For the BEST, FRIENDLIEST, and ATTENTIVE service, you owe it to yourself to ask for POLLY. Phenomenal is truly an understatement.

Our waitress, Cassandra, did an excellent job… that was the extent of what was good. Our food took forever to come out of the kitchen. I ordered the Pepper Sirloin Steak and shrimp. The shrimp was over cooked and the steak was Denny’s quality, only more expensive. One of the other waitresses was bragging near our table about how hung-over she was. This comment was to one of the other waitresses. I have been to a lot of different Red Lobster restaurants. This is usually not the type of service from the chain.

Although I love red lobster’s food, I hate the service. I’m currently sitting in the bar, and I can hear the expoditer(a female) yell so loudly, to other employees, to stop eating food off the line, she needs a follow to table 31, cold food comes out before hot food. No wonder employees come to the bar to bad mouth and mimic her. I guess they don’t realize guests are watching. My goodness, so unprofessional. Management should realize the closeness of the kitchen to its guests and try to be quiet, especially on a quiet Monday evening.

The worst experience I have had in the desert, for that matter any restaurant. Let me start by saying that there are some excellent steak and seafood restaurants in the desert, granted they can be a bit pricier(not that $ 34 an entrée is cheap), so my advice would be to go to any of them and if need be pay the extra $ for a decent meal. This was sort of «special» occasion for us. My mom had just finished 6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation was craving lobster, so despite the reviews and my better judgement I took a chance and we went. I immediately sensed a problem when the service, although animated, it was very slow. As our server chatted up the table across from us shelling their lobster we began to wonder what happened to our food. Finally our mushrooms and salads arrived, mediocre at best, and we sat once again waiting for our entrees, to which the server said he was«keeping an eye out for». By the third time he came to the table I asked him what was up. I told him that we had been there for an HOUR and TWENTYMINUTES and two tables had already come in, ate and left. I also told him that clearly one of two things had happened, 1). The ticket was not wrung in or 2). The kitchen lost the ticket as there was no excuse that it should take this long. Since it didn’t seem like our food was coming anytime soon and we had waited an hour and a half at this point, and gotten a handful of excuses I asked for the check. The server presented the check and said, we only charged you for the drinks and the stuffed mushrooms were on us. Again, no logical excuse as to what happened although it was clear to us. Upon leaving I asked to speak with the manager, who quickly came from the back and said that he was aware that there was a problem and was sorry. He then told me that he had to «investigate» what had happened. «Investigate»? Sir, I work in the industry, the server didn’t put in the order or the kitchen screwed up, it’s not rocket science. That was it, no logical reason, no please come back and give us another chance(not that I can say I would have anyway), nothing, just«I’m sorry». I told him that the experience and his explanation where unacceptable and the fact that he said he was aware and didn’t even take a moment stop by the table made it even worse. Bottom line, stuff happens, but training goes further than a few rehearsed catch phrases and recovery is the key to any successful business. It became quickly apparent that this was something that both the management and staff were missing.

«Just to let you know, we’re out of Coconut Shrimp and Green Beans. Sorry, we’re out Coronas too.» — Waitress Damn, are you guys out of water too? It was that kind of night. What went wrong: Waitress advised us that most of their servers didn’t show up to work. that explained the 30 minute wait, while the dining area was damn near empty. It took 15 minutes to get my tea. 15 minutes to get biscuits… don’t even ask how long for our salads and entrees. It was ridiculous Will I return? Hell no

Yesterday was my 77th birthday and my husband took me to dinner at the Palm Desert Red Lobster. The food was excellent — I had the Ultimate Feast with a sample of Wally’s Shrimp, Shrimp Scampi, Steamed Lobster, and Snow Crab and all the extras. Yummm. The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 star rating: they didn’t acknowledge my birthday and we had barely started our salad when the main meal came. Would I go back — absolutely.

I came here on my birthday and was delighted by my server, Sherri, who was super sweet, knowledgable and fun! I had a rough day leading up to this dinner and was just hoping to relax and enjoy a gluttonous meal and Sherri was very accommodating. She helped me pick out the best birthday dinner and then had them bring out dessert with a candle while they sang happy birthday. totally corny but just what I needed to help me feel better about the day.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal and excellent service. We had the blackened catfish and clam strips with a side of asparagus and a baked potato. The clam strips and the blackened fish were excellent. The asparagus was very slightly undercooked. The baked potato was perfect. We were there at noon and the restaurant was not busy. Our server, Jazz, did a wonderful job. The restaurant and the restrooms were very clean. I usually try and find something that could be improved about a restaurant. There was nothing negative that I could say about today. In fact, the service may of been as good as I’ve ever had.

