I am not some bitter disgruntled customer. As a matter of fact this is my first Unilocal. We have been coming here on and off for the past 5 yrs, hoping it will get better. The laugh is on us! Consistently bad service and really bad food!

Sign outside advised to, «Please sit yourself» — so we did. After sitting outside for over 10 minutes — we received no service. Although, the server walked to EVERY table(he had 5 tables outside — Yes, I’m now writing to you while sitting at the bar — so I just looked back to confirm that number). As soon as we sat at the bar — the young guy helped us and got us our drinks right away(he gets five stars). Drinks were good for their happy hour special. My plate was dirty(attached). Ordered Mozzarella sticks — just to hold us over while we went down the street to have dinner. — They were ok. They were seasoned and full of cheese — as a foodie, I can appreciate that. In all it was a good place for a cheap meal — only wish the service was better. Three different people came up the bar to pay for their bill — that’s the service you’ll get. Right before we left — lady came up to the bar really upset — she needed to pay her bill. I think I’m next in line to say the same thing…

Went here today for a late lunch around 2pm and my sister and I walked up the stairs to a sign that said please seat yourself. So we did, outside where there were other guests and waited for a server. We waited for 10 minutes and decided what we wanted to order but still no server. We noticed a couple minutes later that another couple walked up the stairs and sat at the table right behind us and got their drink order taken right when they sat down. The server then walked away without even noticing that we hadn’t been helped yet. We decided to wait another 5 minutes to see if we’d be helped but, nothing. So we got up and walked out. Still, nobody noticed. It was not a busy time and they were well staffed. Just bad service.

A group of friends and I were all craving burgers and decided to stop here in the midst of the weekly Palm Springs Art Fest that’s every Thursday downtown. The climb of the stairs was pretty steep, but luckily there was an elevator. The greeter sat us down but honestly it took 20 minutes for someone to notice that we had no menus or no drinks. After our waiter taking our order and waiting another 30 minutes for our food, we finally ate. The food was decent, but very pricey for the bland taste. The only cool thing about the place was the fireplace near you while you ate. Other than that, typical bar burger joint.

Nice place to watch a game. The wings were good. The burger was not that good. It seemed it was a medium quality grade Costco burger. The shake was great.

We were all a bit disappointed in our food. I got a salad, two people got burgers, and two people got sandwiches. We all thought our food was so-so. Drinks were fine. Service was fine. Food was very dry but service was decent.

Definitely my favorite burger spot in PS. We’ve been here a few times and it never disappoints. This is a good choice if you want something better than a chain burger spot like Red Robin/Chilis/etc. Make sure you get the fries. Definitely worth the calories.

Came to Grind burger bar for their awesome natural burger. Ordered the buffalo burger, best to get well done or there will be a lot of pink inside. OK i was looking for a all natural place. When I checked the ketchup from Heinz at the table the contents were«HIGHFRUCTOSECORNSYRUP» a well known cause of diabetes. I hope they get some natural ketchup to go with their natural burger. Since it was cold the place was empty, and there was ample parking in the free parking lot on Indian Canyon road.

My husband and I had never been in the downtown Palm Springs area so we parked the car and went for a walk up and down the strip. Among the trinket shops and dive bars is this sports Mecca that my husband was so happy to come across. What drew us up into the place was their massive array of tvs playing all sport imaginable. It was Memorial Day weekend so we thought it would be busier but thankfully we arrived between rushes and sat at the bar so hubs could watch both basketball games he wanted. Bartender Laurie was super great! So friendly and attentive. It’s a burger bar and choice comes easy to my husband but when I mentioned how I wasn’t even really hungry, she Recommended the sliders because they are basically smaller versions of the big burger and I could try two different kinds and give the rest to my husband — booyah! There was a happy hour going on with a great house margarita for only $ 5! We had to continue our drive home after the games so I couldn’t indulge too much but if We are ever back in the downtown Palm Springs area again — this happy hour will Defo get our visit!

Been here a few times and to be honest me and my boyfriend always sit at the table and the servers have always been a little rude with attitude But today we sat at the bar, and had awesome service I always get the combo A the grind with a drink and fries I get the truffles fries there awesome. I had got a drink here for the first time and the bartender Hugo made me a smooth pineapple mojito and I loved it, and my bf says the bloody marrys are the best and he’s a bartender so he knows good bloody marrys I would definitely recommend this place! Sit at the bar thow it’s happy hr all day :)

Family and I were looking for a good dinner spot for a party of 8 so it was a bit hard finding a restaurant with a short wait. We found this place that was kid friendly and they were able to accommodate our family pretty quick. I saw the time from when we ordered and got our food and it was about 45 – 50 minutes, we waited TOO long! They didn’t even come and give us an update right until the food came out. As for the food I got the sliders which were okay. I got to taste the garlic fries which I normally love but they were salty.

Came to this place with family and was not impressed. I will say we came close to closing time but in many ways this place didn’t give us the greatest experience. First– they took a while to sit us down even though there were tons of seats available. Second– we were clearly told they were understaffed which showed on a few occasions. Third– the food came out way late and wasn’t good and very bland. It looks like this place has potential to an extend but I was just not impressed at all. Personally I would not visit this place again and I think the great reviews this place has is mostly because, well, Palm Springs doesn’t have that many more options.

