We made a 5:45 reservation via open table. When we arrived we were told by the hostess they were booked solid and we had a 2 hour seating window. If we need to stay longer we needed to let them know. On Saturday the music starts at 8 and this could be the reason. Not a great way to be introduced to a new dining place where we were celebrating two birthdays. Our waiter was very personable. I ordered Prosecco and it was poured into the red wine glass already placed on the table. That was a first for me! My next drink was a glass of wine that was poured into the same glass. Another first. The shrimp cocktail was good not great. The Ceasar salad was very good but a small portion. I split the blackened grouper and it was excellent. My guests had chicken cordon blue(dry), salmon(excellent) and sides of asparagus and Mac and cheese which were mediocre. We were served a complimentary birthday cake which was a nice thought however we were not offered a dessert menu and two of us are not cake lovers. We did notice the folks sitting next to us didn’t get their food for over an hour and when it arrived one of the dishes was not acceptable. The décor is fun and very a South Beach Miami vibe. We didn’t stay for the music because the bar area was filling up and there was limited seating. Overall I would say that it was good not great and hit or miss based on the time you arrive.

We arrived for our 6:30 reservation, and we were pleasantly surprised to be seated early. Our server, Laura, promptly greeted us and was a delight. The ambiance was amazing. Perfect for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. The pianist was great. Food was delicious. Overall, our experience was great. We really enjoyed ourselves, and the service provided by Laura was EXCELLENT. Having been in the fine dining industry in California for 10 years, I know special days such as Valentine’s Day aren’t the best days to judge an establishment. Even so, I felt that 31 Supper Club did an amazing job. Before we left, we decided we would definitely come back to check out the full menu. Thank you 31 Supper Club for an amazingly romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. We will be back!

My wife & I decided to try the 31 Supper Club in Ormond Beach along with 4 of our friends for Valentine’s Day. A few weeks before Valentine’s Day, I tried making a reservation through«Open Table» for 6 but, after requesting several different times(5 to 7pm) nothing was available other than for 3:30. Since it was a busy day for most restaurants, we decided to go at 3:30. A few days before the 14th, I received a call asking that we arrive on time because our table was reserved for 6pm. I assured them we’d be on time. A day or two before I received an email reminding us to be there by 3:30. We arrived at 3:20 and it appeared there was a problem with our reservation. Another hostess arrived after a few minutes and brought us to our table, which was for 8 persons. There were several empty tables for 6 but for some reason they said the only table available was for 8. In any case they removed the extra place settings and from then on everything was fine. Our waiter Alejandro was great and personable and asked us for our drink order. After serving our cocktails, he helped us select an entrée from their special Valentine’s Day lunch menu because they weren’t serving from the regular menu which was fine with us. The food was wonderful(and we truly mean that). Three of us had the salmon, two had the grouper and one had the lobster quiche. All the meals were beautifully prepared and delicious. The desserts(Crème Brule and Bread Pudding) were okay but not as good as we anticipated. While we dined, live music was provided and a few couples got up to dance. The music was nice but a little too loud for easy conversation at our table but the recorded music played during the break was at a perfect volume. We finished our meals and paid our check by around 5pm(in plenty of time for the table to be ready for another seating) but we noticed that in all the time we were there, the restaurant was maybe half full and at least 2 or 3 of the tables for 6 were unoccupied. All in all we enjoyed our meals, the restaurant is very upscale, service was great and entrees were excellent but we were a little annoyed that they sat us at a very large table when smaller ones remained unoccupied, seemed unable to find our reservation and the live music was a little too loud. I am still giving them 5 stars although a 4.5 would be more appropriate.

This place is pretty great! My husband and I are in Daytona Beach for his business trip and were very disappointed by what we saw and experienced in Daytona. This place was certainly worth the few minute drive out of Daytona. The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. I always appreciate when a restaurant can accommodate my vegetarian diet and when the waitstaff are knowledgeable about the food, which was the case here. And, one of the best parts, was the live entertainment. We didn’t even know to expect that, so it was a very pleasant surprise. It definitely felt like we went back in time to a different era and we loved it. The other people loved it too, as you can see them energetically dancing to the live music. Great place, highly recommended.

Great atmosphere! Food was delicious and very reasonably priced for a high end restaurant! Staff was friendly and knowledgable about their wide selection of liquors. Highly recommend and I will return when in the area. Veal special was delicious and so was the filet.

While visiting for Turkey Run with friends, we had a horrible meal. Some of our steaks were under cooked and others were tuff. Over priced for cheap cuts of beef. Plus rudeness started cleaning place and clearing table before we were done with our meal.

Awesome place to eat but not a good place for conversation. Drinks were good, onion soup and Oyster Rockefeller excellent along with NY Strip and filet mignon but background noise was way too loud. I could barely hear the person sitting next to me.

Food & drink were awesome — the Monk fish en Papillote in a lobster sauce was incredible– one of the best. Salmon app was tasty but server forgot & never returned with lemon. The ambience, the music & the décor are gorgeous just like a speakeasy in the 1920s. The service was bad — yes they were busy but our server did not have more than 3 tables and every time we needed something we had to ask the bus person or another server to get our server! For their price point, the service needs to be 4 star like the atmosphere and the clientele.

I was in Ormond Beach last week visiting my son, I am from Seattle, and was lucky enough to enjoy two dinners at this very fine and super fun restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere were spectacular. Very relaxing to have such great food in a beautiful place with superb live music that was not too loud to have a conversation. Congrats to Sloan and his staff for such an excellent concept, a speak easy in the 30’s, and for being able to pull it off is such a perfect manner. Make sure you try the Caesar and Prime Rib on Tuesdays. Rave reviews on the Banana Fosters Cheesecake as well. Check out the events schedule too. Guarantee you will not be disappointed. FANTASTIC!

