For the price it is hard to find a better, more filling meal. Average meals are under $ 15, generally with salad rice and beans. Quality is 4 stars value is 5.

Great lunch there today. Chicken fajita for me and shrimp fajita for him. Black beans and delicious rice on the side as well as guacamole and sour cream. Just enough spice to make it interesting. Prices are very reasonable and service is good. Will go there again!

So this restaurant is now under new ownership and is now a different Karma. Food was great and plentiful. Waitstaff was great and service was much better than the previous Karma.

So I don’t know where to began. I arrived at Karma for there daily 2 for 1. I glanced and as for the a food menu. The menue has shrunken with it sleek english version . this is is still one of the cheapest places to eat and take a family. i tried the fried chicken taco, noit authentic but it was an ok rendition of american fusion. Please don’t be fooled, The chicken is not fried but the taco is. i looked forward to coming here for breakfast

The service is very good. Food is good for the price. Don’t waste your time with the ceviche! The rest is good enough. You get what you pay for.

The portions are good and so is the pricing but the food is never hot. I have eaten here more than a handful but they can never get the food hot. Beware of what you order from the bar. Stick to simple things. Waiting for improvements.

Tried this place last night and im back again today… The food was delicious and the place looks very clean. They have out door and indoor seating. Its now a spanish restaurant with great food!!! There is plenty of parking. Most of the people speak spanish only but dont let that stop you. They have a big menu in english

I really enjoyed this place for my first time out. Their are some negative reviews but that is from the previous owners not these new people. Turns out these new owners are from Guatemala which I never would have guessed but I was«pleasantly surprised try them out two thumbs for Ossining’s Karma great food and a huge amount of choices(super soft steak OMG)

I believe this place is now closed, which is a shame, as it had the potential to be something awesome! The food was always pretty good, albeit a bit pricey, the space beautiful and the owners very friendly. However, it couldn’t really make up its mind if it wanted to be a martini bar, nightclub or a restaurant. Plus service was often slow, and the drinks really not that good for the price. I think it’s best to excel at one thing, rather than do several things to a mediocre standard. The menu was better and more affordable when it was based around tapas, rather than entrees, and the drinks lacked any imaginative flair or real knowledge of cocktail making. I wish the owners better luck for the future!

While I would have liked to try this place during dinner hours, my one and only [NEAR] nightly experience here has turned me off from trying(along with such other horrible reviews.) One Saturday after sushi nearby, friends and I decided to check this place out. It was about eight of us and with a hefty cover charge of 10 $, they would have made off well… had we even walked in. The bouncer who I will name Big Pauly, 6’3, about 300 pounds and grumpy as all hell, was clad in a DTF shirt and baggy jeans. My friendly group walked up eager to check this place out as we had never been before, but upon hearing the bogus door fee, we asked to check it out inside first. I walked ahead a bit, but soon the bouncer was covering my view of the door, saying No, you have to pay to get in, you can’t check it out. Are you kidding??? Well you dumb oaf, I’m about 6’2 in stilettos and was still able to see… A lame band still setting up at nearly 11pm and about 4 patrons at the bar. Yeah. Real poppin in here. Laughed about the door charge, the lack of anything enjoyable inside, and not to mention. nice try with the DTF shirt buddy. No one is going to take you up on that. Sucks b/c I really wanted to try it out, but nope, you turned me off completely

The good: We had Calimari and Risotto for appetizers and they were both good. The calimari was served with aoili and roumelade instead of marinara sauce which is more common– but the sauces were great. The skirt steak– medium rare– was tender and delicious! The steak was lightly sauced(marinated possibly?) in some steak sauce I didn’t recognize, it had a slightly sweet taste to it, but it was awesome! The menu mentioned chimichurri sauce, which was nowhere to be found but I didn’t miss it at all. It was also reasonably priced at $ 21 Be cautioned: The portion size left a bit to be desired, the steak itself was a decent size, but there wasn’t much in the way of sides, could’ve used more of those delicious potatoes. If I go back I’ll probably ask for an extra side of them. The muscle scallop pasta my friend got was huge. The service was on the slow side, I didn’t mind because I was with friends, the atmosphere was nice, and the staff was friendly. If I was had been starving or in a rush I might’ve left a bit annoyed. Advice: Try the aioli or the roumelade even if you don’t get the Calimari, I used the roumelade on my potatoes and I loved the combo

The menu here was recently redone, and it’s a lot better than it was in the past. They tried tapas for a while, but they revamped again a few weeks ago, and it’s much more streamlined now. The food takes a little while to come out, but it’s because everything is fresh and well-balanced. The eggplant lasagna is wonderful, the papardelle with lamb sauce is great, and the chocolate lava cake is really decadent and delicious. The staff is super friendly. I’m hoping they’ve really found themselves now, and stay with this new style of food.

I can’t figure this place out. I think it’s because Karma Lounge has multiple personalities. Part of the place looks like an amazing NYC lounge. The bar looks like you’ve traveled upstate to some rural town in the Catskills– not necessarily a bad thing, just a very strange and odd counterpoint to the main room. The food is very good. I’ve had the 5-spice ribs and the burger, and they are excellent. The prices are very reasonable. The selection of liquor and beer at the bar is extremely limited– they don’t always carry the same products either. They have a DJ. Every time I’ve gone here, at at some point music starts blasting so loud that you can’t here yourself think. I play in bands and I used to DJ– I enjoy music, even loud music. But this is really inappropriate and, at times, obnoxious. I always think there’s a huge party going on in one of the other rooms but it’s never the case. I’ll end this review how I began it: I can’t figure this place out.