Slow service and dirty dishes and trays on tray stands all over yet the waiter goes back and forth to kitchen empty handed. Waiter training 101, take some dirty dishes back to the kitchen since you are going that way anyway. Sorry to see such slow and poor service in an establishment that’s been around so long.

While on vacation decided to try Red Lobster despite low ratings. Our server/bartender was Skylar who attentive to our needs and we received the food in a timely manner. Order prepared as requested! As I stated in a previous review, I have received great service when seated in the bar area. Great job Skylar !

Food was ok, our waiter, Cesar was excellent, but the kitchen staff was ridiculously slow. We waited almost ½ hour between salad and main course. Our waiter was very apologetic and did everything he could to speed up the food, to no avail. Nothing to write home about.

We have not been to a Red Lobster in at LEAST ten years. Our kids have been curious about trying lobster so I decided to make it happen. When we arrived I immediately noticed a different décor than what I remembered. It was darker and more welcoming than what I recollect from the past. We were immediately seated close to a window facing the Bump N’ Grind and the Sun was peering through. You could feel the HEAT so we requested another table. No problem. After reviewing the menu I noticed a four course meal for $ 17.99. My wife and I selected this dish to split. She had the Clam Chowder soup and I had a Caesar salad. The Tilapia was the main dish and we chose mash & fries as our two sides. The feast also came with a dessert that we substituted for two kids sundaes.(The kids were ELATED) Oh, we also selected one Lobster Tail for $ 11.99. Our children enjoyed their Mac n’ Cheese and Chicken Fingers that were both accompanied by fries. To coat my throat I sipped on a Fat Tire draft. Their draft lineup is weak but decent for the demographic that was dining here. All in all, the meal was a deal for the price. The service was top notch and the food was good, considering I walked in with two $ 25 gift cards. We had to pay out of pocket to leave a tip and we were satisfied and not too full. Oh, and the munchkins FINALLY were exposed to trying lobster. It was a GREAT experience for the family. We will return. Next time I’m going BIG with a Steak and Tail.

I grew in L.A.during the 80’s. Back then Red Lobster was king of the corporate chain restaurants — in the era that this trend started taking over suburbs across america. Our suburb was passed over by Red Lobster — and despite the lobster shells cracking across the TV screen — I had thought it vanished in the late 90’s. Apparently not — I am happy to report that Red Lobster is alive and well in Palm Desert. In the spectrum of seafood RL can be described as an ‘Upscale Sizzler.” While it is not cheap, you do get a lot for your money. They are pretty focused on leaving you full and happy. If the seafood does not do you in the biscuits will. Beside a vegas buffet, I am not sure where you can pile your plate up with this much shellfish without hanging your head in shameful and gluttony. Like a buffet, the food peaked at «good» the preparations clearly try to appeal to a very broad customer base. We went very early, but by the time we left(around 6) there was already a very long wait(saturday). The staff was OVERLY friendly… well trained by the machine. It all felt very scripted, but pleasant. I laughed out loud when my wife asked for blue cheese dressing on her salad and the waiter exploded with an «Mmmmmmm very excellent choice!!» — I can’t even remember what I ordered… but it was basically a big pile of everything covered in butter, to which he responded«you clearly know your seafood» — I have absolutely no idea what that means… Red Lobster, like most of these kinds of places, is very easy to bring kids too… The kids dug the crab legs on the kids menu, but they don’t come cracked — which meant my meal got cold while I prepped all of theirs. Save the money on this if your kids are too young to do it themselves. I ended up with so much food that I was happy to share with them anyway. My only gripe is that is a bit expensive for what it is, and the drinks were watered down… beside that good old fashion 80’s family fun.

So we went to Red Lobster tonight. I did not have high expectations as lately restaurant chains have disappointed me. Luckily, we had Robert as our waiter. The food was good but the service was on point. He was attentive, sincere, and professional. Red Lobster needs to make this guy a trainer or manager as the food was consistent at an 8(no King Crab legs grrrr) but our dining experience was a 10. The mussels and the garlic biscuits were the highlights. I ate all my crab legs and lobster.

Shitty service. We had no biscuits, no drinks, and yet the manager was kind enough to talk to some old customers for 15 minutes and when she did leave, it was to get the customers she was talking to, whatever they asked for. Mind you, it was not busy. Nobody came by our table and when the server finally came, my hand was still on my plate and she grabs it anyway. I got the portobello wine chicken… there was no hint of wine, it tasted like they poured the whole damn bottle of wine in the dish. Gross. The shitty part about this is that I can’t even complain to the manager because the manager is doing the same thing. There were no apologies, we were not acknowledge. Horrible service.
