For the last five years I have traveled to Orlando for business between Christmas Day and New Years Eve, and occasionally a few other times in between; and, I always plan at least two evening meals at Spencer’s! Five years ago was the first time, and I was served by Scott — what a treat to have a knowledgeable and distinguished person to guide you through the experience. The next year, the service was provided by Stacy, who happens to be Scott’s wife. This is a place where the food is unsurpassed by any other, steaks as tender as they come, wonderful salads, and tremendously good sides, not to mention the bread. Add to the food the excellent service, and you have a winning combination that is unbeaten anywhere I have ever eaten. I love a Filet cooked light medium rare, and they never miss. I cannot stress the service experience of Scott and Stacy; they are equally the best I have ever experienced. These two«guide» you through the most satisfying eating experience you will ever know in a steakhouse. A work colleague told me the other day, «You seem to know the the great steak houses everywhere we go, which is your favorite?» Simple answer, «Spencer’s in Orlando.» I have had great service in my favorite steakhouses, the real quality of the meal plays a role many do not appreciate. Again, by far, Scott and Stacy walk far to the front in that competition. Do not go here for a fast meal, but don’t go to any quality steakhouse for a «quicky». Ask for Scott or Stacy, let them be the guide, and enjoy the moment — even now I am looking forward to my next opportunity, which is months away.

We went here for New Years Eve. Reservations were made several weeks in advance. Two days before new years eve we were called and told it was a an 8 course fixed menu $ 100 per person This late on new years eve it would be difficult to change plans so we went. BIGMISTAKE! ! Each course was very small and I can’t even tell you what anything was except we could not eat any of it !!! No steak to be found and we could not order off the menu!! For 4 people our bill was $ 600. One glass of a small glass of wine was $ 28. Waiter was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. This was worse experience ever.

I went to this steak house connected to the Hilton Orlando when I was in town for work. Overall, it is a very solid steak house with a very accommodating staff. I ordered a 22 oz bone-in ribeye, which was very pretty to look at and tasted pretty good too. It’s not up there with the best ribeye steaks that I have had, but it was still a tasty piece of meat. Based on my experience with the ribeye, I would say that the steaks at Spencer’s are high quality and quite good. Where I thought they could do a little better was the sides. I was with a large group, and we all ordered quite a few sides to share, and I didn’t really care for any of them too much. My salad was a little boring, and I didn’t finish it. That being said, our server was great, and she helped us switch tables when we unexpectedly had another co-worker join us for dinner, despite the restaurant being very full.

I’m not really a big red meat eater but I have to say this was worth breaking my red meat fast. Starting with a warm kale salad. Delicious. Next I tried the chef special beef Wellington. It has to be the best cow I have eaten in 10 years. Others in our party had petit fillet, trout and elk. These were prepared to perfection. Great wine list and attentive service. Many thanks to our server Angelo who did a superb job in guiding us through our meal. Who knew that one could find such a great steak at the Hilton in Orlando. Many thanks for a wonderful meal.

I had a corporate event here and overall this was pretty darn good. The filet(only beef choice we had) was very tender and flavorful. Really epic. The corn chowder was good, not the best but good. The wedge was sort of odd and I would only give that a 2. Overall you cannot go wrong as long as budget is not your concern and you are just after a typical very expensive but very good steak house that is right in the Hilton. Great wine list too with some reasonable bottle prices and some really excellent bottles if price isn’t a concern.

Excellent filet med rare was one of the most amazing filets I’ve ever eaten. Spiced and cooked to perfection! The wine list is superb if you are in Orlando at the Hilton Orlando it is such a treat. My compliments to the chef and wait staff for their kindness. We all 4 had a wonderful night…

In town for a conference and tried to be seated for a party of 3 yet told we could not be accommodated. Some kind of private party maybe. Even called ahead to make sure they were open and what the dress code was if any. Not advised at all that we couldn’t get in. If you are rented out because of a private party at least put up a sign or something so people stop coming in. Front desk girls did not handle this well. If I am in town again won’t try to be back. Probably stellar food but…

The food is varied and different, the wine list is great, but the service is outstanding. I went to this restaurant 3 times while on business. They staff is warm and gracious and they took care of our large parties with ease. Nick and Scott are super-stars and they remembered us by name on the second visit. I would go back here again and again.

