burnt(beans looked like they’re roasted past Vienna) Cortado is very nice, sweet no need for sugar. Don’t like the concept of donation based pay. Have fixed prices and a donation boxes… Anyway no biggie good coffee

It was my first visit to Credo today and it would’ve been a perfect visit if it wasn’t for my order being forgotten before I left. I went to order an iced brown latte before going home and it was right before a rush. He wrote down my order and told me he would get it out as soon as he could. I waited… and waited. A rush came in and I still waited. I went to remind him that my coffee was togo and started packing my things. He finally brought my coffee over and it was hot, but I wasn’t going to complain so I left anyways. On my way home I went to sip my drink and it was just a plain black coffee. That I paid 5 bucks for.

Definitely one of my favorite places in the entire city of Orlandy. Credo is so much more than a local coffee shop. Credo is a meeting place for a dynamic and wide community of dreamers and doers in the city beautiful. I love that I can go to Credo any day of the week and know that I’m going to run into a familiar face. Because of that, Credo is a space of encouragement and support. The coffee is ONPOINT and every barista knows their game well. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven all the way across town to have some Credo espresso in my cup. Tooo many times. As a nonprofit, they are doing good things for our city and so far beyond. It’s been incredible to see that reach grow deeper and wider. I’m honored to give my coffee money to such a moving cause and I’m excited to continue to be a part of Credo’s continuing efforts. Support local!!!

Best coffee in Orlando. Very smooth and not bitter at all! Fast and friendly service. The donation style payment was slightly awkward but the barista made it less uncomfortable! He was also very helpful and knowledgable with coffee suggestions. Adorable décor and comfy seating.

Credo is a perfect place to sip on a great cup of joe and get stuff done. The atmosphere is relaxing yet stimulating. There are plenty of tables and comfy chairs to claim. The music playlist is just right if you forget your headphones like I did. With their pay-what-you-want system, you never feel constrained to one cup of coffee, but you can keep going back for more and more. I am definitely a fan. Credo is also available to rent on evenings when they are closed. My church rents it out once a month and it’s a great meeting place!

Downtown Credo is possibly one of my very favorite places in all of Orlando!:) Everything from the ambience of the place, the coffee, the pastry/baked goods that vary each week, the mission, the baristas, and donation-based giving just makes this coffee shop stand out from the rest. Every time I’ve come, the baristas are not just super friendly and helpful, but seem to really enjoy what they do. The ambience of the place is very cozy(hipster, if you will)-conducive to studying or to sit and talk with a friend over some coffee. The coffee and the variety of baked goods they offer are always delicious and I definitely admire and appreciate their donations-based payment system! Overall, Credo is an awesome place and I always enjoy my time here every time I visit!

5 Stars, not because it’s perfect(no coffee shop is), but because the«essentials» are all there for me, in spades… * friendly, personable staff * relaxed, friendly atmosphere; great for working/studying or having a chat w/a friend * I’ve been able to find a parking spot right off the street every time I’ve gone * the coffee is good * some cushy chairs and couches * plenty of outlets for phones, computers * free wifi * donation-based I travel out of my way to come to this shop and haven’t been disappointed yet!

A very cute and different kind of place… Read on and I will explain. Architecture and Interior The best way to describe the place is Hipster Hippy with a large splash of non-profit purpose! It is obvious that young people love this hangout! Places to sit, study, socialize, and just exist are all over the location. The backroom is more modern than the front of the shop. «No Menu Up On The Wall» Don’t be freaked out by it… when you get the counter their is a small menu on a clipboard. It seems to be part of their«environment» that they are trying to create. Barista is extremely social and takes their time with each person giving them the attention deserved. No one is in a rush and the line waits patiently for the next person to be served their selection. Customer Service Each customer if afforded time with the Barista. Until you are completely satisfied… The full attention stays on you even while your drink is being prepared. There is no rush to get to the next person. Payments(This is a non-profit) You don’t pay for coffee… You give a suggested donation. You can give as much or as little as you like. Interesting concept… people would just walkup and swipe their card on a public iPad with Square and pay. Coffee It might be an interesting concept however the coffee is GREAT! Vanilla Latte is made from their own homemade vanilla and the Chai Latte is brewed right in front of you. Why 4 stars then? 1. Everytime that the barista picked up the milk from the frig, the bottom of the milk was encrusted with coffee grounds. I couldn’t get over it. Cleanliness is really important to me and I was not convinced 100% that the place placed a high value on it. 2. Bathrooms need some work. What a great place… after missing my hometown coffee shop for 8 days, it was nice to come a local coffee roaster and enjoy a real cup of joe! Thanks Downtown Credo!

