The atmosphere is nice, the music is sometimes good(though not always), and the owner(unlike a mainstream coffee shop) actually works in his shop. This is wonderful little place, the paintings and the décor don’t seem forced like other alternative coffee shops. It’s like a second home. If you want a nice coffee, a comfortable chair and a good place to read — if you want to support real businesses owned by real people and not by some group of billionaire speculators a thousand miles away — this is the place to be.

The coffee is really good here and I’d like to even say that I enjoyed it more than Starbucks. The establishment is clean, has plenty of areas to sit and plug in devices, and even has couches. My only complaint is that the service is really slow. I sat down and as I enjoyed my drink I watched a customer walk in and wait about 5 minutes before being acknowledged by the person behind the counter, who was not busy at all. Definitely got irritated for that customer but they seem to have a lot of patience here in Florida.

I previously was a Starbucks Fan, but we have a Barnie’s Express closer to where we live now.. . i’m now a Barnie’s ADDICT. What as HUGE difference from Starbucks.. . smooth flavors, no long lines, cheaper, and it gives the feel a real neighborhood coffee shop. Love IT!

Always a hit. Staff is friendly not matter what time of day. Their breakfast sandwiches on croissants with eggs and sausage are REALLYGOOD. They take about 5 minutes to make but its worth the wait. Go! You will love it.

While I love, love the location and having an alternate to Starbucks it’s just not a slam dunk for me. More like an air ball… close, just not close enough. Service is lacking and on more than one occasion one of the two workers left in the middle of morning rush. One time that sticks out was when a worker left another at the register while he went to McDonalds. There were at least 6 people in line. She had to run the register and do drinks/food. We were there for over 50 minutes and he never returned. Not okay. Coffee is good, signature coffee drinks are partially premixed and sometimes inaccurately prepared. Bakery items are not always the freshest. However, I don’t believe they’re made there anyway. I’d much rather go over to De Azúcar for in-house made pastry and baked goods.

Love this location, where I can have a change of scenery while I work. The coffee is great and the staff is friendly. They could use a few more tables, especially those with electrical outlets, and the overhead music can be a bit loud. Either way, it’s a better option than Starbucks on many fronts.

When my wife and I moved to Oviedo 5 years ago, we were so happy to find there is a Barnie’s coffee right around the corner from our neighborhood. We often walk our dog to Barnie’s on Saturday mornings and enjoy a delicious latte or freezer. The coffee is tasty and the staff is incredibly friendly, particularly the manager. He even ordered a specific flavoring that was phased out due to lack of popularity because I kept bugging him about it! Gotta have my cinnamon roll latte! If you live in Oviedo, don’t pass up Barnie’s! It is a pleasant alternative to the«other place.»

Oh how I miss Barnie’s Coffees. Before there was Starbucks on every corner, there was this chain and it was my go to every morning before work when I worked retail. Slowly but surely, they were all replaced and no mall in Orlando has a Barnie’s, but this little gem tucked in Oviedo off 419 is a perfect fix for me when I’m near my mom’s house, going to my optometrist, or am just sick of Starbucks. Around the holidays I’m always there for a pound of Santa’s White Christmas, a tradition for Christmas day breakfast. The staff at this location is always incredibly friendly, helpful and happily remake your drink if you try something new and it’s just not what you expected. My ulcer hates my coffee addiction, but my heart hopes Barnie’s not only sticks around, but makes a huge comeback!

This Barnie’s has the most amazing coffee. I can’t get over how good it is… I savor each sip, seriously, and hate when I finish my cup. I don’t feel so enthusiastic about Starbucks or Dunkin but I am really impressed with the fresh, strong coffee I have always received at this place. The guy I always see in there, I’m assuming manager?, is very polite and quick. He talked me into a caramel macchiato and it is the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. The music is nice, it is not too crowded or loud. There are not a whole lot of seats inside but plenty for the amount of people that I’ve seen in there.

Being one of the few Barnies around, I’m glad I live close by. I like the coffee, the owner whom is always attentive and gracious and the idea that the place is anything but trendy; manages to have almost an «old coffee shop» feel to it. It complements the plaza it’s located in.

Barnie’s Barnie’s Barnie’s! I have to completely agree with Elizabeth F. review on this one. The manager is great and so is the staff! I pick up my monthly supply of Santa’s White Christmas Beans from here and they are fresh. This location has a nice laid back atmosphere that makes you want to sit down and enjoy a great cup of coffee. They also have a lighted board behind the counter with new flavored lattes to try and so far they have all been good! I would definitely recommend this location, and don’t forget to try the Santa’s White Christmas Latte no matter the time of year!

Yes, I’m Unilocaling about Barnie’s! Specifically the Oviedo location! It’s hard enough to find a Barnie’s around with Starbucks taking over the world(no hate towards them — I love my Starbucks!) but I absolutely love this Barnie’s. Their staff is ALWAYS really nice, excited to be there, and usually quick with service. Their manager is one of the nicest people I have ever encountered in a coffee shop. Not only do they have great service and coffee, but I LOVE the atmosphere there. It’s not usually packed like Starbucks, they always have really awesome music on, and is in general just a nice place to relax, get away, or hang out with friends.
