Lovely restaurant !!! While staying at the resort we didn’t want to go far for dinner so we decided to try this restaurant. It was absolutely a great discovery!!! Our waiter was so friendly and nice !! The food was UNBELIEVABLE and we really want to say thank you to the chef!!! We had different appetizers(salmon was super and also the crab cake). Our main were lobster, salmon, huge prawns… Everything was so fresh and delish. We had a couple bottles of chianti Castello d’albola 2011. 91 points wine Spectator for an incredible discover !!! For only 36 $!!! This is a theft!!!

Overpriced, but nice ocean view. Food was good~ not fantastic. Wine list decently priced. Have been to much better restaurants in the area that was priced less. The bar ran out of MacCallen 15yr. Given that the cigar bar is steps away, you would think they’d bother to replace the bottle by the next evening.

A nice place right on the water. The salad was fresh and the red snapper was ok, as it was a bit overcooked I thought. Loved the service and the desert was a flourless chocolate cake which combined with the vanilla ice cream was just wonderful.

We ate at this place two days in a row while staying at Hammock Beach Resort. Dinner was spectacular and breakfast was even better! I highly recommend the macadamia nut French toast! I had dreams of if the next day! Prices are high but are expected at a resort.

Sadly disappointed. Our family was staying at the resort last week and decided to make this our last meal before heading home to celebrate a fun vacation. We called at 8:30 and they said they close at 10 and that a reservation was not currently required so I informed them that our party of 5 was on our way. When we arrived, more than half the restaurant was empty and they said they needed to reset a table for us. Not usually an issue, but we stood there for 5 minutes, with the hostess holding our menus, watching as the person slowly set the table. When we were seated, the waitress was prompt and courteous and took our order. My husband got his salad quickly but then 30 minutes went by before we saw any wait staff again. The restaurant cleared out except for us and one table and still no food… Finally what we assume was the manager rushed over apologized that it was taking to long because the garnish on my fish had to be remade! I asked him to please bring everyone else’s food as it was getting very late. They rushed out the food, which was not to the caliber at all expected. The steaks were dry and the potatoes looked like they had been sitting out all night. I took a bite of the small garnish of spinach citrus salad on my Mahi and it was inedible, it tasted like it had been brined in warm salt water. I told my husband not to eat his. But that taste was even on his Mahi. He asked the waitress for another plate without the salad on the fish. She rushed to the kitchen but he watched us all eat and then my parents and son were back in the room before he ever got his food. When he did, it was not Mahi. Some other fish and he did not have everything on the plate from the special he ordered. We NEVER saw the manager again. Not for an apology, not to make sure everything was okay. The waitress took my husbands meal off the bill, but it was just all so disappointing. When you pay that kind of money for a dinner at a resort, you just expect more.

Just ate here for lunch, and it was quite good. It’s a big resort/golf course restaurant, so I was expecting the worst. However, the service was excellent, the food was not unusual but all was fresh, well/prepared and hot(or chilled in the case of the salads). Nice view, of course, small but decent wine list, and an overall nice, no stress place. I’d certainly come back.

I enjoyed the strobe lights and thumping, repetitive beat until I realized it was the fire alarm. Twice. To top it all off, they do not accept American currency for payment. Seriously, they refused to accept cash for our bill.

One of our favorite oceanfront restaurants. Reservations are an absolute must as it’s almost always booked. This is a restaurant on the same property as the Hammock Beach Resort — a hotel /condo complex with golf, a pool, etc — so expect to see a variety of groups here from golfers to families to business diners. But reservations are open to the public. They have a special menu for club members, and a regular menu as well. They always have a fresh fish selection — almost always caught locally. The Caleb bisque is outstanding. They have a full bar and a decent wine list. Kid friendly because of the nearby hotel. Kid menu has standard kid choices. They also have a flexible chef and kitchen so you can adapt a dish if you have special needs or requirements. In the late spring and early summer the outdoor dining is great — you are directly on the ocean, on a bluff overlooking the sea. This complex is renovating and I’m told this restaurant will be torn down with the rest of this building and replaced with a new and even nicer facility — but the timeline for tear down is unknown. Better get here quick. Definitely order the crab bisque.

Went here last night with my husband. The view was great! However, the food was not. I ate about two bites of my lobster and shrimp pasta which was overloaded in creamy pasta sauce. It was way too rich and made it taste kind of gross. Nathan, our waiter took my plate and clearly knew I didn’t like it but didn’t even ask If I did or if anything was wrong with it, just took it away and charged me full price, which I could only assume was due to the fact that is is off season and not busy so he needed the check at full price. He was extremely nice for service and attentive. However, I couldn’t believe as a waiter he didn’t even acknowledge that I had not touched my pasta. The blue cheese martini was good but my husbands wine was kid of stale. He had chicken, which was nice but the cauliflower purée and mashed potatoes were a complete disappointment. Not a good mix and no flavor. For what we paid, it was definitely not worth it and next time we stay at Hammock Beach we will go elsewhere to eat. Bummer.