It was my first time here and I was incredibly impressed. Pulling up to credo, I expected a tiny coffee shop with no parking. Boy was I in for a surprise. I was amazed at how beautiful the décor was and how open the space was. There were so many places to sit and the natural lighting was perfect. The staff was really nice and helpful. The shop is not for profit so your drinks are delivered to you and you are asked to close out before you leave. I thought this was a really cool concept. It contributed to the laid back feel of the shop. I got a Pineapple Bliss Tea and my friend got a Café con Leche. We were both very satisfied with our choices. The pineapple tea was so cold and refreshing. It was perfect for a hot Florida day. My friend’s Café con Leche was sweetened perfectly and had a robust nutty flavor. The prices were very good for the quality. My tea was priced at $ 3-$ 5 and her café con leche was $ 4-$ 6. You name your price. We studied at credo for quite some time. The coffee shop had a few people when we came at noon, but by 2PM the place was packed. If you need to concentrate when you study, make sure to bring headphones because the place gets super loud. That was actually the only downside to credo. Whether you are coming to study or just catching up with a friend, credo is the perfect little gem.

One of my favorite coffee shops in town. The pay-what-you-want scheme may be a little odd at first, but I’ve come to really like it. Not because I’m a cheap bastard, but because it’s just simpler(no loose change needed), and I always end up being a little more generous anyway. It’s kind of weird, since i balk at paying $ 3 or $ 4 for iced coffee elsewhere, but don’t mind dropping a $ 5 at Downtown Credo. Or $ 1 if that’s all I have, but that’s rare. The coffee is very tasty, and the space is well laid out. There are plenty of comfortable couches, as well as a lot of workspace for those who are writing the next great American novel.

This place is filled with hipsters in their skinny jeans and waxed mustaches. Despite that, I love this place. There is plenty of good seating and room to spread out a few papers, not to mention some comfy chairs if you just want to chill with a good book. The baked good are fresh made and the drinks are awesome.

What an awesome coffee shop with a really unique mission and delicious coffee! Downtown Credo is one of the top coffee spots in Orlando and I had heard really good things about it through some friends. I drove in to get a flat white and was helped promptly by a friendly barista who explained to me the history of flat whites and even told me about being a barista in Australia. Cool! The barista also told me the coffee is donation-based, which means you pay whatever price you think is fair for your coffee. I paid what I would have regularly paid for my coffee and felt good about it. The coffee was delicious. It didn’t taste too burnt which sometimes happens at specialty coffee shops. The service was super quick too. The décor of this place is adorable and this is definitely a spot where you could come and do work in peace and quiet.

Credo will always hold a special place in my heart, not only because it’s a few blocks from my home, but I remember it’s humble beginnings when it first opened. It was just the beginning idea of a donation based coffee shop with literally no frills. I’ve watched it grow into a hot spot to caff up, and while the lines have grown longer and it’s popularity has increased dramatically it’s still my neighborhood spot for good conversation, working, and even hosting parties. Barista Knowledge — All of them seem skilled at their main function, to make what drinks are on the menu, but only a few I have found will go the extra mile to really customize a drink just for you. Jordan is one of my favorite Barista’s. He had such a warm and welcoming personality. Space — Plenty of seating, tables couches and window bar seating. The great thing about this adorable space is you can rent it for events based on suggested donations. They also have a singer/songwriter showcase on the 1st Monday of each month. I’ve actually seen some pretty talented people croon as the locals sip coffee. There is also a brand new location within Florida Hospital with a great upstairs space, but this location is only open Mon-Fri. Friendliness — Being my main coffee filling station I’m in Credo at least once a week. For the most part their baristas are all pleasant. There is normally only one person working, so if you go at a peak time expect to wait for your brew.

Based on the wonderful reputation that Credo has established, I was bound to try this place. The wonderful concept of Credo is that it is a non-profit coffee shop, meaning you pay for the price you think you should donate. At first I am like wow that’s a pretty unique idea, but do not fret on the menu they have a suggested donation price for the coffee and their baked goods. The establishment itself is just too adorable, if I lived closer I would live in this place. The place is beautifully decorated and has a rustic modern atmosphere, quirky vibe going on. You have the option of sitting at a table or a couch. I really like the fact that there are enough outlets, so this is definitely a good place to study or work if need be. The one thing that does stick out in my mind is the sense of community that this place represents, it’s more than just a coffee shop it’s about having a genuine connection with people and supporting your community. It is nice to know that places like this exists. Making a difference and at the same time providing great coffee that sounds like a winning combination to me. By the way I ordered the spectacular Café Con Leche… incredibly delicious. This was definitely a great way to start off my Saturday Morning or any morning for that matter. Oh and definitely show the people who work here some love by tipping because they work hard and provide great service. If I could give one word to describe this place. LOVE!

