Wow, Thursday’s just might be my new favorite day of the week. I can have Swedish food and amazing coffee in the same vicinity with SwedeDish & Gratitude Coffee. Five stars for out of this world good Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes. You have to order the Lief!!! It’s Unbelief-able — get it? Sorry, I had to. Seriously though, I will be craving this all the time! The owners of both food trucks are really sweet, wonderful ladies and I highly recommend you checking them both out and supporting what they do because they do it extremely well!

Holy moly, this place had my mouth watering. Like literally. And this is not a saying I use often. I had the RagnaRok and the Loki, which was a special. Both were so, so good! The burger was cooked to perfection and their homemade sauce and fried onions were so great, and I’m not even a big fried-onion girl. I could have gone for a second, honestly. The Loki was a wrap with meatballs, mashed potatoes, and a homemade beet salad. Again, not a beet salad girl, but it was so amazing! The combo of the different ingredients were also surprisingly good. This has instantly become one of my favorite food trucks in Orlando.

I got my daughter(1 ½ yr old) the meatballs on a stick over bacon Mac and cheese… And secretly hoped she wouldn’t like it so I could eat it myself. Holy cow it is sooo good! Admittedly, the only Swedish meatballs I remember having were from Ikea… But, these were better :-)

Why 5 stars? Because the«Balder» is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. — — — This was one of the things where you want to keep eating it, but you’re depressed that you’ll soon no longer have it. Throw calories or your budget out the window — whatever it costs and however much weight you gain, it’s completely worth it. I was so excited to check out the Orlando takeover at Generation Food Court, and when I saw Swede Dish, my search for lunch quickly ended. I heavily debated between the Ragnarok, and the Balder, until learning that the Balder was just the Ragnarok + crab meat. Well, who doesn’t love crab meat? The Balder it is! And, my God, it was amazing. The sauce. The crunchiness. The bun. The quality of the freaking patty. On a 1 – 5 scale, it was a 10. SwedeDISH, please come to Tampa every day.

Stopped by here during Tasty Tuesdays and ordered the Swedish meatballs and a burger(I forgot the name). The meatballs were so perfect and succulent. And my boyfriend couldn’t stop talking about the burger. He got it plain with just the patty and the bun because he’s a plain Jane and still couldn’t stop talking about it. That goes to show you how much flavor the patty has. My friends got the Thor and they both loved it. Please come to Windermere more often for us!

Very time I order from this food truck I am impressed every time! The last time I ordered food from SwedeDish I got the THOR, which for all of you hotdog lovers out there you are going to LOVE the Thor and even if you are not a big fan of hotdogs you are still going to love it! Guaranteed! I also would recommend getting the RAGNAROK burger. It is to die for! Its kinda hard to explain the taste and experience of a Ragnarok but pure AWESOME! Cannot wait for the SwedeDish to be back at the Food Bazaar event in Casselberry!

Thor is what happens when Europeans watch scrambled American cable and make what they think we like… And totally nail it. It’s hard to try everything on the menu when you hit pay dirt on your first try but I also tried the Ragnarok and was not disappointed.

My burger search is over. Done. Färdig. Would I have known it would come at the hands of a Swedish food truck? No, but I could not be more ecstatic. The RAGNARöK Burger is aptly named; as it is the end all, be all of every burger I have ever known. From its perfectly seasoned, 1.5 inch thick beef patty to it’s secret Swedish sauce — it leaves no room for complaint. I’m practically salivating at the thought of it. Let’s dissect the burger from top to bottom: The Bun: Perfectly toasted — soft on the inside, but satisfyingly crunchy when you bite in. A little crumbly, but holds it shape well against the juices of the burger. The Beef: Seasoned with Swedish spices and made with lean ground beef, this hunk of meat is unbelievably juicy and delicious. Doesn’t fall apart when you bite into it and is topped with airy fried onions that compliment the texture and flavor of the burger perfectly. The Sauce: Whatever’s in it, it works. This sauce adds that kick of flavor that makes this burger memorable. A little spicy, a little savory — this sauces turns a great burger into an unforgettable burger. This burger has officially become my favorite burger of all time. Thank you Swededish for unleashing this divine culinary masterpiece upon us. On another note, I see all these reviews about the meatballs and I gotta try ‘em out next time! Whoo! Swededish is the ish, yo~

SwedeDISH is Orlando’s only Swedish food truck serving traditional Swedish fare. They, of course, offer homemade Swedish meatballs and homemade mashed potatoes with a cream sauce and lingonberry jam. Another popular item is the Viking Dog — a Swedish thin bread wrap stuffed with an all-beef hotdog, Swedish spices and homemade mashed potatoes. The Potato Cupcake is one of my faves consisting of shredded potatoes, onions and white sharp cheddar cheese. Explore and let your taste buds soar!

