My husband I visited Fish Bones tonight for our last dinner during our honeymoon, expecting great seafood based on high reviews. It started out great with valet parking and a kind hostess, but went downhill quickly. Half the king crab legs in my portion of 4 were mushy and very fishy in taste and my husband’s pasta was overcooked, with a chewy, mushy texture. Our waiter came by once at the beginning of our visit to deliver bread, but we didn’t see him the rest of the evening, leaving our cups all but empty throughout the night until another waiter passed by that we asked. The manager spoke with the table next to us, but didn’t bother to stop at our table to ask about our meal. We were the only other table in the area. For the price, I’d highly recommend Boston Lobster Feast over Fish Bones. You can spend that $ 120 for two to the fullest on a buffet of steak, whole lobster, crab legs, and dessert there. Overall, Fish Bones was a very mediocre, if not bad experience and the price was way too much for worse food than a Red Lobster chain.

Over priced. Slow service. Music not conducive to relaxing dining. After two satisfactory dinners over past few years this experience was not good. Will not go back

My spouse and I were able to enjoy this wonderful restaurant this past Saturday while on a spur of the moment Disney trip. The restaurant was vet welcoming. Complementary valet parking, clean and friendly. They even have on display the fresh fish and meat cuts. I ordered the shrimp and scallops scampi with blue lump crab. It was delicious! The scallops were nicely cooked and tender. The crab tasted fresh. My spouse had the main lobster which came out very rubbery and was difficult to enjoy. Our fantastic server quickly addressed the issue as soon as she seen our sad faces. The manager was very pleasant and quickly apologized for the inconvenience. A new lobster entrée was quickly made to perfection and the manager personally brought it out for display and cut. This was a great example of how to still impress guest even when slight problems occur. We will definitely return at our next visit. Ps!.. I also had the garlic oysters!!!

We went for dinner last night here and all I can say is good service but the food is not as good for the price they ask for it. Too expensive for the size and quality of the food

Not as good as they think they are. For a much better experience go across the street to Cooper’s Hawk.

Great service! If you go ask for ‘Fluffy’ to be your waiter! He was so knowledgeable, funny, polite ect. He gave great suggestions as well! The food was superb! Hot, fresh, & delicious! One of the best steaks I have had in my life and the lobster tail was delicious and huge(looked at pic I posted of the 20+ oz lobster tail)! Great place!

We came here while in town on vacation on the recommendation of the valet at the restaurant across the street. I had the mahi and my husband had the scampi combo. We were both very disappointed. My fish was overcooked and rubbery. My husband said his was just OK. We’re from Colorado and had fairly high expectations for good seafood being so close to the ocean. We have honestly had much better seafood in Colorado. For the price, the meal was very disappointing. I will say we had great service so that was one saving grace but we won’t be returning.

The only thing that left the star off of this rating was the lack of attentive service. Let’s start with the good though… The food! We started with crabcakes and gator bites, they were both very good. The gator bites especially with the horseradish aioli sauce almost reminded me of a Midwestern fried gizzard. For main courses my party had everything from jumbo fried shrimp to lamb chops and finally swordfish. We all cleaned our plates. The mash potatoes were a wonderful side and the salad was a great way to kick off the main dish. The salad was fresh lettuce, tomato, and crumbled blue cheese vinaigrette dressing. There was also nice selection of drinks. We enjoyed some local beers as well the good old fashion California Sierra Nevada. Regarding the service, we had two waiters they were both very nice however they were clearly way too busy. It took over five minutes once we set down to even get a glass of ice water, then another trip later from the waiter to ask us our first drink. We probably waited 10 minutes before we had our first drink let alone the time lapse between when we ordered appetizers and our meal. If the goal is to keep us at the restaurant for over two hours they succeeded. The food made up for the slow service. I hope to go back one more time before I leave Orlando. It’s a very nice restaurant inside as well. It’s what I would expect in Florida… Classy, with a touch of fishing poles, fish Decour, and many wine bottles.

Very nice restaurant. A little bit pricey but really worth to pay for it. Quality of the food is awesome and the service is really good. I had an «All-you-can-eat shrimp» and it comes in a full plate of 12 jumbo shrimps, then they bring you in portions of 4, cooked to order, which is great, fresh and tasty. My wife had the black grouper which she said was the best fish she had in the US. We are from Brazil and food(specially seafood) here in the US is not as good as in our country, so, we really can say it is good :). In these two entrees + drinks and a key lime pie we spent $ 75 without tip. It is a little pricey but the quality is awesome. I think other people who wrote bad reviews about this place had a bad experience and should definitely try again.

Ordered mixed grill, food was fresh but lil cold most probably sitting in kitchen for few before got served. Worst bar tender Elizabeth took my order and upon mentioning that my food is cold, she took it back to warmer and brought it back instead of changing it. Chris brown the manager told me to come back next day and will take care of me but apparently he wasn’t present. I have heard really good things about them, so will give them another chance whether their manager takes are of me or not.

