This is the best bar in Palm Desert. All the locals hang out here and the service is absolutely the best! Come hang out here every weekend and don’t forget Karaōke Modays!!!

The best place to go for good times, great beers and food. It’s my cheers here in the valley. The owners and staff are the best people and the patrons are very friendly. Stop in and say hi and have a good time. Great music scene as well. Open jam night is on thurs.

We were regular lunch goers. So sorry to say since new owners & new cook we will never go again. Tried 2 or 3 times since changeover. Last time all 4 burgers were beyond recognition & fries were almost black for all orders. Waitress knew it was bad & saw her discussing with boss but he did nothing. Other patrons outside received their food & got up & left everything of course without paying. Sad to do business like this.

Came here to drink and hang out with friends. They had a $ 5 charge at the door. Live music which wasn’t my taste cuz it was like hard rock/punk? When there is a $ charge at the door, something better separate you from other venues, & the only thing that separates u from the other places is that u charge at the door. That’s not good.

This review should have 2 stars but, the restaurant owners got back another star for how nice they were. I attended an event here and received HORRIBLE service from one of the bartenders. I am not going to describe who because some people would know who it is right off the bat. He was so rude and would not take time to comprehend what customers are saying, especially when it has something to do with tabs, and being authorized on a tab. He was so ridiculous, I just completely gave up and paid for my drinks every time I ordered one. I have not returned to this restaurant/bar since this incident. This bar tender had such a bad attitude. I don’t understand how he could possibly earn any tips that aren’t out of pity. He treated me like I’m stupid when I explained to him my authorization to be on someone’s tab, I could not have explained the situation any easier. I simply told him, «I am authorized to use this persons tab.(The tab holder then looked at the bar tender for approval because the bar tender didn’t know what to do or who I was talking about when the person I was talking about and looked at him for approval was one of the event holders,) after that happened he stood there staring at me like I was a magic leopard in a tuxedo. The live bands are great and there is an ok amount of room to watch them perform. The owners were nice. Some people forget about the value of customer service. Perhaps they should of had a huddle about the fundamentals of customer service before a big event. Day after day, customer service travels further than a Facebook post or a flyer. The only way I return to even get a beer, is if I scan inside the restaurant from the front door and look to see if that bar tender is there, if he is; the establishment will not get my money.

First time here, we got here at 1130 right after they opened and had a restaurant gc. The service was awesome, really laid back and fun. I had the Bacon Bull with chips and it was delicious. Just a really good Burger, you could taste the fresh ingredients. We are already talking about our next visit.

I had a bad experience with using a coupon here, and wrote a bad review because the experience upset me. I was so impressed that the owner, Dennis, took my comment seriously. I would definitely try it again based on how Dennis reached out to me!

Decided to give this place another try, last time the service sucked. Nothing has changed, had to constantly try to get attention for a drink. You could stand there for like 20m politely to try and wait for a drink as the bartenders gossip with people at the bar with full drinks. Finally got my drink and then It’s almost feels like to much asking for a glass of water. I can’t believe only 2 people run this whole place, talk about cut backs. Whoever designed the bar was a genius, the bar is right next to the door, so everyone is trying to come in/leave/move music equipment/and get drinks all at the same time when it gets busy. Guaranteed bust every time, don’t even bother with this one.

Good spot! The food can be good considering everything is frozen and not fresh. Alcohol is alcohol and the prices are right. Pool tables, open mic nights, and live entertainment every week, and the absolute best selection of rotating tap beers you won’t find elsewhere!

Fun! We were looking for a fun place for some music on a Thursday night after a charity event. This place was reviewed in the Coachella Valley Weekly. It was Karaōke night.LOL. We had a blast, even if we couldn’t sing.

From 4−7pm they have«$ 3 for 3 hours» specials on drinks & food. They make sure there is plenty of alcohol in their well drinks(I had vodka/cranberry) and their appetizers(we had the onion rings, mac & cheese bites & pork sliders) were DELICIOUS! Wednesday nights they have an AMAZING band too that sings oldies music.

The burger was greasy and delicious. The fries were made from scratch. The beer selection was small, but brilliant. And Justin, who was tending bar, was a gentleman and a scholar. If I lived in town, I’d be a regular.

I was in this wonderful tavern on my last trip to Palm Desert. The D. Phillips Band hat their first gig ever and we enjoyed it very much. This 5 people ensemble is covering Motown/Blues/Rock/Reggae and Funk. So if you like a good range of beer and music go there on wednesdays to have a great time. I liked especially the drummer Doug. If I’m in Palm Desert, CA this is the place where i will go definitely.

This was a cool little spot. Came here after attending a block party with friends. I liked the vibe and atmosphere. Your classic neighborhood bar. Ordered nachos for the late night munchie crave and they were delish! Sat outside at around 10pm and it was a blast. There was a live musician playing that night, so my friends weren’t able to show me the jukebox they have inside that you can control with an app downloaded to your cellphone. How cool is that?

Justin = awesome bartender and certified cicerone with an exceptionally experienced palate matched with loads of knowledge Schmidy’s = awesome venue for a constantly changing draft list, regular live performances, quality bar food and epic beer tastings every Tuesday at 7 pm That’s really all you need to know, so make your way over here if you even remotely enjoy beer.

Looks like Schmidy’s has kicked it up a notch as far as their draft beer is concerned. I can’t begin to tell you how refreshing it is to see a place with ten beers on tap and none of them start with«Bud» or end with«Light.» Good luck finding that anywhere else in the Valley. To accompany my lunch today, I started with a Stone Double Bastard Ale, and finished with a Stone cask-conditioned Chipotle Smoked Porter. For food, I had the $ 5 lunch deal. I chose the chicken tenders, and could only eat two of the three due to their size. There was also a ½-pound burger on the special menu, along with a couple of other things that I can’t remember(did you see the beers I just drank???). Cheers!
