They wrap the sandwiches in some sort of green paper(which isn’t standard for most Subway restraunts) and the paper smells like shit, which makes the sandwich smell like shit too(once it has been in the wrapping for a while). The paper literally smells like used diapers.

We ate here last night. The shop seemed a little dirty/run down but maybe that is because we came at the end of the day for the buy one, get one deal. The front of the shops Subway sign was completely dark even though it was still open. We actually drove by it and missed it the first time because the light for the sign was out… not sure if it was burned out bulbs or if they just turned it off early. The staff was friendly enough but the man who was behind the counter kept wiping his nose on his bare arm while he was making our sandwiches. Let me be clear, he had on gloves and didn’t wipe his nose with his gloved hand but still… wiping your nose on your bare arm in front of customers while making sandwiches is kind of gross. What if your nose drippings, now on your arm, slide down onto your gloved hand? Ew. Everyone has a runny nose from time to time, it is not a big deal but don’t wipe it on yourself when you work with food. Just blow your nose, wash your hands, and glove up with fresh new gloves. Sheesh.

It’s average and predictable. Cheap(ish), been coming here since I was in middle school. Same layout as every other Subway, it is nostalgic in a way to be inside this location. It’s pretty cozy, with a nice little back door exit. I’d most likely rather get a Subway sandwich than the cheap quality food next door. My favorite food in the Midtown area is definitely como estå. Though.

Go to a different Subway. Look at all the other reviews. All the bad reviews are about bad customer service. If you patronize this one you will reward bad customer service and rude staff. We ordered three tuna salad salads. They used their hands to mix the salads instead of chopping them. Then the guy that was making my salad went to get more lettuce. While he was in the back, the other guy tried to close up my salad. When they finally added the lettuce, they just dropped it on top instead of mixing it in. The final straw was they gave me two scoops of tuna. The other two salads had three scoops each. I asked for the third scoop, and he said you only get two. I said the other two got three scoops each. So he tells the other guy to open up the salads and remove the extra scoop. There are several other Subways in the area. Do not reward this franchise by continuing to eat there. Otherwise, the staff will continue to be rude and will not care about the customer. Drive the extra few minutes to El Camino. In the long run, when we do not reward bad service, we all win.

Nice location. Got our order right. Quicker and more thorough than other Subways we’ve been to.

I have been going to this Subway location for a few years now, and am always struck by how nice it is. The employees are friendly, the food is always good, and the restaurant is very clean. They have a lot of regulars, and acknowledge those customers with familiar banter. I make a point to always come back to this location.

Usually try to come before the lunch rush. Usually no issues if I go in the morning or before lunch time. Workers are usually friendly and helpful. This location offers a free 6 inch when buying $ 25 gift card, don’t mind if I do!(Get it, while it lasts!)

After reading other reviews and having nothing but good experiences with this place under current ownership, I felt a bit confused as to why it got such a low rating. Then I realized that I only come here in the morning. The one time I came in the afternoon was pretty terrible. Mornings are awesome because there’s never a line. I get my breakfast sandwiches ready right away and the workers making my food are always willing to let me have as much or as little as I request. And every time there’s a cheaper deal, they let me know, which I greatly appreciate. Always saves me a few bucks! Afternoons, however, are an entirely different story. The workers seem to be rushed and, like other reviewers have pointed out, the manager breathes down their back to make the sandwiches the«standard» way. This is another point of contention I’ve seen with other reviewers: that the workers put only a little bit of toppings on. I wouldn’t be so quick to criticize them because restaurants usually have a default way to make food items. It’s the manager’s decision to follow protocol or not, so if there’s a person to be ticked at, it’s him. I decided to balance my rating between my best times(5 stars) and my worst time(barely 3 stars) to give it a 4 star rating. All just depends on the time of day.

First of all, this Subway location really needs better employees. I’ve been here many times and the people who make my sandwiches are always in a bad mood, put as little ingredients as possible, and/or roll their eyes at me when I repeat my order to them. They aren’t very friendly and helpful. I’ve heard them complain about their salaries while assisting me. Another thing that irritates me is that the ceiling fans spin directly below the lightbulbs meaning that the restaurant is constantly subjected to blinking lights. It really gives me a headache. This might not be a major issue for other people but it really grinds my gears. Overall, due to the lack of helpfulness from the staff and poor interior designs, I really cannot give this Subway more than 2 stars. I wish I could because love Subway but this location really isn’t doing it for me.

