«Hipster» and«pretentious» was what I read, and sounded like it was right up my alley. If you’re a fan of delicious cocktails, good food, and a welcoming relaxed environment give it a try. Favorite bar in Palm Springs.

We stopped into Bar after dinner last week and had a great experience. The bartender was great — super fun to talk to and gave us some good recommendations for other places to check out. I enjoyed my cider and loved their extensive list of cocktails and beer.

Got our drinks in the small main bar, walked through a doorway, followed the path, and there is ping pong/tables/bean bag toss/a large open air space to drink and hang out. Cool surprise to play and hang out at BAR!

Drinks are really EXPENSIVE. the smell is nice the vibe is poor, bunch of trash people. Bartenders are the worst I’ve seen and expect nice tips! One of them by the name of RAY yelled across the bar«hey you guys know how to f*ing tip??» Well learn to give good service jerk! they seem to not have many drink options, everytime I asked him for drinks they said«nope don’t have that» and then he would walk away. and they rush you to get off the bar. Hell no I ain’t coming back, if the bartenders are willing to pick a fight with you imagine the crowd they create. Go somewhere else, with classy people and not shitty bartenders who spend their time throwing middle fingers, and throwing stuff at eachother across the bar. Because at the end of the day they are people who get paid minimum wage, their pay depends on tips so I suggest your attitudes to change honey! especially if you want«good» tips! management take a good look at your staff, if you wanna keep your buisness running. Beware of RAY guys. If you don’t tip good or at all he will yell at you from across the bar and let everyone there know!

Still lame and still a huge letdown. You are advised to stumble over to any of the many competitors within walking distance. Hell, the village pub is even more of a draw than this place. Don’t waste your money. Not worth it.

Our wings and gigantic kale salad were just fine, but what will bring me back are the feel of the room and the beer cocktails. The mixologist was knowledgeable and personable and made some delightful cocktails. This is the widest selection of beer cocktails I’ve ever seen, and the two I tried were fantastic. As for the room, it has a mix of dive and hip, without being too much of either. Next time, I’ll try the pizza; it looked great.

We had a great time at Bar. Our wedding was in a few days so we invited 40 people down there for drinks and pizza at 6pm when they opened. Everyone had a great time, and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. A great meeting place for friends getting together in Palm Springs. It’s dark, and pretty big, but it was perfect for us. The DJ didn’t start till late, so we could all stand around chatting for hours. Great bar. Great drinks. Delicious pizza.

If you like whisky… This is the place to go! Such a huge drink menu, and the place itself is super huge and awesome patio outback. I had a few old fashioneds .so muddled! And I got a try a new gin drink with elderflower, I forgot the name of it but it was good, and I’m Not even a fan of gin! Special place! Great ambience.

Wow. If I wanted schmarmy and«over-it» wannabe bartenders and servers I’d stay in Hollywood at tourist traps. I’m specific in what I drink and it’s common-having been in the bar/restaurant world. I’ve tried this place a few times and am generally met with the same indifference and attitude. Tonight was probably it. I was out with some friends and we had a table outside(after suffering the bs attitude of the bartender(s), and attempted to order one of their famous«pizzas». I asked one of the servers(it’s probably safe to assume that if you’re wearing an apron and carrying food that you’re a server?) for a couple of menus. She looked at me like I murdered her firstborn and literally threw two greasy menus on the table and rolled her eyes at me.(It’s probably prudent to note she might be angry that she didn’t Cure tix this spring? This was evidenced by her charming demeanor and makeup noted in the accompanying photo). I wear suits and/or sport coats a majority of the time for work; on weekends I defer to jeans and t-shirts. Probably a bad reason to judge a book by it’s cover. The overall vibe of this place is an over-age frathouse. Although the recreational activities outside and patio are cool(if ping-pong is your get-down). At the end of the day we come to our house here on weekends to escape the chaos of LA. If you’re into obnoxious, wannabe hipster bartenders, and Pat Benatar-meets-Marilyn Manson with a hefty dose of being a few decades from now… then by all means this is probably your spot.

No help here came in and was ignored by all the employees. No help here what a waste of time. Take ur money to other local places that will help you and take your order. I will not be back.

