Foster’s Freeze

The only good thing about this place is the ice cream cones. They try to over charge you in anyway. The manager is cheap AND rude. I refuse to go there unless i reallllly need an ice cream cone.

I will crave their spicy chicken sandwich and fries once in a while. I like to have the sandwich with pepper jack and onions! Yum. I’m happy to have this in town since it’s a change from the regular fast food chains. Shakes are good too. I tend to go through the drive through for convenience but not because it’s fast. I always turn my car off once I reach the window. I know the owners aren’t so friendly but the people they hire are always nice.

The food is ok. Location is convenient. BUT the owners are the worst! They are completely ignorant with regards to costumer service. I agree with some of the other reviewers… don’t want to increase this business profit one thin dime.

This place sucks. The owners wife is a awful person. I ordered a banana split with strawberry topping. When I got home I realized there where no banana’s. Went back 3 times and the very awful owner made me a banana split with a rotten banana 3 very very small pieces of walnuts a tablespoon of whip cream and 3 pieces of strawberry. I would starve before I eat here again.

So I just had a rocky road twister from this place. Well. it sure had a twist in it… The owners wife hair in it… and the marsh mellows were hard as rocks… Plus the wife is always angry or something. never says hi and the employee working the register seemed scared … Like you can see it in her eyes man…

This review is mainly about the owner. Didn’t expect the food to be great. I only ate here to fulfill a fast food craving.
I couldn’t believe the owner’s behavior last time I was there with my friend. He was yelling at a customer because he didn’t want to honor their coupon. He was constantly in the faces of the employees and everyone around seemed extremely uncomfortable. I felt horrible for the employees.
I won’t go here simply because I refuse to spend any money at a place where such an abusive boss may profit off of it.

Delicious food and icecream/​shakes. Fun posters on the wall from elementary aged children thanking Fosters for whatever Fosters did for them. Scary owners that don’t smile back.

It’s sad how one experience can ruin a place for you. My young son and I used to make a weekly/​bi-​weekly trip here after school for Twisters as a treat, but after today, we will not spend another dime here. I ordered the same twister I have ordered 20+ times, but this time whoever made it went the cheap route of using chocolate soft serve instead of swirling hot fudge through the vanilla soft serve. When I brought it back in, the owner was at the counter. I politely explained what I believed happened, and there followed a 15 – 20 minute argument with the owner. Rather than make it right and make the customer happy, he wanted me to wait for the employee who made it to «come back from his break» (he conveniently left just before I came in, not 5 minutes after we received our order through the drive-​thru.) so the owner could ask how he made it. I don’t have the time or money to waste on customer service like this, and even though he did eventually make another one correctly after I loudly complained about the customer service, I will never return to this establishment and I won’t be shy about sharing this experience. I will take my son to Izzy’s or B&R from now on.

i am not from paradise, but have been to some of the best restaurants around.
i really loved this place. the food was excellent. now your not going to get the french laundry but what you will get is great old fashioned drive ins, diner food.
the ice cream here is really great. most places when they serve soft serve the texture is icy here the ice cream is very creamy dense and delicious!
the fish and chips were excellent! the burgers here are far better than fast food chains. cheerful service! i believe its a family that runs this place.
i believe that in america we have lost our way with small mom and pops, and decided the newest fast food that contains the newest chemicals is ok. real people real food!
i also enjoyed the fact that the interior of this restaurant is a retro throwback. what some restaurants will pay for interiors that take them back. this place is a real gem!

Food is okay. Place is basically run down though. Only ate there once never went back.

I have to say that this was not good food at all. The place was dirty and the people running it seemed to be living in the kitchen. I would never come here again. Take a walk down to Izzy’s Burger Spa, or the Burger Café on the same street, (Pearson) but closer to Skyway.
