Great local restaurant in Hammock. First visit we had the corvina fish with a healthy dose of appetizers and wine and on our second visit we went light with seafood gumbo, gator bites and a chicken wrap. Enjoyed both visits and a must go to place if you are in the area. Great attentive staff.

We have been passing JT’s on our way home from St Augustine for a few years and finally stopped. We will be stopping again and again. We had the shrimp steampot, more than enough for two people to share. The shrimp were fresh and large, 24 shrimp with corn on the cob(also fresh) sausage and potatoes. The service was friendly and efficient. Prices were reasonable. Also a plus for me, the tea was brewed and not from the soda fountain.

Great happy hour drink specials and amazing food! We covered everything from blackened chicken to soup to gator bites. Definitely recommend to anyone!

I have to update my review… I previously gave this restaurant a 5 star, but we had lunch here a few weeks ago and it wasn’t good. We had the fish tacos and asked for Mahi Mahi — we’ve done this before and had a beautiful piece of grilled fish accompany the wonderful sides. This time bits of overdone fried, bits of tasteless I assume crap came out. When I mentioned the mistake and how I had asked for Mahi… The waitress told me this is how they serve it. I know the lousy service, food and attitude isn’t normal for JT’s restaurant, but it was incredibly disappointing & we haven’t been back.

I have stopped here twice because it is near the family condo. Florida seafood doesn’t get better than this! This small little«shack» on the side of the road is SO good. The fish is fresh and local, and the service is always prompt and courteous. I can say there has not been a single thing wrong with either of the visits I have made. Will return without question.

Used to go here a lot but lately not so much. Quality of food and service is inconsistent though very friendly. The dinner prices have really gone up but the value is not there. Go for lunch. The lunch specials are a good value and JTs is usually less crowded at that time. At dinner the place is packed and gets very noisy. Too bad because we really used to love JTs.

You would think it would be easy to find great seafood in Florida. We were unimpressed until we came to JT’s. Staff and atmosphere are great.

This place is usually quite busy, but it is worth the wait. Interesting options like alligator tail and catfish in addition to the more traditional salmon and shrimp. There are burgers and vegetarian options for the non-seafood people in your group. The wait staff works very hard. Recommended if you’re in the area.

We went on Wednesday evening and there was still a 30 minute wait for a table. The place is very popular. But honestly there’s little else in the area. I got the fish of the day and it was pretty good – about what I’d expect for the price. Everyone in my group was happy with their food. We sat outside and the weather was nice. And we were glad we day outside because the inside of the restaurant smelled really bad. That smell would be the only complaint, and it barely affected us since we were outside.

Food was great ! service was excellent, loved the casual atmosphere, we stopped in for lunch today when we passed by on the bike trail in palm coast, … we are certainly going back soon and check out some of the specials and happy hour, the location is great too.

JTs is right down the street from me but I rarely go there. One time I got a cheeseburger, with melted cheese, and found bits of unmelted cheese stuck to a pickle slice. Think about it. Another time, My husband and I ordered crab cakes. He got round, flat crab cakes, like normal, and mine were like round balls(?). Tasted like freezer burn. I lost the dinner later. I don’t know. That was a couple years ago, so maybe they are better now. Not gonna try though.

Great service and hearty portions. Crab cake sandwich was best blackened in my opinion. Fish tacos were given a 6 out of 10 by my daughter who has sampled many. Portion size is excellent. A second mention for service which was also excellent.

Yummy food with so many choices!!! Nice for all types of moods. Has a nice sport like bar in the middle, a nice outdoor courtyard with live music on the weekend, and regular tables all around. Honestly, the food is top notch, not something you would expect from a place with Shack in its name. But really try it and you won’t stop going back. Ps I loved my almond coated Salmon with heartwarming risotto! The Steamed Shrimp with extra seasoning was some of the best I’ve had in a long while! So kick back, grab a glass of wine or beer, savor on delectable cuisine and listen to some good tunes…

We needed a place in Palm Coast to meet some family as a half way meeting point. I found the good reviews on Unilocal and reserved a table for 10. It was really great for a seafood shack. I love places like this. Good simple seafood, great beer selection and the service was friendly. Great experience and would go back if in the area!

Quite tasty and definitely local. We had the little neck clams and a shrimp pot. All were perfectly prepared and fresh or seemingly so. It’s a vibrant place – not quiet but certainly a place to take friends. Make sure to swing by on your way to or from the beach.

Florida, palm coast specifically, is my second home. I’ve been coming to JT’s for YEARS… not much has changed… and that’s a good thing! Great place for a casual dinner and drinks. Beachy, dive bar atmosphere with a lot of personality. Food is always good, as I said, I’ve been coming here for years and don’t have one bad experience to report. Being in florida you’d expect the best and freshest seafood — JT’s always delivers. Great go-to for a cold drink, great seafood, and southern hospitality.

I came here for dinner with my family and had an okay experience. The waitstaff is very friendly, nice and they follow up when appropriate. The food is just okay bar food, I was hoping for a little higher quality. I had the crab, mussels and shrimp boil and here are my thoughts… the crab was delicious, perfectly cooked and great seasonings. The mussels and shrimp were overcooked, tough and not very tasty. The sausage and potatoes were great with the seasonings but the corn was old and overcooked. My other chief complaint is that they didn’t serve this food with real drawn butter… not cool. It was fake butter like you’d put on your popcorn at the movies… ick!

I’m so glad we stopped here! I had the blackened fish wrap with cheddar wrap and fries. It was AMAZING! The fries are crispy, which I prefer. I liked them with their three pepper sauce. I would DEFINITELY recommend it. My husband’s shrimp was average. My daughter said her tuna sandwich was the best she’s ever had. :) We all shared fried banana cheesecake. OMG.

Came here for a second time two days later. I needed that fish wrap again. Still very good. Will be a staple each time I’m in town!
