First review on Unilocal.Treated so poorly I felt I had to. Regular cigar smoker, daily $ 15-$ 20 sticks. I was killing time in downtown palm springs and found this lounge, went in with the intention of purchasing a cigar and using the lounge to smoke it. Was greeted poorly, told I could not bring in my coffee even though they could not provide me with a similar coffee drink. Told If I didn’t purchase wine or alcohol I couldn’t stay and use the lounge. Long story short, I’ve been to plenty of lounges and all are are place for friendly conversation over a nice stick, not to be shunned for wanting to purchase a cigar with the expectation that you could stay on property to smoke it. Pretty disappointing.

My boyfriend and I came to Palm Springs on Vacation from Los Angeles. At first we thought this was a neat please. My boyfriend bought a cigar here and he bought me a red wine bottle; we spend over $ 60. Then we sat outside in their smoking area for him to smoke his cigar. This lady came out sayings that we couldn’t sit here because it was a one drink minimum. It bothered me a little because we had just spent money there. So then I said«can you just open my wine bottle because we just bought it here and we’ll just drink this .» And she said«well you can, but then I have to change you $ 15 to open the bottle» … And it’s not what she said, that was so upsetting, it’s how she said it. This place has horrible customer service. definitely a thumbs down.

Expensive adventure! Don’t go here as cigars are higher than any place in town and they have a phony cutting charge! You buy their cigars but to use their smoking lounge you have to buy a drink which is costly! A half glass of cheap wine is $ 10 or more and a non-alcoholic beer is $ 6.95 for a label I can’t even find locally. If you choose to smoke your OWN cigar(they won’t order my brand) even though you have already spent $ 15 or more, they will charge you $ 10.00 just to sit in the lounge and have it with friends! Another policy which is state law, they say, is you can’t take in or eat anything inside or out in the smoking area; however the money hungry(sour personality) OWNER the woman was witnessed eating in the lounge and at the front counter. It’s all about the money! You want a nice fair priced place, go to the Tinder Box on Palm Canyon, sit outside with a great group and drink coffee! They will also order your cigars and pipe tobacco

Third time stopping in and enjoying this location. Lounge is nicely arranged, comfortable seating, micro brew bar and wine. Nice cigar selection and knowledgable staff to assist you with your selection. If you are looking to enjoy a cigar and a beer or wine I’d recommend this place.

Great selection of cigars, wines and beers(both on tap and bottles). The cigar prices vary from $ 4 to $ 40 and beers are about $ 10. There’s a lounge in the back that will cost you a beer; my advice, buy the beer. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. So if you enjoy cigars, beer and escaping the heat, this is an place to consider.

Wanted to stop by and get a drink and a nice Cigar on Sunday August 1st. It was well after 12 and they were still not open! Smh who does this? I’ve sent numerous people to this Cigar Bar. I absolutely love it, but this is unacceptable! Get your act together if the sign says you open at 12 then open at 12 and be ready! Smh! I’m Totally Disappointed!

We were here over the weekend. And as we attempted to end our night in a relaxed environment we came across this little cigar place. There is a one drink minimum and I’m okay with that. Our server was great did a great paring for the birthday boy so meanwhile he enjoyed our cigar the rest of us enjoyed our drinks. That I’ll give a three star. I’m knocking it down two stars because the woman owner practically made us chug our drinks out the door because we were cutting it so close to closing time.

This place cracks me up. I walked in on Sunday at noon. Front doors wide open and it’s all inviting. Guy inside says they aren’t offering anything for another half hour. So, no cigar, no wine, no beer, no coffee, nothing until he’s ready. Why open a place when it’s really not? Too many other places with craft beer around down town to wait for them to over charge for a pint. See ya!

Amazing service! Frankie helped us select a couple new stocks and they were great! Wine selecting was good and had a really good time smoking and dining in the lounge.

Frankie and January provided almost amazing service, if they would have only let us take, or buy, the glasses haha. Fun place for a Monday night, not much else going on in PS tonight, it’s early in the week and slow.

The concept is so awesome but talk about an epic fail. Awful vibe, awful service, awful ventilation. Bartender could not tell us a single thing about any of the beers they offered. Worse than that, she was ticked that we even asked. Oh, and then the roof collapsed, but whatever. Won’t be going back.

If you are a first timer there are people here who are very knowledgable about cigars and will show you the ropes. Make a stop here when you visit Palm Springs!

First visit. Very impressed with initial reception at front counter. Went into humidor, very good climate control. Selected a cigar & went to counter. Lovely gal took cigar & provided me a menu for the bar. I stepped inside at her direction. She returned with my cigar cut & began torching the end for me. Nice selection of wines. They take pride in every pour using an aerator. Very impressed with service & atmosphere. Good job!

Great place to escape the heat and enjoy a good cigar, wine, or beer. Sit outside in front and people watch or, inside in the back. Listen to music, watch tv, play chess, or just share a conversation with the others that happened in. There are comfortable couches, a small bar with a relaxing atmosphere. Each time we have stopped by we have been lucky to chat with all types of folks from all over. No cigar snobs here. Sneak away and enjoy something special for yourself — a great cigar, wine or beer.

So. I have to edit. This trip we have been at Fame eve single night. Enjoy wonderful new cigar experience and delightful port. Adorable girls working the place. 5 star all the way!!! Disappointed that we tried on Sun, Mon & Tuesday evenings to enjoy wine and cigar after dinner to find them closed early each evening. Kind of a bummer.

An hour or two at Fame has become a staple, a must-do during our trips to Palm Springs. One drink minimum in the smoking room and at the tables out front on bustling North Palm Canyon Drive, and the cutting fee is $ 6 here. What do I look forward to at Fame? * Fresita(Sparkling Chilean wine infused with strawberries. It’s incredible.) * Drew Estate Dirt(My favorite cigar, and it’s inexpensive. Tastes like sugar on my lips, literally.) * Roxanne(Husband and I absolutely love her personality, her service, and her knowledge.) I also really like looking through the used cigar boxes – $ 5 for wooden, $ 2 for the others – stacked up front, though I resist buying any these days because I’ve collected quite a few from Fame and from Tinderbox down the street. Incidentally, I will say Tinderbox has the better used box deal – just $ 3 and $ 1, if I recall correctly. The better selection is at Fame though. In a town where there’s so much fun stuff to do and experiences to be had, Fame is near the top of my list. I truly look forward to some downtime at this establishment. «I was probably finding my feet more than anybody. I really have to say I was more obsessed with myself faltering than anybody else.» ~Philip Seymour Hoffman