Where to start? Reservation was 7:30 and we were sat at 8:30. Greeted 15 minutes later with appetizers to come 45 minutes later without silverware. Half hour after appetizers we got silverware. Dinner came around 10:30. My wife’s baked fish was raw, prime rib was decent, chicken and shrimp dish was cold. Service was bad, by the time we received our check total restaurant time was 4 hours, a manager never checked on us until we expressed the frustration with the raw fish, they were taking walk ins while we were waiting for our table. Bottom line is that once it started going downhill it just kept going. Sad thing is the Fish bones in Lake Mary was one of the best experiences I have had so we tried this location. If you want good fishbones go to Lake Mary. Two thumbs down

I visited this restaurant with family in September to celebrate my dad’s birthday. The manager, Andy, was so kind and took great care of us that day and it was very appreciated! Our servers, Christina and Beau, also took fantastic care of our table. They always kept our water glasses filled and were constantly checking on the table to make sure everything was to our liking or to ask if we needed anything. They were full of suggestions on what to order, which was appreciated as the menu is vast. We all ended up getting the fried shrimp, which was fresh and delicious with a light breading. Our table did get various side dishes and I got the mashed potatoes, which I loved. I tried the grilled zucchini someone else had gotten and would definitely get that next time. I like my food a little bit spicy and the servers brought out a spicy cajun dipping sauce for my shrimp after I told them that. The sauce was excellent and added the extra kick I was looking for. Definitely a great experience!

In Orlando, FL September 21 – 24, 2015 for work… we stopped here twice. Fun, busy place(when we were here) and we just showed up out of the blue as a crowd, all(about) 12 of us… Servers were fun and engaging with excellent timing. Food was great. I loved the grouper with pumpkin(spahgetti)… I haven’t had grouper since 2006 in the BVI. It was very good. Day before it was a late lunch and I tried their unique take on Chicken Teriyaki which was(a bit out of the norm) tasty and I really liked it.

This was my first time at this location. We were looking for a happy hour spot before Halloween horror nights and this was a great choice. Our server Carlos gave fantastic service, was knowledgeable, and very helpful and informative. We told him that we are use to the lake Mary location and he told us the differences in the menu and why they were lacking so much raw sushi(they have it brought in from moon fish for the moment). We were initially disappointed because there was no raw sushi but the rest of the menu more than made up for it. Happy hour is a must time to go! .50 raw oysters were SO good! $ 1 baked oysters were good as well but I like it raw Drink menu is on point $ 3 drafts, $ 4 martinis, etc. lots of good choices– I went with the orange blossom made in Orlando. Loved it :) Sliders were delicious The only roll on the menu is cooked but a must try. Great flavor! The fish dip was delicious! Will be back for that. Tuna tower thing– sorry I don’t remember the name but the flavor was great.(Mother in law basically took it down herself) The steak dish over the baked potatoes were tasty I’m not sure what the white sauce was over it?(cheese, mayo, etc. Not sure it didn’t have a particular flavor I could identify) Ps deserts are delicious, chocolate cake is super chocolatey(as it should be) definitely a shareable size for 2+ people and the NY cheesecake was very good as well. I like that the expression comes with a cute little sugar stick. It’s all about the details. I need to stop by for dinner one night. But I foresee myself here for happy hour again very soon.

Bad service! I went here for my birthday, I made reservations via opentable and stated in the notes it was for my birthday. My family had to tell the host and hostess and BOTH of our waiters that it was my birthday SEVERALTIMES. After the FOURTH reminder the waiter plopped down some ice cream in front of me. They didn’t say happy birthday or anything. Both of the waiters had bad attitudes and didn’t care. I brought this issue up to the manager who apologized and took $ 25 off of our bill. After the complaint, the waiters REALLY got an attitude. Also, my family had an issue with them sitting us all the way in the back even though there were plenty of seats in the front that could accommodate us. We noticed that everyone that they brought to the back was black(and so was my family). My family and I enjoyed the food but due to the service, we will not come here again.

Don’t let the $$$ rating turn you away from Fish Bones. Every day at 4:30 they have a happy hour with an incredibly inexpensive menu! Items on the menu average $ 3. Various sliders, gator bites, Dang Bang shrimp– they even have grilled oysters for $ 1 each. You don’t have to be rich to eat well here, just early. You won’t be disappointed in the regular menu, as you do get your money’s worth! The lamb chops are awesome, as are the pork chops. They also serve a tasty cheese bread. It’s not quite as good as the bread at the Lake Mary location, but still great. The salad that comes with entrees is surprisingly good. They only have one type of dressing, but that’s all they need. My wife enjoyed her salad with just a little salt and lemon. I thought the touristy location would mean lesser quality. I was wrong. I’m really looking forward to coming back!
