Omg. One of the best burger places I’ve ever been to. The house-made veggie burger is amazing. So full of flavor. And the make your own is such a good deal as the toppings are endless! I topped mine with spicy jack cheese, mixed greens, roasted tomatoes, jalapeños, grilled pineapple, and crispy onion straws. I got a «sauce flight» including sweet siracha, garlic aioli, and Cabernet mustard. My partner went for the BBQ burger topped with cheddar, bacon, and crispy onion straws. We finished with an «adult» Thin Mint milkshake which featured baileys and mint liqueur. Everything was delicious! We’ll definitely be back.

One word: amazing. Service was fantastic. Kids meal came out quick. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating; not easy given our allergy restrictions. The veggie skewers, fried pickles and the turkey burgers were out of this world! Order them. We’ll definitely be back soon.

The burgers tasted great. Brioche bread definitely! Good beer selection also.

4 stars seems legit for this place. From service to food. Maybe a touch expensive if you’re building a sky high burger. But sometimes it’s totally worth the splurge. Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit and will be back for another. I always have my eye on a burger joint. I wasn’t disappointed.

First visit to the counter and I really liked the design of the interior space. It was a considerable departure from the look of the Ruby Tuesday’s that used to inhabit this same unit here at the Gardens Mall. We were seated by the young lady who would also be our server. Her name was Kris/Chris(not sure on spelling) She was very polite, quick with our service and had a great attitude. She is the kind of server you want every time you go out to eat. She anticipated our needs. If you have not eaten here, the concept is build your own burger, although there are many pre-built options. I ordered a burger that sounded really good the backyard bbq burger. I didn’t read the entire description because the burger didn’t have a bun, it was a salad burger. Happy accident because it was really tasty and cooked perfectly. Speaking of which make sure you read the temp chart because their rare is a bit colder and pinker, mine was cooked perfectly, than most people go for in a burger. My daughter built her own burger which she enjoyed filling out the form in the back of the menu to decide what you will have. She really like the pretzel bun on her burger and the shoestring fries. We also had an order of the chili cheese fries. They were tasty, although the chili meat did seem a tad dry. The large order is plenty for two people as an appetizer and was just $ 5 during happy hour. They also have a full bar and outdoor seating. I will certainly eat here again.

Enjoyed the meal and the outdoor seating. Service slower than necessary but they’re under new management so will give them a pass this time Especially enjoyed the adult shakes — don’t find that too often.

Like some of the previous reviews, the service is slow(and they were not really busy), and the food is average. I got the grilled cheese and they didn’t clean the grill before it was made so the bread didn’t taste very good and didn’t grill evenly. My husband got a burger and it was good, but not outstanding. We expected a little more for a $ 10 burger. We really enjoyed the milkshake and the onion strings and sweet potato fries. We will give it another try, but probably not soon.

Really good food for a quick bite at the bar. Wouldn’t suggest siting down u bless you’ve got lots of patience for mediocre servers. Place could be a 5⁄5 but they need some leadership and better staff.

I just ate here for the first time and while there are many burger bars that claim to be special(and are really just average at best), this place was truly amazing! I had the best burger of my life at this place. I don’t eat bread so I got my burger on a salad and it was beyond delicious! Fantastic service, clean environment(and bathrooms) and even better food! Will be coming back often for sure.

Wow. Probably the worst service possible. They don’t serve at all. They come to you every 20 minutes. They mess up ur order and don’t even bring you water after you asked for it. Food was ok after it finally came out.

Service and Timing– We got here at 11:15. Ordered fries and deviled eggs as a starter. The fries took 20 mins to come out. And some how they didn’t have deviled eggs(yet, I ordered an egg on my burger). The fries were not hot, and were sent back. I also ordered jalapeños on my burger, which come to find out, they don’t have those either. It is now 12:21 and I still have yet to receive our food. However a table next to us came in 30 mins after us, and received there food already.(We are a table of 2 and they are a table of 3). I would speak about the food; however, I haven’t received it yet. And in all fairness, I made my own burger. So if it doesn’t taste good, it is my own fault. Food– The fries and onion rings are good. Burger– wouldn’t know yet. It’s 12:30– we are walking out.

The counter was definitely worth the one and only experience I had. It’s a neat place… you literally get to customize your burger to your liking. The options they give you, however, are really adventurous but delicious. The service was pretty slow and the restaurant was not even busy it was just us and two other tables. The main complaint is that it is really expensive for what it is. Your custom burger can turn out to be $ 30 if you keep checking items.