This Subway has a few«issues» that need to be addressed. For some reason, this particular location tends to have trouble making the sandwiches. Last night, I ordered Subway sandwiches that I ALWAYS order from this location and others. I ordered Oven Roasted Chicken and Pizza Sub sandwiches. The chicken in my chicken sandwich was frozen — even though it had been heated in their little counter-top oven to the point that the bread was slightly burned. The employee seemed to have difficulty knowing how to make the pizza sub. He asked me if I wanted pepperoni. I was puzzled, so I said, «Yes, it is a pizza sub.» He put the cheese down first, then the pepperoni and then asked if I wanted marinara sauce. I replied again, «Yes, this is a pizza sub.» He added a tiny amount of marinara to the point that I had to request more. Then, I noticed that the woman in charge who almost gave me a scowl for requesting the normal amount of marinara. Ouch! Oddly enough, the employee making my sandwich was adding very little veggies on my sandwich. When I requested tomatoes on my footlong chicken sandwich, the employee added four. I asked for a few more. When I requested cucumber slices, he added four. I had to request more. The same thing happened with all of the veggies, chipotle sauce and even the salt and pepper! I added some cookies, soda and chips to my order. I know that I was overcharged for the pizza sub(I have bought it many times but it was rung up as a «premium» sandwich). Since I just wanted to get out of there, so I didn’t argue. However, I was surprised to see the Asian woman in charge walk over to the employee as I was getting my things together and tell him that he should have charged me for extra toppings. Seriously? I didn’t want«EXTRA» toppings. I wanted the NORMAL amount of toppings that I always get for these sandwiches at Subway! I don’t know if the management or owners have changed and they are now going skimpy on the veggies, condiments, napkins and salt and pepper. Still, this put a «bad taste» in my mouth for this particular location. Previously, I used to avoid this location because the employees seemed poorly interested in their jobs. They would chat with one another and ignore some of the customers. This time, it seems like the employees were nervous because their boss was looking over their shoulders and breathing down their necks. As for the restaurant: It looks great. There is some nice seating in front of and behind the restaurant that allows you to eat while enjoying great Bay Area weather. Still, I do wish that this location would be a bit more«friendly» and realize that people care about what they eat to the point that they will go elsewhere to avoid a restaurant that goes skimpy with the toppings. I wrestled with the rating for this one. I think that the store itself is fine, the location is great BUT the employees(and manager/owner or whoever she was) needs better people skills. I was going to give it 2STARS, but the cleanliness of the location and convenience merited a half star. This makes 2.5STARS– but I rounded up. BTW, if you aren’t walking to this restaurant, you typically must park in the parking lot BEHIND the restaurant. There are entrances in the back and front of the store.

GREENMEAT! — this happened a while back, but I’ve been afraid to go in there since(and the other Subway’s in Palo Alto because I believe they are all owned by the same person). We used to eat there frequently, it was convenient, the staff was very polite. But I looked down at the case of food and the roast beef was green. The server took it away, but didn’t look very concerned. Not eating there again.

I just like this specific location versus the California ave one… Why? Just because I can be a hermit and eat outside in the back patio all by myself in the warm shade. I always get treated right here, and the sandwiches are pretty standard, but it’s quick and hearty. You can’t go wrong going here. No hectic lines, and parking is so much easier.

An Asian lady name Milly or Willy has a bitchy attitude. So I was eating my soup and I drop my spoon and I went to ask her another one she said“she said you have it why you need another one” like really can’t I other one coz I’m your customer. I don’t like their customer service. 0 star

It was late and I was super hungry and not wanting a fast food burger I ran into this subway… staff was good and patient with me since I’m very indecisive. I’m glad I know I can get something more healthier at this time of night

Super convenient since I live a 1 minute drive from here. Thus, when I feel ridiculously lazy, I end up here for a meal. Typically, it’s always better to park in the back and go through the back entrance. Lines never get too long, and the workers can make a sandwich without messing up. What more can you ask for.

I’ve had my ups and downs with Subway. I swear in the late 90’s the vegan owner of a Subway I lived near was putting a curse on the meats, but that’s another story. This Subway I like a lot. The Spicy Italian, though not really on the menu, is still made to taste like it did when Subway was just becoming a household word, and the service has been consistently good for me. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because the space is a little too tight when you’ve just paid the cashier and you have to backtrack and squeeze by the long line of people that just formed behind you. If you are coming here for the first time, turn in from Middlefield Rd, drive past the front of Walgreen’s and park in the back lot. That’s your best bet.

I’ve had many mixed experiences here. Many of the employees seem new and not very well-trained. Subway is generally pretty good with consistency, but often times my sandwich gets made poorly at this location. Sometimes it’s too sloppy, other times the bread was cut too much and fell off. However, if you get a more experienced employee(maybe it’s the owner, I’m not sure), the sandwiches come out fine. Also, one of the employees is really rude. One time one of the employees mumbled under his breath«disgusting» when I ordered a meatball with some toppings and chipotle sauce(it’s good, I swear!).