I was expecting a solid meal but given that Spencer’s is in a hotel, my expectations were somewhat lower… after last night’s dining experience, they shouldn’t have been. We were a group of 14 and the restaurant had placed us in the private dining room towards the back of the restaurant. We had two fantastic servers in there with us and the service was impeccable. Wine and water glasses were never empty, every request was attended to and nothing was forgotten. They started us with an amuse bouche which I didn’t love… it was a piece of cold steak on a spoon with a roasted and whipped cauliflower purée. The cold steak was a bit off putting but the cauliflower was great. Now on to what I actually ordered… Again, being from NYC and having dined in some of the best steakhouses in the country, I was floored. I started off the night with a warm kale salad that was bursting with flavor and texture. Sunflower seeds, pickled onions, a few croutons and a stellar vinaigrette. And really nice surprise was that it was served warm.
I had the filet and it was seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare. In terms of sides, the grits were my favorite. Cooked perfectly and just a nice addition to the menu. The mac and cheese rivaled the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t try the baked potato but it was definitely the largest one I’ve ever seen and it’s «owner» thoroughly enjoyed it. We passed on the desserts as we were way too full to put anything else in our stomachs! Again, this was a fabulous evening and they couldn’t have orchestrated it any better. Definitely looking forward to my next visit when I’m back in town.

This place is just nothing to write home about. Nothing was phenomenal except the service!

I would just like to start by saying that the service was good and that’s all. I ordered the Ribeye and my first one came out extremely tough, so I sent it back. They gave me a second one that was just plain tough. The Mac and cheese was nothing to write home about and the creamed spinach was boring. We paid 270 for two adults and two kids. Would have done better at Outback! This is not a real steakhouse! Don’t waste your time! Oh! I ordered cheese cake because I was still hungry! It was the worst cheese cake that I have ever had!!!

Stuck inside the Hilton Orlando in rainy, 46-degree weather, awaiting the start of a big work conference kicking off the next day, my colleague and I decided to have a convenient dinner at Spencer’s. I’m a steakitarian and she’s a veggivore, and luckily Spencer’s was able to accommodate both of our needs. I started with what I believe was called the Spencer’s Manhattan. Something about cherry bitters if I recall correctly. Unfortunately I didn’t specify«up,» and it came on the rocks.(But I survived.) I wasn’t starving to death so I went for the relatively modest 8 oz. filet, medium rare, au poivre. It arrived hot, and cooked a little closer to medium than I normally like. The au poivre sauce was served on the side, which really goes against how you do a proper steak au poivre. But again, I survived. It was nice that the manager walked around asking to see if everyone’s steaks were cooked according to order. I chose not to disappoint her and gave a kind nod when she came by. My colleague ordered the baby iceberg salad(sans bacon), creamed spinach, and the mac & cheese(sans bacon). Note: Two of the saddest words in the world are«sans bacon» when used together. I tried both the spinach and the mac & cheese. They were fine. Nothing exceptional, but good nonetheless. We tried one of their desserts, but it was so unmemorable that, well, I can’t even remember what we ordered. Spencer’s is pretty much your standard issue overpriced steakhouse. You know exactly what you’re going to get if you come here. As I was on a business, my company was kind enough to pick up the tab. But I don’t know that I would come back and spend my own money here.

This week we chose Spencer’s for Magical Dining. The Hilton on International Drive is a very nice property and they provide good service. We chose the Magical Dining menu and the selection was diverse. They start you off with one piece of bread for each person which I am not a fan of. A basket of bread would be more appropriate in case you want more than one piece. We started with a bottle of Chianti after they offered to give us $ 20.00 off any bottle on their wine list, it was a nice touch. My wife started with the Lobster Bisque and she mentioned it was a bit spicy which from my experiences is rare. Her bisque came with Bacon so I’m sure it went down well. I chose the Caesar and I wish it would’ve had more dressing. The homemade dressing was definitely missing and I didn’t get the real taste I was looking for . We both chose to have the Filet Mignon and they were cooked just the way we like it, medium rare. We ordered a Filet for my 3 year old son after the server informed us that they had a steak for children that was not listed on the menu. I know it had to be good because my son ate the whole thing with no fight. The mashed potatoes were creamy and they were seasoned perfectly along with the grilled asparagus. I found it strange that there wasn’t salt on the table but I was surprised to find the food salty to my liking. If you prefer less salt, you will definitely have to tell them when you order. The magical dining dessert selection was limited to one choice because the rest were sold out according to the server. We had a chocolate mousse cake with mango sauce which was a very satisfying ending. I was tempted to lick the plate until my wife reminded me we were in a nice establishment. Service was good but if you’re in a rush, you may be late at your next destination. Our dinner took about 2 ½ hours but I didn’t mind because we were in no rush. Our server was professional and between him and the manager, they kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything. I looked over the regular menu and the prices are on the high end comparable to Morton’s, Ruth’s Chris, etc. I want to go back and try their other cuts of meat. I saw a few plates walk by that looked very enticing and gave off a head turning aroma, especially the 45oz Rib Eye with Crab on top. I am also curious to try their US bred Wagyu beef and their Chocolate Soufflé.