My first time here and I have eaten my share of burgers and by far the best burger ever. I love brass ring but without a doubt hands down blows away them. My server Selena the sweetest and great server. So go in and ask for Selena. Took the whole family and everyone loved it

My wife and I have been waiting for what has seemed like years for The Counter to open up since Ruby Tuesday closed down a while back. Now that we’ve had our first meal there, I have to say it was worth the wait. This is MY kind of burger place. First off, the ingredients are top notch. Hand made, really flavorful and fresh. Prices, all things considered, are pretty reasonable. It’s not super cheap a la Five Guys, but far from crazy expensive either. 10 bucks for a Build Your Own Burger, which includes one sauce, cheese, and a crazy number of free toppings. And not just your garden variety of lettuce, onion and sliced tomato either. Folks you get far more than what you pay for here. There are other Build Your Own Burger places out there but this place blows them out of the water. I put black bean and corn salad, marinated artichokes and spicy dill chips on mine, for starters. I grossed out my family because I think I chose like a dozen free toppings and the staff laughed so much they seemed in awe of my ung-dly creatiion and asked to put it on their Unilocal page(so it should be somewhere around here). And it was AWESOME! I couldn’t even put the thing in my mouth, I had no idea where to begin. It was soooooo yummy. The best thing I can say is you can go here and never have the same dinner twice. As much as I put on my burger I probably selected less than half of the toppings they offered, I didn’t even need to try their premium toppings(this time) like homemade guacamole or a fried egg. You really can create almost every type of burger. I made mine a bison burger for only 4 bucks more(Bison burgers are hard to find and usually crazy expensive). Beyond the food itself, I was impressed with the décor(something I never pay attention to) and the service. If you’ve been in this space when it as Ruby Tuesday you won’t recognize it. It’s smaller but very open and inviting. I have to give big props to our server for tolerating our daughter during her colossal meltdown(because of course she wanted her own adult sized Build Your Own Burger). He was very nice to her offering to take her order several times and helping modify her kids burger when she finally did order. He recommended the garlic Parmesan fries and they did not disappoint, We also got to spend 10 minutes or so talking to the GM. He checked on us and explained a lot about the restaurant to us. I’m sure he’s trying harder than normal because they are such a new restaurant but it seemed very genuine to me. Good customer service is so important and it’s clear they get that. My wife mentioned to him she was kicking off her birthday weekend and he brought Birthday Cake shakes for the whole table free of charge. I’m not a Birthday cake flavored guy, but these shakes were not too sweet. And they have adult(aka with alcohol) shakes that I need to try next time. So long story short, if you need to get your burger fix, I highly recommend the Counter.

I had dinner tonight at The Counter and loved it. Food was delicious — I had a salad with a 1⁄3 pound burger done perfectly and served very quickly. My server Greg made good suggestions– you have to try the garlic aioli and the lemon dressing is wonderful. Tiffany the manager came over, introduced herself and asked for my feedback. I couldn’t find enough superlatives. The piece de resistance was the strawberry banana shake I took with me. Yummmmy. I’ll be back.

Incredibly friendly restaurant. As a new store there are some training wheels that need to come off but all in all my experience here has been incredible. The staff has been incredibly helpful in recommendations and knowing what to order when in a rush. I was very impressed with the management staff. They came around and asked us how we were doing and even put in their own opinion on what their favorite foods and drinks were. I ordered a drink that didn’t turn out well and they immediately replaced it and took it off my bill. By far one of the best places to eat in this mall!

Food was great and decently priced. I had a burger salad bowl which was new to me, and I’ll definitely be ordering that again. The staff was very friendly, they seemed to be a little lost floating around most of the time but it’s probably normal considering is a whole new team of staff.

Good food, unfortunately price was too high! Service was good, friendly people… Cool atmosphere. Tons of potential, but they have to lower their price. Party of 3, 1 app, 2 burgers and tap water was 36.00 $ without tip. 3 $ for fries that were the size of a small McDonald’s. I hope they get the message… I don’t see this place making it unless they lower the price points.

We started with the fried pickles based on seeing a review. The apricot sauce was great but the pickles because of their batter, make them a little dry. And you feel thirsty after each one. We split the ½ pound Bacon Barbecue2 with a side of fries. The burger was good but with the price point, they should come with fries. Service was great! Not sure if we would be back… We had recently eaten at Relish and like it better. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly because the price point is 20% higher than it should be.

I was lucky enough to eat at the bar during their friends and family pre-opening event. The atmosphere is fun and the setup is pretty modern. The food menu is pages(and pages) long with a variety of selections. My bartender, Vanessa, was friendly, attentive and always smiling. First, to start, I tried their version of fried pickles. It was served with a side of this apricot sauce that was probably the best surprise. It was delicious and the two paired perfectly together. Next, ordered a milkshake. I didn’t want anything too crazy(they had some pretty impressive selections) so I created my own strawberry banana shake. It was pretty delicious and definitely was a great match for my burger. Now my burger was something I also created but tried to make it as strange as possible to see how the taste would be. It was a medium well 1⁄3 lb beef patty with pepper jack cheese, grilled pineapples, marinated artichokes, sautéed mushrooms, topped with that awesome apricot sauce I mentioned earlier, all on top of a multi grain bun. It… Was… Delicious! I ordered it with a side of crispy onion rings and the whole combination couldn’t have been better. Overall, this place was definitely a hit in my books. If you’re searching for a great burger place with lots of yummy selections to choose from, The Counter is it. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