Quirky«grandma» arts and crafts, great coffee, and a lovely minimalist interior. Yes please. My Unilocal friends Cecille and Pam suggested this place for an after workout coffee, what a great suggestion. I’ve had this place bookmarked on Unilocal for months, but never knew it was right in downtown College Park. I didn’t realize this is a nonprofit coffee shop, love this idea. This is a really cool coffee shop concept with a suggested cost range for drinks and baked goods. Pay what you like(within range) and leave something left over in the tip jar. The lady behind the counter had lovely ocean wave tattoos and she was willing to whip up a nice decaf Americano. I can’t handle too much caffeine, so I appreciate that this coffee shop was so accommodating. My friend Pam tried the apple sour cream cake and it was really nice, lightly sweet and filling. Great for breakfast. This place has«hang out» written all over it. Very laid back, quiet, and lots to look at on the walls. A great place to zone out. Hope to come here again soon for a chill session.

I FINALLY got to check this place out and get my coffee fix. I will admit, I am one that can go into a «coffee rage» if I do not get adequate caffeine. This shop was just a few doors off Edgewater, so I was able to walk over after lunch. For starters, the atmosphere is great! We walked in and decided we wanted to stay and hang out instead of taking our drinks to go, since it was so inviting. There are two rooms, with lots of seating and table options. Great music was playing too, but it wasn’t too loud. There were a couple groups of people chatting, and even a couple of tables of people who appeared to be studying. Not too crowded, but still a good amount of folks. We each ordered an iced coffee, which was served black and in a mason jar. There is a separate station with creamers and sweeteners, so you can customize your drink to your liking(which is great, as I get picky about my drink being too sweet). The barista explained to us that they are a non-profit business, and they buy their beans direct from the farmers. There are suggested prices on the menu, but you give what you are able to, and they pay the farmers directly. On this day the wifi was down, so they were unable to take cards. The barista offered us the drinks even if we didn’t have cash, and said we could just pay next time. We did have the cash, but I do admire that they utilize the honor system. Plus, who wants to rip off farmers anyway? As for the coffee… WOW! I love me some cold drip, and this did not disappoint. The flavor was rich and I had a nice jolt all day. I cannot wait to go back and try more. There were a couple pastries available, but since we had just come from lunch we skipped them this time around. But not to worry, we will be back!

Slowly clearing those bookmarks off my Unilocal list in 2014! This is a place that I’ve wanted to try for what seems like forever and now I keep scratching my head wondering why. Fellow Elite Unilocaler Pam H. and I had just finished a grueling 2 hour workout down the street and decided to grab lunch in the area. On the way back to our cars, we spotted Downtown Credo and decided an iced coffee was in order. Walked in and just loved the laid back vibe. We were probably a little out of place in our workout clothing but who cares. The girl at the counter was very friendly. We asked if they took credit cards but she said wifi was down… and that not to worry about, we could pay later. Wait, WHATT?! Anyways I ended up having more cash than I thought and we paid for both but I was doubting if I should put more in. Thanks Andi P for making me feel at ease after reading your review! Anyways, this coffee house is a nonprofit so whatever you can pay is appreciated. The girl told us a little about the concept– that they are essentially paying the coffee growers directly. I was intrigued and even moreso now. And they even offer coffee subscriptions. The vibe is totally hipster, yes, with quirky art on the wall. There are more than enough tables for people to find space to work at. The music playing was at a nice volume but the silence between songs was obvious and I found that maybe I should keep my voice down so that the whole coffeehouse doesn’t hear our conversation! :) The iced coffee was served in cute mason jars and we were able to add our own cream and sugar at the little station next to the counter. I think this was probably one of the best iced coffees I’ve had. Yes, even better than Starbucks(GASP). Afterwards, we just returned the jars to the counter. I enjoyed our visit and I’m really excited that they’re opening a spot Downtown !

What a cool concept! Credo is a non-profit coffee shop, with hand-crafted espressos, coffees and teas at suggested prices. They accept credit cards, have plenty of seating/working space… power outlets and free wifi! The pumpkin spice cake was devoured by my eyes, mouth and stomach too quickly too remember… but it must have been amazing. ;-) the caramel macchiato was yummy too. Nice and bold. Total trendy hipster spot that feels as though it’s been here for decades. I love it and want to see more of these.