I was here on a recent Friday evening and I found the food, atmosphere, service, all to be quite good. The restaurant is smaller than I expected it to be going in. The wait staff was all helpful, and the décor has a certain elegance to it. The menu isn’t quite as varied and interesting as I would have expected it to be, given the tone of the place, but the dishes that we had were all excellent and well proportioned — including dessert. Not a bad place to bring a date for a meal. At 11PM, a decent band came in and started playing. I was completely fine with that, but I’m glad that my date and I had a chance to enjoy all our conversation earlier. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. I did have to wonder a bit about the female manager’s choice of dress. When you’re going for a classy look and atmosphere in a place, I don’t think she should have been wearing worn out jeans — it was a bit out of place. But overall, this place was a plus. It’s a cut above what you might expect in Westchester, with a decent atmosphere, and overall very good food. I look forward to going back.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. The interior was hip and inviting with a nice outdoor patio. When seated we were given a plate of warm ciabatta with a side of apple relish and herbed butter, a nice start. Our appetizer of seared scallops over herbed polenta was on point! That’s all I’ve got… not another good thing about the evening. Our reservation was for 7:30, our dinners arrived at 10:15. Chimichurri skirt steak ordered medium was like shoe leather and the house burger was a hockey puck. The waitstaff was very friendly and but they were so inexperienced not an empty glass was removed from the table at any point of the meal. The tension in the dining room was palpable. We figured at least the DJ would add a good ending to a not so good evening. Again, not to be. By the time we left at 11:00 there wasn’t a dance to be had. We won’t make a repeat visit to Karma Lounge.

We’ve eaten there four times and enjoyed the food, which was tasty as well as inexpensive. The salads are pretty large and a little unexpected in terms of the flavors. We usually share tapas; the tapas menu is varied and the portions are generous. There is nothing ordinary; even the eggplant rollitini is a little different(you can check the menu online) Skirt steak is very good and cooked perfectly, and I don’t usually like skirt steak. Truffle risotto is really good as well. My wife loves the blood orange martini. Martinis, of course, are their specialty. Desserts are tasty and plenty large enough to share. I especially like the chocolate cake. The décor is cozy and inviting and the service has always been good. Bottom line is that this is a good place; the dishes are creative and flavorful and the prices very reasonable. And Tuesday nights they have excellent live jazz. Lastly, they have a lovely outdoor patio which is spacious and a really nice place to enjoy some drinks and food. There is NOPLACE else like this in the area. The rest of you foodies have to go to Karma Lounge!

Karma Lounge has great menu and fabulous chef… food is delicious and not too pricey… get Ali, one of the owners to make you a martini and I promise you’ll love it… lots of variety… jazz nights, karaōke, live bands and dj… check out their website for calendar of events… for the mature crowd… grown and sexy all the way… table seating, bar area, cocktail seating and couches to lounge on… a hidden nugget in this little riverside town… grab your friends head their for dinner and spend the rest of the night dancing away!

Very nice place, but the service was super slow. The waitress apologized and it was clear that it wasn’t her fault. We ordered some tapas as an appetizer and our entrees. We didn’t get our tapas for almost an hour and our entrees took almost 2 hours from the time that we ordered. That simply doesn’t work for me. The tapas arrived and they were delicious. Unfortunately we had waited so long that our table practically inhaled them. The skirt steak was especially good. We nursed our drinks and conversation as we waited for more food. When it did arrive we were starving. I had ordered the burger and it was just terrible. My friend had ordered the same thing and he agreed. The burger came with a ton of asiago cheese on it. This cheese is very potent and having so much of it really just overwhelmed everything else on the plate, it was all we could smell or taste. I know these«aromatic» cheeses can be an acquired taste, but I’ve had asiago before and this plate left our table smelling like an old shoe. We ate half or meal and ordered some more drinks to try and wash out the taste. My girlfriend ordered the«tropic-tini» and decorum dictates that I not describe what this thing looked like. It was quite possibly the most unattractive cocktail I have ever seen in my life. It seemed to taste okay, but it quickly became a game at our table to see who could bring themselves to take a sip. It looked just that gross. The waitress came over with our check and offered to take the last round of drinks off of our bill. I was going to ask for all of our drinks on the house at this point, but just thought it better to leave. As I paid, the waitress took me aside and apologized profusely. She said that they were short staffed that night and assured me that if we came back we would have a better experience. I explained that most of what we ordered was just bad. Short staffed or not, a burger should be an easy thing to do right. I told her that it was clearly not her fault, and we knew this, but that it would be unlikely for us to return. Many restaurants have failed in this location and if Karma doesn’t shape up they will just end up as another name on that list. PS: Check your menu for typos…

I saw this place when i was walking around Ossining… I was really happy I found a nice place for a quick martini on a friday afternoon. My husband said that there were NO good bars in Ossining but he had not been here before and I really thought this one could be good. We got there at 11 and sat at a table(10 dollar cover, because there was a band)… we waited for 20 minutes and even though the owner saw us, she didnt say a word. Of course we thought she would send somebody but nothing happened. Sooo… we went to the bar and realized that you could only order there(how were we suposed to know this?), that shots were 9 dollars(in NYC we pay between 2 and 7) and martinis were 10 dollars(average), that they dont serve food between 11 and 3am(i asked the owner is there was any way i could get something, maybe something simple or just chips but she –while eating chips– said no), and that the owner(the woman) is really REALLY rude. I was even more upset when i saw a girl having dinner at 12. I guess you have to be a friend to get this service. Bad in everyway!!! I am disappointed.