Got the Kobe burger — very refreshing for a burger. As refreshing as burgers can be I guess… cause of the cucumbers. Fries on fleek. Cesar Salad on point. Beer list v good.

Burgers have been good on all three visits. Lamb & Mexi-Cali both moist and delicious. Truffle Parmesan fries fantastic. Family size enough for four people. Efficient service. Nice beer selection.

I was so aggravated with this place that I’m not even motivated to write the bad review that is inevitable. Based on past reviews, we tried to eat here twice this weekend. On Friday night, they closed early. According to Unilocal they are open until 10PM. We walked in just after nine and were told they were no longer seating. Normally I would feel bad about that, you know, walking in later. But, it’s a burger place. We could have been seated, eaten, and out of there before it was even 10 o’clock. On Saturday we tried to come back and we were seated immediately. our server, however, was not in any rush and didn’t even take our drink orders until after 15 minutes. it took another 10 minutes to bring them over. Then, she disappeared for about 20 minutes. So long, in fact, that we had to go get the manager and he sent another waitress to help us. After she took our order, nobody came back to check on drinks, the people around us at other tables were waiting on checks, waiting on food. People are flocking out the door in droves. We talked to the manager one more time and told him that we were done waiting. He comped our drinks and we left an hour and a half later then we arrived and far hangrier(hungry and angry) than we wanted.

This is my first one star review. I also don’t usually review a restaurant primarily on their service versus their food, but in this case, I have no choice as we were NEVER served ANY food! My friends and I came in, starving, at about 7:30 on a Saturday night to about a half filled restaurant. We saw four stars and nearly 300 reviews and were chomping at the bit for a burger. The ambiance is up scale diner with a lovely patio leading the way inside. We began by ordering some drinks, my choice was the mudslide boozy shake. Alcohol and ice cream? That, my dear Gatsby, is the true American Dream. I will say, the shake was delicious. My bestie ordered the banana bread shake which was also super yummy. However, after speaking to two different servers and the bartender, our food order was never delivered. After a frustrating hour and a half, we left, not quite buzzed and definitely hangry. Do not waste your time!

Jamie W. and I didn’t have a clue where to dine on our first night in Palm Springs, so we traipsed up and down Palm Canyon Drive only to see one noisy, crowded restaurant after another. So I started looking on my Unilocal app to see if anything within walking distance had at least a four-star average rating. Ah, Grind does so off we went. Downstairs there was a pricey steakhouse called Chop House with $ 55 bone-in Porterhouses, but upstairs was this more reasonably priced burger house that serves spiked shakes. How could we not be drawn by vodka milkshakes? Besides, it turned out to be a huge space with fire pits, ideal for big parties of which there were just a few at the longer tables. It was a pretty quiet evening here compared to the street below. We scored a large booth where we had time to peruse their compact menu. Jamie was quite good and first ordered the $ 5 House Salad, a hefty portion with mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers and croutons with a balsamic date vinaigrette dressing on the side(photo: ). He followed this up with the surprisingly hearty $ 9.29 Veggie Burger. It consisted of a thick garden veggie patty. surrounded by avocado, lettuce and tomato in a house special Pretzel bun for a dollar extra(photo: ). I went for a $ 3 starter of Edamame pretty heavily salted(photo: ). My entrée was the $ 8 Caesar Salad topped off with an $ 8.50 Grilled Lamb Patty medium rare(photo: ). As odd looking as that was, it tasted pretty good with the lamb a nice savory, juicy touch. The waitress was top-notch, personable and attentive and definitely worth a shout-out. FOOD — 4 stars… really just good bar food done up in entrée sizes AMBIANCE — 3.5 stars… very Palm Springs-feeling, quite cavernous, good for huge parties SERVICE — 4.5 stars… waitress here was a stand-out, very professional and attentive TOTAL — 4 stars… definitely a solid dining alternative to the louder spots along Palm Canyon

Searching for a good burger to soak up the liquor from the night before, I used my handy dandy Unilocal app and decided to saunter down Palm Canyon to eat here. It’s a good thing I read the reviews and knew to look for an upstairs place, because it is likely that I would have walked right past it. The patio looked like a really great option for a fun evening as the fire pit seemed to be a great gathering spot. I bellied up to the bar(LOVED the rainbowish gold clumps in the bartop) and got my $ 3 happy hour MIchelob Ultra(totally a fan of the fact that Ultra seems to be a socially acceptable light beer in these parts). If I had to guess a celebrity that my bartender could have been related to, I’d say Steve Buschemi. I know that’s a random comment, but it is true. My burger came out quickly(I got the Grind burger with parmesan truffle fries) and was«meh» about the burger. While I appreciate that they use high quality ingredients, this burger just only got the job done. The fact is that it was unimpressive, especially for $ 9.50! The $ 3+ fries were pretty good… smelled better than they tasted, but they were the highlight for sure. Would I return? Not sure. The happy hour beverage prices were great and the Mexi-Cali burger that my neighbor ordered did look tasty…

Unser Lieblingsplatz in Palm Springs.
