I know this is Walmart but sometimes, you just wanna go get contacts without driving over the bridge to Costco. It’s the customer service that keeps me coming back, every time! I’ve been getting contacts and glasses here from when I was younger and I think it’s awesome they remember me. Who can forget this Unilocaler McYelperson? LOL: D Anyways, I bought 2 boxes of contact lenses on 11⁄9 and they’re pretty good about calling you when the order is delivered to their store(mind you, my vision is close to blind so they don’t have my prescription lens in stock). Two weeks pass and I call them to follow up and they let me know only 1 box came but not the other. They reminded me they will call me when I receive it. I think I called again a few days later and still no luck :( They gave me a call the following day to let me know that the company is backordered on my prescription lens(which is completely out of their hands) and offered to give me trial contact lens while I waited on my order. How amazing is that?! Very accommodating and they didn’t have to do that but they did which I am grateful for :) I picked up my samples and it helped so much because my glasses gave me headaches and I needed contact lens to wear with my loupes for clinic. They gave me a call today 11⁄25 that my contact lens boxes have arrived and ready for pick up. I picked those babies up along with thanksgiving food prep items in Walmart so it’s like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone(or maybe 2 turkeys with 1 stone haha). So this is what I’m truly thankful for this Thanksgiving: Walmart’s National Vision Center for being considerate and on top of their contact lens game: D

They REFUSED to give us our PD reading after paying for an exam. That’s short for«pupil distance» I think. They only want you to buy their eyewear. They told us to search the internet to find out how to measure it ourself. I want to report that Doc!!! Maybe we want to purchase them somewhere else where they actually have better looking frames. We paid for a full exam. Wtf? They’re rude about it too.

Terrible customer service. Went in for new glasses because I lost mine. The two girls totally ignored me. When I asked for help they gave me an attitude, told me to wait and helped another person that came in after me so I left! Never again!

I really do try to like Walmart… they just make it so hard sometimes. I usually buy my contacts at Costco… they have always been good to me but Costco’s hours are a little different so I decided to try shopping for my contacts here at the Walmart Vision Center. First off I had an issue because my eye doctor that I have been seeing for a decade now writes my prescriptions for 2 years because my prescription has not changed in years. For some odd reason Walmart does not like that and seems to think that prescriptions can only be for a year at a time. At least the girl I talked to did. That really sucks because it seems like their prices on my Acuvue Oasys soft contacts might be a little cheaper here. But even if I could get them here this store is still inside the Oxnard Walmart. If you have ever been to the Oxnard Walmart you know how horrible the parking lot is and how bad the whole experience can be. I will continue my contact buying at Costco. :0)
