This is the second time that I’ve visited Lenny’s, as I’m an occasional visitor to Ormond Beach from Chicago. The first time, last fall, was excellent. The pizza(took it to go) was delicious, and we also tried a slice of Stromboli and a couple of cannoli, also very good. The employees were welcoming, friendly, and frankly hilarious. I was thrilled to have found a good pizza place down here after, literally, 40-odd years of searching. I’m from Chicago. I am picky about my pizza. This time I went in without having ordered first. I sensed that something was off the second I walked through the door. Customers who were waiting looked shocked. Employees looked harried and harassed and upset. I actually wondered for a moment if the place wasn’t in the midst of a hold-up. Not joking. I backed up towards the door for a second until I realized that there was no hold up. Everyone in the place – customers and employees – was upset. They looked scared, frankly. Customers stood stock-still, looking shocked. It was weird. It was the guy at the cash register. Big guy. Maybe he’s Lenny? I don’t know. I didn’t ask any questions. I went up to place my order and a guy zipped up to take it before the big guy at the cash register had a chance to speak to me. A calzone(DELICIOUS), some of their apparently famous garlic knots(NOTDELICIOUS. I’m a pretty strong woman. It took some strength to pull the bread apart, and they were dripping in grease at the bottom) and a cannoli(haven’t eaten it yet as I write this, but the last time I had one, it was a decently good cannoli). I went and sat a table to wait for my order. I figured it would be about 20 minutes, and it was. My name was called and I paid the big, angry guy and then sat down again close to the register after he started yelling«Order for Viki? You got this order for Viki?» to the kitchen guys. «Two minutes!» one of them yelled. About a minute or so later, the big guy stood up and kicked a chair behind him. It flew across the kitchen with a rather violent clatter and ended up stuck halfway beneath the pizza oven. He’s lucky it didn’t hit anyone. One guy picked it up and tried to place it out of the way of the big, angry guy and another employee told him to move it out into the seating area. I felt distinctly that he was afraid the big angry guy would eventually pick it up and hurl it at someone. I don’t know what happened before I came in. I don’t know what made the big angry guy so damn angry. But that behavior is absolutely, completely unacceptable. I felt an overwhelming urge to hug all of the employees and to tell them it would be okay. They looked abused. One employee asked the big angry guy a question, and the initial response was unintelligible, the employee said«I don’t know,» and the big, angry guy said«yeah, you don’t know nothing.» My choice of stars has nothing to do with the food.(Except those garlic knots – ick). Dude, if you can’t handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen and stay out of the restaurant business. And don’t ever, ever let a customer see you kick a freakin chair across a room. Pathetic and childish. If the big angry guy is not an owner, he should be fired.

Stopped here for lunch. Ordered a buffalo chicken slice and a mozzarella/tomato. The buffalo chicken tasted more like sweet maple syrup. The mozzarella slice was good but could have used a few more spices to knick it up a notch. The waitress was very helpful and polite. Overall it was OK just used to pizza from New Haven, Ct area which I think is the best.

Absolutely incredible. I got two cheese slices and they were so big I could barely finish them. The knots are phenomenal. Would definitely come back and I live all the way in Miami. The service was great, as soon as we walked in we were seated and served. My husband got the buffalo blue cheese pizza and he wasn’t a fan but he did also get a white slice and said that it was amazing.

A friend of mine recommended this place to me, he’s originally from Canada lives in Ormond Beach, me from NY and I live in Orlando area, we had a hankering for some good pizza! Looked up of the reviews, of course and I was sold. We ordered to go, took about 30 minutes, we orders an XL large cheese pizza and garlic knots. When I saw the box, I was astonished at how big it was!!! Holy sh*t! The pizza was amazing! Huge slices! Delicious! The garlic knots were a little too oily and a lil hard in top, not really soft and chewy, like normal garlic knots. But all good, they still deserve a 5 star rating! I definitely can’t wait to go back again! It’s the closest thing, I’ve gotten to NYC pizza!!!

Great pizza at a fair price! We got 2 massive slices, 2 sodas, 4 delicious garlic knots and 10 wings and spent less then $ 20. That’s a steal especially considering how absolutely delicious it was. We will be back!

THISPIZZAISAWESOME! Seriously, it’s amazing. We got a 24″ Margherita, and it was perfectly delicious at a ridiculously good value($ 20 for enough pizza to feed an army). The staff were friendly, polite(they got the door for me and my wife and son), and very fast to serve us. I’m both sad and glad this pizza place isn’t near my hometown(Atlanta). Sad because I can’t eat it often, glad because that means I won’t get enormously obese from eating it often. The pizza was so big it barely fit in my Honda Fit. It was beyond huge. I almost had to tie it to the roof or something. I’m not kidding. I’m going to upload a picture of this thing next to my toddler, it was so large he could sleep on it.

Two words: HUGE! GOOD! * That is all! * Just to further define good for all you pizza aficionados: I’m not talking«OMG, this is the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life» good! However I would say it was«WOW this is some great pizza and it only cost $ 16» good! And just to further define HUGE: This pizza could literally be used as a blanket to swaddle a newborn infant and the box could be a flotation device in an emergency tsunami situation. The box this pizza comes in is literally the size of a 30 inch stove top w/slices so large they won’t fit on a standard sized plate. Dang thing is so big I thought it might actually eat ME! But what is even more impressive is it tastes great AND is reasonably priced! How often can you say that anymore?

Excellent food! This place is a few miles from Daytona Beach, but it is DEFINITELY worth the drive. Located in a strip mall. It has a small seating area(10 or 12 tables) and was seat yourself when we went in for lunch. As soon as we walked in the door the owner greeted us — he greeted everyone who walked in while we were there — and the wait staff was very friendly. The food was excellent! We ordered the Greek salad, calzones, and a couple slices of pizza — they were all delicious and HUGE portions. Each item was big enough to share, we ended up taking home enough food for another meal and it was very reasonably priced — Family of 4 for $ 36!!! This is a MUST stop if you are in the Daytona Beach area.