To start off, the view is to die for. My girlfriend and I went there for her birthday and as we were eating dinner we were able to see dolphins right off the shore. How is that for birthday surprise?!? The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly, presented himself well, but became scarce as the meal progressed. Refills Please! So onto the food. The dinner menu is very limited. I ordered the chicken($ 28), however they were out. I ended up getting the boneless ribs($ 32). These were very good, but the sides were only ok. They meals come stock with pre-determined sides and I wasn’t a huge fan of the mushroom purée that is came with. My girlfriend got the fish($ 36) and it was good, again, she wasn’t a huge fan of the sides. I ordered a beer with dinner and she got a diet coke, they took a while to come out, When my beer came out it was not very cold. I didn’t complain because I was thirsty. Regardless I had a few more beers during dinner and again those were also served not very cold. My girlfriend switched to mango mojitos($ 11). They were very good just a bit pricey. As an FYI, they do not allow men to wear hats during the dinner service. All in all it was good. We might be back again. The view is great, the food is good, the drinks were warm. And for $ 132 bill(before tip) I think we are going to try somewhere else.

Service was great! Matt was our waiter and he did a fantastic job. My husband had the fish special and I had the scallops. The food was fixed to perfection and so was the presentation. We ended with key lime pie which was beautifully presented with blackberries and whip cream. Some of the customers didn’t adhere to the dress code which took away somewhat of the elegance of the restaurant.

I ate here for lunch and breakfast while staying at Hammock Beach Resort. Lunch: Crab cake sandwich and sweet potatoes fries were yummy! I am a white sangria fan and I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was here. Server was helpful! Breakfast: The New Yorker sounded amazing but was kinda disappointed. Barely any hollandaise sauce so it was dry. The bagel was rubbery. The people I was with got the crescent sandwich, macadamia french toast and breakfast skillet. They all said it pretty good! I would do breakfast here again if I stayed at the Hammock Beach resort again. Service was slow for breakfast. Getting the drinks and checks were painfully long. We sat outside which was really nice with the ocean view! Hope this helps! xoxo –Sam

Food is ok… Breakfast service was ok… But, I got to warn you about Joice… Night bartender has a diva attitude bigger than the world. Crazy considering the bar had 3 customers and the restaurant was completely empty.

It’s a beautiful looking restaurant with a wonderful wine selection and great service… the beet salad was delicious but the entrees were not so impressive. The snapper was pretty bland. I would have given this three stars, except that I came down with food poisoning a couple of hours after eating here!

The Atlantic Ocean and golf course view here is so fantastic that it’s hard not to have a good time and enjoy the afternoon or evening. They have a real nice bar area as well as dining area which overlooks the crashing waves in the Atlantic Ocean. I have a good wine selection and good service.

Nice atmosphere and the service was decent, but the food was eh. The grouper and mahi we had were cooked nicely, but the sides were boring and lacked flavor and originality — two things I expect when paying well over $ 30 for fish. The one redeeming dish(and why this review is 3 stars instead of 2) is the share tuna martini appetizer. Do yourself a favor if you go to this restaurant: order a salad as your appetizer and this gorgeous tuna dish as your main course. There is plenty to make this a main course. Oh — and if you are not staying at the resort, you will want to know that the restaurant is upstairs Behind the golf club, maybe ¼ mile from the main resort entrance. There are no signs so it’s hard to find if you haven’t been before.

They have amazing fresh, local ingredients. The striped bass was deliciously prepared and buttery. I would ask for the lemon scented jasmine rice instead of the sweet potato purée. The purée was just a bit much with this delicate fish. The Chicken Roulade was great, but it was more like a Cordon Bleu, but with a spicy capicola instead of just ham. They have great indoor & outdoor seating & serve breakfast lunch & dinner. Carol(from Wisconsin) was super friendly & efficient as our bartender. This is an upscale dining experience, but not snooty. I’d at least suggest a collared shirt for the gentlemen & a skirt or nice resort wear for the ladies.

I just finished a nice meal at Atlantic Grille. Overall this restaurant is probably a 3.5. The hostess Annie was a hoot. Once we were seated though we had to grab Annie again to finally get a server to come over. We get a drink order taken and then another server comes over to take our meal order. Apparently the first one was going home. Our server Rob expressed no interest in taking care of us. He got the job done but was not friendly at all. So service was lousy. I ordered an $ 11 martini because it sounded cool(spicy) but it wasn’t spicy however it tasted nice. Even after I asked to make it have some heat the second time it still didn’t. The only reason I gave this restaurant four stars is because the food was universally delicious. Everyone loved their entrée. I had scallops and my friends had salmon and chicken. The salad with the strawberries was way too huge for an appetizer but it was absolutely delicious. Crème brûlée was average… good. I hear a lot of good things about this restaurant and it is good… but service definitely lacked on my first visit… but I would go back.

We wanted a casual restaurant while staying at Hammock Beach and my sister chose Atlantic Grille, which was quite the opposite of a casual dinner place. It is very formal and the maitre de I recognized from Ruth’s Chris in Jacksonville. It is not necessarily a kid friendly place, but they made it so by staging our tables in a less formal section of the dining room. Since my sister’s son is autistic and prone to get up and stand in the corner, this was perfect. Then menu had a very nice selection of seafood and some great pork and chicken dishes, with an extensive wine list. We chose a Château St. Michele Merlot and salads to start. The Caesar Salad was amazing, although not too plentiful. the house salad was large and according to my daughters, very good. The Lobster Bisque also got very high marks and came in a good size bowl. They also brought six kinds of bread with a unique dish with butter and olive oil. It was a really nice touch. When dinner came, conversation ceased. I had Flounder with potatoes and edamame succotash that was hands down the best I ever had. While the flounder was overwhelmed by the succotash, it was superbly prepared, flaky and moist, just not a lot of flavor. I was simply too full for desert, but the kids deserts that came with their kids meal got high marks. Dinner, with tip will run between $ 30 – 45 per person depending on appetizers and wine.
