Fresco II on the Marina

Had the scallop appetizer, the sauce was amazing! The owner came to our table recommended a off the menu grilled salmon, with vodka cream sauce and capers, best ever. My girlfriend had the sea bass with grilled veggies all was over the top good. Great atmosphere and live music! Can’t go wrong here.

Cold Tasteless Food That too Way to Long to Prepare in a Dark Dingy Environment.
No wonder the place was not busy with customers. Almost 1 Hour waiting for a Sandwich and Cold French Fries.

This is a wonderful great place to go, the atmosphere is phenomenal. The staff is very caring an attentive to their customers they pay attention to who you are and what you like. I am always treated like family i just love it.

Exceptional place! First of all Leeana is an incredible bartender and gives you the most welcoming vibe while making you the best drinks and recommending food (p.s. Everything is amazing) a high class setting with a feeling of being with «family» gorgeous setting by the water. If you are near the area I highly recommend coming here. The owners are wonderful and that clearly shows because of how this restaurant/​bar is ran. ENJOY! & DO NOT MISS OUT ON COMING HERE!

This is definitely the place to be if you’re at the Harbor great food great service and great music. Don’t miss out on this it’s a five star excellent restaurant.

Been going there since they opened. My wife and I keep our boat there and can walk there in about two minutes. Great food, great service, great attitude from everyone. My only gripe, since dinner last night, is turn the freaking live music down! I can’t sit in the bar and have to tell to have a conversation with my wife.

First of all, service was fine and the seating at the tables is very comfortable. Great location and ok outdoor patio.
The reason for 2 stars is the food. I have eaten there 3 times now and the flavor is hit and miss. The sauce they smother everything in is not very good, basically plain, thick tomato sauce. The pizza is flavorless, doughy pizza like most other pizzas in Oxnard. The pasta dishes would be much better if they actually used fresh herbs and less sauce. The prices for the quality of food is about 30% higher than it should be.
The staff was great, very friendly and welcoming! Great location but the patio seemed like an after thought.

We had their special of lobster and filet mignon. It was perfection! We always love going back there the waitress knows exactly how we like things how we like the bread with butter instead of the sauce that comes with it and how we like our drinks and everything she’s awesome. Will be back in a week or so

Worst experience ever! Went out to celebrate my girls birthday and everything was going good until our waiter who seemed so sweet stole our money our bill was $ 37 and we gave her a $ 50 when we asked her for our change she went to go hide from us l. The whole night she never showed up. I asked for the manager 3 times and another girl at the bar kept saying they are going to take care of it. They never did. I know 13 $ ain’t much but you just don’t do that. Never going back the waiter Denise who stole our money just really threw us off because she was really sweet to us at first… Really really disappointed…

We were looking for a casual, classy restaurant the whole family could enjoy in Ventura county and came across Fresco II on the Marina. The food was unique, flavorful and reasonably priced. While they weren’t that busy the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. The live entertainment was an enjoyable added touch.
Overall the food, service, drink and live entertainment were diverse enough to satisfy a wide age and palate range.

Went to Fresco II brunch today for my birthday and they have the best Bloody Mary’s! We loved the view of the harbor and the eggplant pizza was the best! The service was great and a great place for a Sunday Brunch!

Fresco is a great spot to watch football. The happy hour prices are very hard to beat when it comes to beer. There are maybe 8 – 10 large tvs playing various games. My favorite dish is the chicken marsala. It’s the best I’ve ever had.

This restaurant was fantastic! The restaurant itself is beautiful and situated right on the marina. The live music, staff and food were all top notch. The bread is delicious and the menu items are fairly priced for the portions they serve. I ordered the pine nut crusted chicken with feta cheese and it was great. My boyfriend had the lasagna and his father had a specialty pizza. All of which were delicious as we all tried eachothers food. The only thing that was a little below fantastic was the lasagna sauce. I’m sure sauce is preference but just was a little thinner than we prefer. However, everything else was wonderful and I can’t wait to take our friends there to share the experience again. We did a family dinner there, but the place looks great for a night out with cocktails.

Overpriced for average food and service! We came in on a Saturday night and it wasn’t busy. The live music, however, was very nice! Also, the décor is stunning: an absolutely beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t match up.
Fresco TBG pizza: 4/​5, it was actually pretty good! The best thing I had that night. The crust was crispy and the cheese was delicious! Only note is that it was very oily. But other than that, it is probably the best thing on the menu.
Greek chicken: 3/​5, very average dish. The chicken was cooked well, but the flavor was just not there. The mashed potatoes were just okay.
Angel Hair Pasta: 3/​5, again a very average dish. The pasta was cooked okay, but there was not much flavor.
Chocolate mousse cake: 1/​5, the cake was dry (tasted like the store-​bought cakes you can just microwave), and the mousse was not very sweet. Not a good dessert at all!
**also, $ 2 to make something «spicy?» Seriously? Just order the dish and ask for crushed red peppers! Crushed red peppers are free!
Service: 3/​5, again very average service. Our server was very sweet but nothing spectacular.
Overall, this is a beautifully decorated restaurant with extremely, overpriced food and average service.