A bit pretentious, very hipster. The standing room to order a drink if you’re NOT sitting at the bar is too small and right next to the register/where the servers come in and out– so you’re just *in the way*. With one person ahead of me, I waited at this spot for a solid 7⁄8 minutes before i was next in line. A woman arrived after me and the bartender ignored me and took her 6 order drink. I get it dude, cute girl– but I think its bad form to knowingly ignore the next guest, especially when the woman you’re ignoring me for ACKNOWLEDGED that I was there first and seemed awkward when he did the dismissive«don’t worry about it» hand gesture. I waited another 8⁄10 minutes before I got to order(I was the next person he helped– it was a slow night and not crowded at all.) The tension between bartenders is a tad uncomfortable as well. The best thing about Bar is their extended patio in back. It’s not like anything else in the des. Otherwise? Meh.

Fun, chill local bar in Palm Springs. Some good cocktail options and many beers. Kinda has a hipster vibe but very laid back spot. Would come here if I lived in the area and would definitely suggest if you are visiting and looking for a bar with a chill younger crowd.

I can’t get enough of this place the drinks here were unbelievable my Manhattan was one of the best I’ve ever had and I tried some of the other whiskey based cocktails my friends ordered and they were all amazing We stayed inside for the first part of the night until we realized the gigantic back area that had baci ball corn hole and ping pong table it was such a nice addition to the drinks Wish there was a place like this in Orange County!

Dark, comfortable, and swanky whiskey bar. As expected, there were fancy cocktails w/foo-foo mixers, young Coachella crowd, and bearded bartenders. But not as expected: the friendliness, attention, decent pour, and lack of pretense expected of your neighborhood watering hole. Recommended. «Bar. Between Liquor and Phở»

Bar has a great vibe– a bit hipster without the pretentious attitude that typically comes along with it. Drink prices are comparable to most other places in town. I don’t drink hard liquor but some of their craft cocktails sounded so good, I almost tried them. That being said, beer selection was good. Bartenders were friendly. The back patio is awesome– tons and tons of space with large picnic tables, heaters and cornhole. Bathroom was relatively clean considering. Sound system was LOUD. The crowd was a mix of people from all walks of life and I like it that way. All types of folks welcome.

I really, really liked Bar. It was hip, cute and the drinks were delicious! My only complaint would be that the music was not exactly pumping. On a Friday night, I would’ve expected the music to set more of a party mood. I’m definitely looking forward to going back to Bar next time I’m in Palm Springs!!!

I don’t know wth I drank here but… they were good. lol Oh wait — «The Colonel» was one cocktail.(Bourbon. Lemon. Cherry Bitters. Ginger Beer) And at the end of the night the tab for me and a stranger sitting next to me was only $ 30?! Wow! Cool place. Great location, nice people, funny and helpful bartenders. It was my last stop of the night. So excuse my lack of details. ;) I know I was able to hail a cab in no time flat at closing! Cheers!

Reeeeally dug this place. After surveying some of the PS population about where to go that evening, everyone pretty much said the same thing«Bar.» Allllllright, done & done. Bar is great — it’s really cool with an excellent spacious back patio(with its own set of amusing rules posted) adjacent to a fantastic mural. The art is one of the things I dig the most about this joint. Whether it’s the indoor paintings or the outdoor murals, it’s cool all as sh*t.(Nod to Abe!) The particular night we were there, I was sad there wasn’t a DJ(it’s Friday night people?) but it still gave a good vibe. Craft cocktail list was impressive, as was the food menu — creative ingredients, someone’s really paying attention to this ish, truly. My cocktail(the Gold Rush) hit the spot but bartender was definitely a bit on the surly side. We were hungry, not starved, but ate UP some wings with black bean sauce(YEUH!!!) & some devils on horseback, both of which were killer and just the right amount of food with a ton of flavor. Would order both again & nearly did. Really would’ve liked to see this place on a busier night but even on a relatively quiet night, it’s pretty dope. Just watch what you’re doing on that patio, i guess…

A(whiskey) oasis in the desert! Located on the main drag amid a sea of meh bars & pubs, this somewhat divey watering hole provides a comfortable place to sit n sip a well-crafted cocktail. What Bar lacks in naming creativity(but see their URL), it makes up for it with a creative cocktail menu featuring from scratch recipes as well as the classics. But for me, the coup d’etat is their Whiskey offerings. Legit. Serious. And in-depth! More specifically, their bourbon list featuring many hard-to-find bottles that only come from a developed relationship with the distiller. I’m talking Pappy’s, Van Winkle, Four Roses Anniversary, Elijah Craig 21… only thing missing I would have loved to tried was the Eagle Rare 17(which seems to more elusive than a rainbow spotted unicorn these days)! Bartenders were friendly & knowledgable with handy recommendations based on the flavor profile I was looking for in my cocktail.