The Swedish meatballs are a must. The mash potatoes are made so well. I have seen their huge items, but I always order the meatballs. Quick friendly service. Always greets you with a smile.

The boysenberry(i think) jelly with the creamy mushroom sauced meatballs is Moy Spectacularo!- I think thats Swedish. I got this as my meal #2 during a food binge at Tasty Tuesdays. They are there often. Smorgasbyorg your face!

«Beloved Thor» To my beloved Thor, I could not love you more. At first I was afraid it’s true, but after the first bite I knew. Seeing the all beef hot dog lay in the middle, my heart lept just a little. The complexity of mashed potatoes was tied, to real crab salad and lightly breaded onions that were fried. Bound with love in a crisp but soft flat bread, but once I was done I was filled with dread. I had eaten my beloved Thor, and I am now left wanting more. .

THOR is awesome. I admit it. I do not normally eat hot dogs. THOR can hardly be called a hot dog. The Swededish food truck often shows up at the College Park Farmers Market, and when it does show up, count me in for a THOR. Is it the mashed potaotes spread on the thin and tasty bread? Is it the crab seafood spread on top of the potatoes? Is it the flavor of dill? Is it the actual hot dog? Whatever it is, this is a great dish. Try it, and you will have a new opinion about hotdogs. We have had many of the other dishes too. All are very good. One week there was a special that involved thin sliced cucumbers, smooth creamy cheese, and tuna — another favorite.

A few weeks back, I had my second sampling of food from the SwedeDISH food truck at the Winter Park Food Truck Stop. I tried food from the truck earlier this year(during the springtime), but my memory of it was pretty hazy — even the next day! — since a few friends and I had some drinks at Tom and Jerry’s before checking out the food trucks. I needed to make a second trip here before I could write a decent and fair review. Both times that I ate at this truck, I had the Ragnarök, which is the truck’s signature burger. Unfortunately, I don’t remember its exact ingredients(I didn’t take a picture of the menu during either visit), but the burger is very tasty.(See the picture I’ve provided.) If you’ve tried this burger, then you know how good it is. I was tempted to order something else during my second visit, but didn’t bring enough money and still had to get a few things from some other trucks that night, so I didn’t go overboard at SwedeDISH. Maybe I will try something different next time, perhaps as soon as this coming Thursday since I am planning on going to the WPFTS then. The woman who works at(or owns?) the truck and who has taken my order during both of my visits is very friendly. The truck seems to be enjoying success throughout town and I hope that it remains one of the mainstays in our city’s roster of trucks. Check out its Facebook page for the latest news. It frequently is updated and you often can find out when and where the truck will be open. The two times that I’ve been to it have been at the WPFTS, though the truck makes the rounds throughout some of our city’s food truck events. I’ve seen it in Longwood, Winter Park, at Tasty Tuesdays in the Milk District and several other places. I may add a 5th star to my review at some point down the road, though I’m going to have to bypass the burger during a future visit or two and try a few other menu offerings before giving the truck a 5-star review. For now, though, it’s, to me, a very high 4!

The Swedish meatballs were awesome. Served up with some mashed potatos, gravy, ligonberry jam and cucumber salad. A delicous small meal.

I’m a sucker for Swedish Meatballs! The Lingonberry jam is the best part! I buy that stuff at Ikea. Follow these guys on facebook to catch some specials like student discounts on the Thor hotdog :-) Only 4 stars because the student special portions are kinda small.

After tasting the Swedish Meatballs here, I thought I had died and gone to Valhalla. What is so great about them ? In the native language they are called Svenska kottbullar med potatismos, inlagd gurka och lingonsylt, we just called them Swedish Meatballs with mashed potatoes, it’s easier to say. These flavorful home made beef balls getting covered with a cream sauce; add to that a dollop of lingonberry jam and some pickled gherkins. The jam provides some tarty sweetness the gherkins some saltiness and then to top it off you have to mounds of mash potatoes. It’s a well rounded dish, simply perfect, simply delicious.

I discovered SwedeDish at one of those food truck gatherings where you stand in a parking lot and get dizzy from breathing in the gas fumes. Being the adventerous eater that I pride myself in, I went with the Swedish Meatballs(herring being far too sophisticated for me). Unlike the frozen ones at IKEA, these little balls tasted homemade and it seemed like they were rolled with love. They were served with lingonberries, the tart food that’s trying to take the place of beloved staple Cranberry Sauce-in-a-can, homemade pickles and way too much mashed potatoes. On this chilly night, it was a comforting dish. My one complaint is the ratio of meatballs to potatoes. More meatballs are needed to justify $ 7. Service was good, and the lady seemed Swedish so it’s possibly authentic. Comfort food at a decent price.