We went there for dinner with friends and they weren’t there yet so 5 girls at the hostess desk asked us to go to the bar and wait and didn’t even escort us and if they did they would see there was no where to sit because all the tables had reservation signs on them. We went back to the front and they could care less about the situation as they were too busy putting on makeup and chatting. Does it take 5 girls to seat people? We were finally seated with a view of the trash cans on the patio. Really? It was really hot and we were told the air conditioner doesn’t work. The only saving grace was my husbands pork chop was good and they brought a delicious cannoli platter for our friends anniversary. My chicken avocado was ok. I really wanted to like this place.

Didn’t know they had breakfast until I came by the area to go to a different restaurant for breakfast on a Sunday morning. I’ve always loved the food here midday… service can be a little on the slow side but they are always very accommodating with my food allergies so I don’t mind.
This morning I was able to get bottomless mimosas for $ 10 with my entrée, of which I had the Greek omelette. I will definitely be coming back here for more meals all day long!
They also have a wicked happy hour so you don’t want to miss out. Outside marina seating seals the deal.

Sorry, Fresco, you’re getting docked a couple stars.
When our bill came after lunch today, my friend thought it seemed a little high. We often order the same things, so we know what the bill should have been. As we left, my friend mentioned to the hostess that we were charged more for our meals than the prices on the menu. The hostess told us that they were «working on getting new menus» but that everything was $ 1 more than the menu states.
Umm, NO. This is unacceptable. I would even argue, illegal. You can’t charge more than the price on the menu! This is deceptive and unethical.
Shame on you, Fresco. We won’t be back.

If it was up to my mom she would only eat at Mimi’s Café so I introduced her to Fresco’s during Valentine’s Day. I decided to bring her back here because she is extremely impressed by the location and she likes their food. So we got out of church early and that allowed me to call and make a reservation for 11am with no problems. Once we arrived they seated us right away and we had an awesome view of the harbor.
The only complaint people had was that they only had a special Mother’s Day menu with limited selections. Everything was $ 30 for adults and $ 15 for children. It didn’t bother me because I thought they had a wide variety of selections and it also came with fruit, bread and unlimited champagne (mimosas).
I was torn between the Benedict or the seafood pasta but decided to go with the Eggs Benedict. My brother had the seafood pasta and I have to admit that it was much better than my Benedict. Mine wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t as good as the pasta, especially for $ 30.
Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food and my mom had a wonderful time. Our serves were amazing and they provided us with top notch service.
This is my third time here and of course I’ll be back. This is my mom’s spot and I couldn’t be happier that it’s not boring old Mimi’s lol

QUICK LUNCH??? That’s what we were HOPING for, on an early afternoon, one GLORIOUS sunny weekday in Oxnard :) Not too busy @ 1pm-​ish, so we thought we could swing getting outta here under an hour. Friendly greetings upon entering and we were seated promptly. Lunch menu has pizza, sammies, salads, and pastas. Let’s pick something fast…
*ANGEL HAIR PASTA: An «express lunch item» from the Mediterranean Creations section that I added grilled chicken to. Fresh tomatoes, sweet basil, fresh garlic, and olive oil were the other ingredients. I switched out the feta cheese for Parmesan cheese. This came out looking more like a soup dish rather than pasta, as the dish was swimming in a broth rather than a sauce. Am I supposed to have a soup spoon with this, too? Nothing to rave about, and for the price, I don’t think it was worth it. I have definitely had better pasta creations elsewhere in Oxnard. Or was it a soup dish???
*LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE: This pasta dish also came as a broth/​soup rather than in a sauce. Nice quantity of baby clams in a shell. So, if clams are all you need to make you happy, this is your place. Wifey wasn’t impressed with the taste and I wasn’t blown away by the look of soupy pasta, sadly.
Food quality was Eh at best. And service wasn’t so attentive during our visit as well. Our drink glasses sat empty for most of the time. When we asked for the bill because we needed to leave to pick up the young squires, 10 minutes had past before the fear of stressed out munchkins put the groove in our butts to get up and look for our waitress. She responded with a, «Oh, yes! Here it is.» Ugh! We spent a good hour here. NOT a place for quick lunch rendezvous, but it sure has a nice view of new extension of the Oxnard Harbor. C’est la vie…
