Probably the worst dining experience ever. Was ten an hour in line to order. Horrible efficiency. Avoid if you care about your time.

For theme park food, this food was especially good. I don’t see how this place could have 3 stars, but maybe the other reviewers ordered different stuff. It is cafeteria style, we had a great service, and I found it fairly easy to go through the line and get our food. My husband and I ordered the chicken with the ribs. We each got our own and were stuffed to the brim. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The ribs were perfectly seasoned. We really enjoyed the food. The sides were also very good! We got the strawberry shake, it was delish, but it was also only 10 to 12 oz for $ 4+. I only wish that it were bigger for the price. I would definitely come back here for more food. This location provides ample amount of seating and a phenomenal view. Highly recommended!

This is my first review for a theme park restaurant. This place is located in the islands of adventure side of universal studios. By the Jurassic park area hence the thunder falls theme. Walked by this place countless times when I was here but never tried it. It always seemed so empty to me. Walked in and it is a bit dark, with a cafeteria style food serving, a sit down restaurant. Nothing fancy at all. I can’t argue on the negative reviews when it comes to service. Pretty slow and unorganized. It gets pretty frustrating but I understand I would hate working there too if I did so I don’t blame them lol Cleanliness can be improved. The food didn’t look super fresh. The choices look delicious though like mango BBQ chicken, ribs, corn on the cob, brownie and cookie as one. There are really good combo plates and we went with the mango BBQ chicken, ribs and corn on cob and the brownie and cookie thing. Reasonable price for good portions. Now the good taste? FREAKINGAMAZING. I loved the mango BBQ sauce on the chicken, the ribs were tender and not skinny at all. The dessert was extremely good too. Definitely surprised me because the food didn’t look to fresh on the display but damn was it good. Hell yeah I would come back here and eat again, especially if I’m really hungry. Great place to stock up your belly after walking so much in the parks. 2 star experience but the food brought it up 3 stars. Good 5 out of 5. I will be back!

This place is absolutely horrible. My chicken wrap was supposed to have bbq sauce on it I think? It was dry, cold, and had a giant chicken bone in it that I was seconds of biting in to. They were very helpful and apologetic and offered a refund. The bbq sauce on the ribs has a strange chemical aftertaste. They also charge a whole lot for the very little food they give you. I’m so tired of people charging $ 7+ for a kids meal. Really just a horrible lunch, so regretful of deciding to eat here just because it was the closest thing to us… other places in the park look a lot more promising.

We got the chicken and ribs combo and were pretty pleased. The line is definitely a long wait, but I’d say Thunder Falls Terrace is definitely one of the better foods in Universals. The chicken was hot and fresh when we got it, juicy, and skin was crispy and seasoned. The ribs weren’t too bad either just wished I got more barbecue sauce. Would come here again next visit.

I’m surprised at the negative reviews. I had the barbecue half chicken with rice and beans and potatoes. This was some dang good chicken! Good crispy flavorful skin. The chicken was super moist. Rice and beans and the potatoes were good as well. And I left stuffed! A great surprise in IOA. I would eat here anytime.

Typical theme park restaurant — Overpriced, crowded, greasy meat and cold fries. The employees were friendly though and and least it’s air conditioned and tables were available.

Making this quick since on vacation. Price was ok for amusement park. Had ribs and chicken… ribs were decent, chicken was dry! Came with potatoes and corn. Both tasted as if sitting around for a while. Family was ok with the lunch… but nothing compared to Busch Gardens BBQ! Selection overall was minimal.

All I can say is dry chicken. We had 3 platters that basically had that dry chicken. I had to smother it with ketchup. I haven’t done that ever in my whole life, this is a first! That’s all I remember. Dry chicken, but the cafeteria décor is cute. The best thing was the corn on the cob.

If your in the mood for rotisserie chicken, this is your place, everything else is bland, frozen, and thorn together.

Omg this is the most amount of food I have every had. One platter is enough for 3 people. The turkey leg is good but the chicken is the easiest to eat. I loved the corn!

When stopped here to have lunch while at the park. Service was horrible. The first lady to assist in line just walked away and never came back… we waited while the computer terminal went down several times. The entire line was frustrated and the employees were equally as frustrated and you could see it in their faces. The cashier was the only one to apologize for the delays and trying to make things right. I had the chicken wrap(no cheese) and my gf had the rotisserie chicken. The food was pretty good and you get a decent amount with each meal. I just wish the service and computers were working on point so we could back to enjoying the rest of the park.

