Most fun I’ve had in my life. So sorry to be going home. The suites were perfect for an extended stay and the pool is fantastic. Late nite swims or just hanging around talking with friends or the other guests it was a dream vacation spot. The historic club house and easy access to all things Palm springs rounded off this most memorable break from the every day.

This place has great history and an awesome architect to boot, it’s a shame that isn’t on the primary owners minds when restoring this locale to it’s proper glory. Our room was big enough for two and our dog, so personal space was not an issue! As the other reviews state each unit is individually and decorated, so no two rooms are alike. Neat idea, poor execution! The persons operating it are ice enough but if you take issue with the amenities or cleanliness it becomes a YP(your problem) and not, theirs you’re on your own. There also seems to be a curmudgeon of an old man who has a dog on the property who owns something like an alaskan wolf terrier? Regardless of the breed he basically threatened us with his dog, telling us ours better not go pee-pee on it’s territory or one bite and it’s all over for our little dog. Gives you warm fuzzies all over, doesn’t it. Neighbor drama aside, the pool is great and super clean, hot tubs are clean and seat a large group comfortably. It could be a super place based on it’s past history that any glamourpuss would embrace, but currently it lacks that oomph and if the other neighbors are like the curmudgeon I don’t think it has a chance.

The front destk(hotel operation) at Ocotillo Lodge has been closed sine 2005. I don’t know when Michelle stayed at the Lodge, but her information is outdated. Each condo is rented by the individual condo owner and price /terms /condition of each condo are very unique and different. Most units have been remodeled and some are a bit outdated. You can find the condos through sites such as . of searching keywords«Ocotillo Lodge Palm Springs». The complex is currently in the process of being repainted and remodeled to the oroginal architectural design and color scheme. Best of all, the complex is located in the southern end of Palm Springs and away from the fierce winds on the north end.

Nothing grand to look at, but yet again, another place I stayed at while embarking on the three day adventure called Coachella. The place is actually kind of ugly and the rooms aren’t anything special, but you’ve got a full kitchen, a living room, dining area, full bathroom and bedroom. They also have a pool and a work out room. I’m sure they had a couple of other things, but I can’t recall as it’s been a couple of years since I stayed there. The staff were polite and there is a store in which you can find small treats and ice cream which is great when the weather is warm. One negative is that while we were there they never freshened our towels, which is kind of important to me while I’m out there for the festival of dirt, grass and sweat.(read other hotel review). After calling in the morning to get fresh towels, we returned late that night to find that they never did it. We called that night and were told we would have to ask in the morning. We did so, again, only to again find that they didn’t bring any to us. At the end of it all they told us that they gave us the only keys to the room and couldn’t get it and weren’t going to help us get what we want. It also seemed like there might have been a language barrier going on. I tried complaining to the management via writing, but never received any acknowledgment. While this place wasn’t as good looking as the other hotel/time share/condo reviewed, the price was definately more feasible for what you get… oh and you actually had a stove to cook on.
