This is the worst Denny’s I’ve ever been to. First off, we were seated at a dirty booth. I had to wipe crumbs off the seat. Next, the water itself tasted strange-I’m from the area, but this was unpleasant tap water. The lemon wedge didn’t help. Then, my husband and I ordered a skillet each-I’ve gotten the same dish at the Horseheads location(and love it). My husband asked for fried eggs on his. A minute later, a woman in sweats came up to the table and demanded to know if he knew that, to the kitchen, a fried egg means a cooked, broken yolk. We clarified, but she just seemed angry. Both of our dishes arrived promptly, but tasted… well, tasteless. How food that sodium-laden needed salt, I’ll never know. I asked for extra jalapeño peppers, which I didn’t receive. We both had to add salt and pepper, which did little to help. By far, the most bland, unsatisfying food to ever come out of a Denny’s(think about that). Finally, it turns out that I may have gotten a mild case of food poisoning from our meal. Low-grade fever, bathroom trips, the works. Luckily, I only ate half of my plate and the issue resolved itself by the next day. This location has gone downhill in the last few years. Do yourself a favor, check out the Bob Evans a few miles away or hit up the Horseheads Denny’s.

Not bad. I got the invisible woman slam from the fantastic four promotional menu. It was cooked to order and came with fresh fruit on top of the pancakes. Came early in the morning so very few customers. Friendly staff. Fun meal.

Over and over we have gave this location chances since we moved here two years ago. We have tried really hard to find a reason to like them but we just can’t. The manager and one of the asst managers are very nice and so is many of the staff. But be warned if you go there at the wrong time when it seems like this one shift leader is working then you will not have a good time. You can try and talk to her till your blue in the face but nomatter what it will always take a back seat to whatever personal drama she might be talking about while walking around barking orders at the staff while she’s trying to find a corner to hide in and wipe trays while customers are having a hard time. After about twenty visits we will never return again! We have talked to the management and they don’t seem to concerned by her lack of customer service!

3 stars, A-OK, if you like high calorie, high cholesterol food once in a while. Don’t make it habit or you’ll blow up like a balloon. We went for lunch. Two staff members set up tables for our group of six, then one of them walked past us and pointed out the tables and said we could go ahead and sit down. Very informal! Nice young man waited on us, but we had to remind him several times to bring coffee and refills on water. I had(I’m admitting to my transgression, so don’t pick on me!) the NEW(so the menu said) Peanut Butter Cup Pancake Breakfast. OMG! Here’s how the menu describes it, and it’s exactly what I got as you can see from my pics… Chocolate Chips and White Chocolate Chips in 2 buttermilk pancakes, topped with hot fudge and drizzled with peanut butter sauce. Served with(on a second large plate!) 2 eggs and hash browns, plus your choice of two strips of bacon or 2 sausage links and a side of warm syrup, all for $ 7.29! I couldn’t eat it all. It was so much food that someone else and I could have shared it. But, it was really good!

This place is better than the other Denny’s in Elmira, by far. Our waiter was very tolerant and helpful. The food was DELICIOUS(maybe it tasted extra good thanks to my hangover) and came out on time. I’ll go again!

When you go to Denny’s, you expect a few things, right? The tables may very well be sticky, you won’t get the best quality food, and you don’t expect your wallet to be busted after a meal here. All of those expectations held true at this 24 hour establishment right off I-86. I was kind of surprised that the food took as long as it did to be served. A sign at the front advertised new, seasonal gingerbread french toast, but it sucked that they were out of everything gingerbread. The cranberry orange pancakes(orange juice used in the recipe instead of water) were a satisfactory substitute though. I’m ok with a pit stop here every now and again(even if I am sober), especially since I was famished!