We were all Thundering over how impressed we were with our meal at Thunder Falls Terrace. Let’s just say we had a very Carniv-Glorious time!!! This is a pretty darn good choice for lunch if you are at Islands of Adventure. Here is how our decisions making process went. It was a little past lunch and we had just finished the long lines and crowds in Harry Potter Land(Hogwartz, I know, I know). We did not want to attempt eating there because it was just too crazy. We considered doing Mythos, but we knew that would probably take longer and be more of a process. Plus, we wanted to get into Jurassic Park Land while it was still half-warm out and do the water ride. As we worked through Jurassic Park, there was the option of just pizza, or just burgers. All the options were singular. We wanted more options to choose from. Then we found Thunder Falls Terrace. For Amusement Park food, the prices are pretty affordable. They also have a decent variety of drink choices. Beer, Wine, Hot Chocolate, Hot Coffee, Frozen Coffee, the list goes on and on. And you can even get the souvenir cups for many of the different drinks. I just went with soda, and everyone in our group just did soda, or bottles of water. But the food selection was what we were really after. I got the Chicken and Ribs. Neither portion was huge, but when put together, it filled me up just fine. The ribs were really really good. I kind of wish that I just did the full ribs platter. I like white meat better, and I am pretty sure the chicken that came in this combo platter was dark. Nevertheless, it was very enjoyable. My fiancée got the same time. My dad did the whole rotisserie chicken platter. He really really liked it. The portions were huge and he filled up so much he even shared some of his white meat with me. I really liked the chicken. It was not too dry, and had just the right flavor. My mom did the tortilla soup. She really liked it. She also got fried plantains and salsa. I had a few. It was a very enjoyable change from chips and salsa. I liked it a lot, the salsa impressed me with its fresh taste. My brother did a huge turkey leg. With his beard, he looked like a viking. It probably would have been a more fitting sight at Norway in Epcot. We all laughed at the grease in his beard afterwards. He was happy he had been talking about getting a huge Turkey leg all weekend. My brother’s girlfriend got a burger. She was pretty happy with it, but it did not look super pretty and the juices got the bun pretty soggy by the end of our meal. Overall, you cannot go wrong with the chicken or the ribs. The prices are decent and the food pretty darn good.

Here’s my latest entrée conquest: Chargrilled Ribs Platter $ 13.49 — Not as good as Disney’s Flame Tree Grill, or Busch Garden’s Trapper’s Smoke House. Chicken & Ribs $ 13.49 — It’s a good sampler platter. Smoked Turkey Leg $ 11.99 — Overpriced, but tastes slightly better than Epcot’s Turkey leg with a bit more salt and smoke tastes. Rotisserie Chicken $ 9.99 — Better than Boston Market. It’s savory, and has a nice salty sweet glaze. Chicken Tortilla Wrap $ 8.99 — Better than Taco Bell. Strips of breast meat. Healthy, but I don’t think it’s worth $ 8.99 if it were not in an amusement park. Bacon Cheeseburger $ 9.19 — Better than Burger King. The meat waters out quite a bit and the burger kind of falls apart near the halfway point of eating it, where the bread gets soaked and mushes away. The taste is pleasing. Though not one of my favorite amusement park eateries, it’s still not that bad.

What is it with ameusment parks and food. I can deal with you get crappy quality, but at least make it taste good. They rape you with the price and then they stiff you with the taste. I wish the parks would wise up and give you better food even if they would charge a couple more bucks. I had the ribs, which were fatty and greasy and tastless for being bar-b-q ribs. The fries were too seasoned with their seasonsed salt, which were also greasy. The burgers were awful, dry and chewy.

I ordered Rotisserie Chicken Salad(about $ 13) It was surprisingly good for an amusement park. This is a fast, cafeteria style restaurant with a safari theme as this restaurant is located in the Jurassic Park. You can sit indoor and outdoor. One big plus was here was a drinking water faucet in this restaurant. Unlike the ones from water fountains everywhere in the park, drinking water here was odorless and tasteless. This saved me and my friends and it instantly became my favorite water refilling spot.
