The Best coffee around! I have lived in Miami for the past 14 years & didn’t think I would find coffee up here that could match my café con leche from Las Olas, but this place is great, and pan de bono too!!!

Easily the best coffee in the Austin area ! Authentic Colombian coffee, prepared exactly the way youd like! The pastries and other goods behind the counter are usually even better than they look! It’s a great spot to sit and enjoy your coffee, but admittedly the space is very small and the seating is only a enough for about 10 people! Free WiFi, friendly service, and excellent beverages! Even the smoothies are excellent, and Hella healthy!

Do not waste your time here. The coffee is overpriced and bitter and the workers are snotty and disconnected. A $ 1 coffee at McDonalds is just as good. What a rip off.

Whenever I am in downtown Ossining, I make a point to visit this amazing coffee shop. Independently run, honoring the diversity of Ossining, and always staffed by friendly baristas. I am not a coffee drinker, so I appreciate the huge selection of hot and iced chocolate. All contain hints of spices like cinnamon, and are rich without being sickly. A great place to go with friends or to grab a cup before heading to the train station.

Best coffee around. Their baked goods are just average. The small cheesy rolls are the highlight of the bakery. I love that they use frozen coffee for ice cubes. There is some inconsistency in prices, as far as the iced coffee drinks. eg. Their iced coffee on the menu lists vanilla as an ingredient, but if you specify vanilla you get charged more. It’s confusing and their prices are a bit high for the type of shop and locality. It’s the same prices as more upscale places like Tazza in Armonk or even starbucks. I prefer a Quimbaya to those kind of places but also expect prices to be more in line with location, décor, etc.

My gut instinct steered us in the right direction. Not just coffee in this local O town spot. Fresh juices and food made on the spot as well! I ordered a huevos rancheros breakfast but they had the traditional egg bacon and cheese sandwiches too. Cute little place/café where you could sit down or get take out. All the people behind the counter were so sweet and were able to fully explain the menu(endless selections) in complete detail. From the outside its hard to tell what exactly is going on because its tucked away, but as soon as you walk inside, you get Columbian breakfast joint meets Mrs Greens(Columbian history of coffee and brightto colors on the walls). My egg dish was a unique authentic columbian/mexican dish cooked from the heart where every flavor burst in my mouth screamed authentic fresh and attentive to detail. The wait was slightly longer than average and the food was served with plastic cutlery verus metal, however the charm of the waitress, great taste of the food, decent prices, and quaint quirky personality of the place made up for the wait and overexceeded expectations. The hot chocolate was also delicious, and i tried a fresh made oatmeal cookie as well, which tasted freshly baked the kind of cookie that tasted as good as your mom would make at home(assuming of course your mom could cook pretty well).

I wanted to post a more recent review. I had their coffee which is made with fresh steamed frothed milk, sugar cane and freshly grounded Colombian beans. It was delicious. I also had their typical Colombian empanadas and they were very tasty. Came with a tangy salsa that was mildly spicy and super flavorful. I’ve also tried their Colombian cheese bread and arepas and they were good too. I love coffee and this is definitely up there as some of the best coffee I’ve had in a long time.

After a random search for nearby stuff last night, I found reviews for Quimbaya. My boyfriend and I tried to stop by last night for a drink, given reviews elsewhere from a couple of years ago listed the opening times for Saturday until 9pm. Sadly, that seems to have changed, and they had closed earlier in the evening(7pm, every evening). We did not let that stop us, and went back this morning for some breakfast. The hot chocolate had gotten raves in other reviews, so we both went for one of those: a Creamy Espresso, being Espresso with Hot Chocolate. It was delicious. One of the nicest things about it is that it isn’t super sweet, which makes a nice change from the hot sweetened drinks you get elsewhere that almost make your teeth ache, and ruin any flavor that might have been contained within. We each also had a very tasty ham and cheese croissant and a churro. I didn’t see many other pastries on display, no tres leches cake mentioned in another review, but maybe those are available later, after the breakfast crowd has passed. There were numerous breakfast options available though: croissants with various fillings/toppings, apple turnovers, some cookies and such. 2 large creamy espressos, 2 ham and cheese croissants and 2 churros came to $ 17-and-change with tax. Tasty, and I’ll certainly be back, especially considering it’s only a short walk to get there, and there were other coffees and hot chocolates I’d like to try. The décor is bright and cheerful and there are tables as well as a bar with stools facing the window to sit at. Oh, don’t forget your cash, as they don’t accept credit or debit cards.

Love Quimbaya! Fresh cheese bread comes out of the oven every morning at 7:00. The empanadas are excellent! Any of the hot chocolates, the ice coffee, and the ginger coffee with milk — these are my favorite things. But Quimbaya also makes lots of sandwiches, fresh fruit juices, ice cream, etc. I love stopping by and having a cup of ginger coffee in an actual coffee cup instead of a paper cup. Although, of course, you can have it to go if you want.

Quimbaya coffee is delicious. At the café, I get a café con leche. I also buy the organic beans and drink it at home. Also fabulous is the tres leches cake. It’s pound cake that has been ‘steeped’ in three kinds of milk(sweetened condensed, heavy cream and ?? not sure about the third one). The piece is about 3 inches square and is so rich and sweet, you’ve gotta share it with someone. They also have a big round slightly dry and mildly sweet rice cookie(not sure of its Spanish name). It tastes like one of the Italian-type cookies that you’d drink with coffee. It’s huge and costs $ 1. I love this café for these reasons: It’s simple, friendly and high-quality. It is NOT pretentious, expensive or precious I don’t understand when I did a Unilocal search for coffee at the Ossining train station, Quimbaya wasn’t found; nothing was found, actually. I’m new to Unilocal so maybe I did it wrong.

Not really a coffee person, but I am loving the renovations. I had this type of dessert which was pretty cool but please don’t ask me the name.

Quimbaya’s, a Colombian coffee house, is another establishment that contributes to Ossining’s(especially the village proper) diversity while maintaining quality of the products offered. I had read good reviews on Chowhound, so was excited to try one of their dozens of flavors of special hot chocolate.(They offer many coffee drinks as well, but I’ll take my caffeine in chocolate form, thank you very much). C had, as recommended by the lovely lady at the counter, the president’s special, and I had the decadent chocolate. We shared two pastries, one that appeared to be a kind of chocolate croissant and the other a cream cheese filled creation. I also got an empanada to go. The hot chocolates were steaming hot and made fresh to order, and rich and complex in flavor. The president’s special is the way to go, I think, with cinnamon deepening the flavor of the chocolate. The pastries were unbelievably moist and perfectly sweet. All our goodies totaled only $ 9 and change. Update: I have been back several times, and the quality of everything is consistently excellent. ALL the pastries are delicious, both savory and sweet. Update again: OHMYGOD, TRYTHECARAMELPASTRY! Update again: Fresh juices are wonderful. Stop in on your way to the farmers’ market.