What a FUN experience! My husband took me there for my birthday! The food was excellent! As was the service and the cocktails were made from scratch and were divine! The live music started at 7pm. Based on the 1930’s décor and elegance you were transported back in time. This particular evening there was a Bobbie Darin Tribute! The guy was SPOTON if you like Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Bobbie Darin and other«crooners» He was amazing and would take his wireless microphone and walk around from table to table engaging the customers. The staff is especially trained in the ultimate dining service. They KNOW that T.I.P. stands for«To Insure Promptness» We can’t wait to go back!

I can’t speak to their food because I haven’t actually eaten here, but their cocktails will knock your socks off! I mean they are delicious! They have two awesome bartenders, Melissa and Katie, whom crafted the drinks on the menu. They seem to work pretty much constantly, are super friendly, and have a passion and artistry for hand crafted cocktails. I don’t usually drink whisky, bourbon, or rye, but these girls have made me a believer. While every cocktail I tried was delicious, make sure you tell them what you like because some are sweeter than others and not for everyone’s taste. They are completely accommodating though, if you tell them what you like, they’ll craft you something tasty!

Came on a Friday night, we had a 9:30 reservation, were immediately seated, Tanya, our server was very attentive, courteous, and made us feel very welcome! Our drinks were expertly crafted and delicious! I ordered the 14oz strip steak, it was prepared medium rare and perfect! Also, being able to pick out my own freshly sharpened steak knife was an awesome touch! My lady friend had the chicken cordon bleu, she thoroughly enjoyed it, and the bite I tried was awesome! Our sides were generously portioned and great as well! I had the bacon Gouda mac and cheese, and she had the mashed blue potatoes. Overall, a great dining experience in a beautifully decorated restaurant! Highly recommended!

The feel and finish of this place is great. Finally a classy place to go that isn’t always packed with old people clearing their throats the whole time. The drinks are original and outstanding. The staff is very professional but fun and engaging. I like the wall outside that has old movies running. And I can’t forget the live music.

Awesome! All the way, to begin with the cocktails are wonderful, the New York or the southern gentleman to begin and bees knees to finish, I did not try the signature drink. The service was impeccable, our server, John was attentive without being obtrusive. We try the shrimp cocktail and the salmon carpaccio as appetizer, the shrimps were huge and fresh and the salmon too, wild caught. The steak I had perfectly cut and cook and the monk fish cooked in parchment paper with butter sauce delicate and flavorful. We did not have desserts but finish with absinthe prepared in the table by the fabulous bartender Melissa In summary a memorable dinner experience, great food and service. I almost forgot to mention the live entertainment with oldies performed for the delight of the guests

Perfect execution on what I’ve thought was missing today. A place to dress up to go out for dinner. A place to be seen and to mingle. Live entertainment that feels like days long past. Great drinks, food, entertainment, and service. The outside bar is perfect for happy hour or a night cap after dinner somewhere else.

Great atmosphere, very good live music from Larry Poulton, and most importantly great food. I had the salmon and it was done just how I requested, along with a yummy spinach and orzo side dish. The cocktails are creative, vintage and delicious. Great for dinner or drinks outside in their beautiful bar area.

Me and girlfriend decided to try this the first week it opened, after NYE on a saturday night. We stopped by shortly after 6pm, walked to the hostess and noticed maybe only 3 tables were taken, the place looked pretty empty considering it was the weekend. Anyway, we asked for a table for 2 and were told they were all reserved and we could either sit at the bar or grab a table in the lounge outside. We chose to sit outside and fortunately the rain had cleared out by then. Besides this, after we were done with our meal and wanted to use the restroom, they showed us to the one in the lounge outside, so we felt like they didn’t want us inside, it was weird. On to the food and drinks. We were really looking forward to trying this new place as it had been closed forever, and it promised craft cocktails and a classy atmosphere. We both ordered a cocktail each, an appetizer to share, an entrée and a side each. I’d say I would totally go back but would only have cocktails and appetizers or sides, not entrees. The sides were a good size and fairly priced, but the entrees seemed overpriced to me, considering it was just the protein. The cocktails were good and priced the same as any other place that makes craft cocktails($ 9 – 10). I only caught a brief glimpse of the inside and it wasn’t quite my cup of tea, it seemed a bit tacky, with a lot of zebra tapestry on the chairs. I really liked the outside lounge, they even had a projector showing Casablanca and lounge music playing on the background. I also have to say, service was really good, they were very attentive throughout our meal. Definitely gonna give it another shot.

One word, mediocre. If you have reservations for 8:45PM, expect to be seated around 10PM. 10PM; this is the time in which you should arrive if you would like to get a prompt service and be seated accordingly. Overbooking aside, the food was lackluster and hit or miss. Some of the dishes that came out were exceptional, and others were unpalatable. There was no consistency in the quality of the food that was delivered from the kitchen. Considering the head chef Mark is on his third local restaurant, it’s no surprise the same lacking qualities have followed through on the third try. For appetizers the cheese platter was delightful. The smoked blue cheese was exceptional. The fries however showed up limp and not ready for the show. Surprisingly the housemaid ketchup brought them back to life. This being said, it’s a little odd when the condiments are more memorable than the actual entrées themselves. My entrée was the bone in filet with sautéed mushrooms, with a side of asparagus with hollandaise sauce. The steak was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The asparagus was served raw! I couldn’t believe it when I bit into the piece. Such a disappointment… A final key note was my companion’s pasta. It was bland with no flavor. No other way to describe it but bland, and desolate of all flavor. Overall the cocktails are good and the food is hit or miss. For the price you pay, and the expectations of the establishment it’s class is unfounded.
