I use to love going here but its run down and the hamburgers aren’t as good as they use to be, i would still eat here tho

This place is located right by my job so I come here I would say at least once a month. I usually just get the cheeseburger and although it’s nothing amazing it’s still had good taste. I heard the steak sandwiches are really good from here. Overall if you are looking to grab a burger and some fries for lunch this would be a decent place

i would say ok, not a place you’d wanted to visit very often food is OK But, not like waooo, randomly pick it would be ok.

New owner… All the food is messed up no flavor its junk now all my family grew up eating here my grand pa lived next door now its a waste of time and money im upset cause they had very goid food b4 now its no Good and slow service

My mom always talks about how good this place used to be when she first came to the US. But it just isn’t what it used to be. I ordered a family pack to go, I wonder how many hairs I’ve eaten I my life time because the only time I checked my burger, there was an ugly dark hair in it. :/

The new owners are really taking this place to the ground. They are so cheap an possibly buy the lowest quality products. You can taste how cheap the food taste within the first bite. Do yourself a favor and go to another burger joint.

This Douglas Burgers is not the same anymore. The old owners have retired and sold the business. God, I’ll miss those chili fries…

This place used to be a good place to get decent food. Now that new owners have taken over, it’s been getting worst. I’ve been coming here for years. With the pervious owners I was able to pay with my Amex card. Now the new owners don’t take it. But that’s not the big issue here because I have other credit cards.
Today I went ahead and got myself a burger and chili cheese fries. From the first bite I could already tell that they changed the chili flavor to something cheap and disgusting. I had to drive back and ask for my money back because the food was so bad. I normally don’t do this, but I was so mad.
I won’t be coming back to this location ever again! I hate how cheap these new owners are. Don’t fix something that isn’t broken. My advise to everyone is to not come here.

So i forget that this place is a hell hole and pull in. The girl with the cross eyes at the counter and the older fat one that looks like a man starts laughing. Now mind you, I ran out the house after dropping off my grands. Anyway these two bitches look me up and down why? Because I’m not dressed to your satisfaction. Girl please, they are the ones in that sweatshop making minimum wage lol. I politely walked out because if you want business you don’t treat anyone that way. Like i said, if you are not a MEXICAN.
this is how you will be treated at this hole. I been working over 40 years in this country LEGALLY and have had no problems. Now the food is another story. Not that great and the place seemed dirty. At your own risk folks. People working in this place needs lessons on tolerance of non mexicans. Don’t worry, won’t ever see me again. HORRIBLE.

I don’t know why the bacon avocado cheeseburger taste so good today! Maybe because I was hung over, but regardless it was mouth watering.

So I occasionally search for different spots to eat when I’m at lunch during work hours… I have always driven by this place and always had the curiosity to try it… well today I did I ordered a double cheeseburger combo with an horchata to my surprise they charge you almost $ 1.50 for the horchata on top of the $ 1.89 for the cup… (I would understand if it was freshly made horchata but its just from the machine) The hamburger was okay the fries where a bit soggy not krispy the way I like them… I would have gave two stars for this average expensive meal but I gotta say the customer service really sucks ass the ladies in there are not polite at all they don’t say thank you when you order or greet you when u walk in and stand in front of the register… They are really lacking in customer service skills I go to doublez all the time and I am always greeted and treated like a good customer I will not be back.

Fuck this place! They are too damn high for one. I went in an ordered the chicken fried steak combo. First the old bitch just cut me off before i was even done stateing what i wanted. So i payed her 8 dollars and change, to only receive a sandwhich and soda! I went the hell off. It was not the price. I was pissed because when i asked for the combo, she should have stated that everything was seperate. She only up sold me a soda buy asking what kind i wanted. She never offered me fries from what i remember, when i clearly stated from the get go what i wanted. Then when i asked her what the hell happen, she said everything was sold separately, and that i needed to purchase fries. I said well u never explained this. You charged me $ 6 for a sandwhich and $ 2 for a soda. I figured the fries were included in the price. This bitch just walked away as i started screaming at her rude stupid ass. The old lady in there want to be young so bad, its killing here. She really needs to go mop floors or something because she sucks at order taking. BOOM! HELL. THIS PLACE DOES NOT DESERVE ONE FUCKING STAR.

The food is good but the customer service is just the worse I’ve experienced. The female staff is very rude. They don’t say thank you, how may I help you, or even a «you’re welcome» next time ill go to Tam’s.

I have Douglas everyday for lunch. Their chicken (IMHO) is what they do best! Their burgers are subpar. I decided to try some of their tacos… EHH. I moved on to their tuna sandwich… EHHH. Today, I moved on to their breakfast… French Toast + Scrambled Eggs + Bacon. Not bad. But here’s where they FAIL:
About ¹⁄₆ of an eggshell was crunching in my mouth, and almost slashing through my tongue… So watch out for their eggs. Other than THAT, this place is a hard 2/​5, and that’s IF you’re starving. If you can wait, drive south more to Wing Stop /​Subway /​Fat Burger near the 91 Fwy !!! Even inside TARGET for PizzaHut …

It’s not that the burgers were bad, it’s just that they taste like every other burger joint around.
Go to Smart & Final or Costco, buy a box of 100 frozen burger patties, 20 lbs bags of shredded ice berg lettuce, cheese and buns and tomatoes in bulk, and you have that common burger.
If you’re on a tight budget, then head over here.
They have a massive menu with several items that I didn’t feel like coming back and trying.
I never said the food was disgusting, mind you. Just that literally, 2 stars means I’ve had better.

This has been here for a long long time. It’s next door to my barber (or ex-​barber, another bad hair cut lol)
It’s been a long while since I’ve gotten something from here.
I was on hiatus for some poor customer service (10 years or more).
I was deciding what to order, when the lady at the counter started giving me attitude. No one else was there but me, so I told the lady, «you know what, I’ll take my business somewhere else»
Fast forward now, I’ve been in here twice in since November. The place hasn’t changed much. The menu item has changed a bit but not a lot.
I’ve ordered the following:
Cheese Burger with fires: It’s a good burger, but nothing special.
Fish Burrito: I was a bit disappointed. It’s a deep fried fish fillet stuffed into a burrito. The fish was fried too much in my opinion. it was way too hard.
Fried Zucchini: ok but not good. I’d have better.
I really didn’t miss much in ten years.
This is an ok place if you’re not expecting a lot.

Douglas Burgers is the standard for the classic American Burger joint in my humble opinion. They have all the classics: Pastrami, Roast Beef, Steak Sandwich, Chicken Fried Steak, Hash-​browns, Omelets, Home Made Chilli, Chorizo, Fried Chicken, Tuna Salad, Home Made Rice & Beans, Carne Asada, Tacos, Burritos, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and way more.
I have tried them all and love it, I never get bored with this place!
This is the kind of place where quality and portion size have remained the main priority. The food is really inexpensive for how much food you are getting and the quality.
Also I can really taste the difference between any old cheese burger from Carls or Burger King, for example, and Douglas’ quarter-​lb hamburger charbroiled on an open fire with lettuce, tomatoes, onion and thousand island dressing. It is truly no comparison.
This place has been in business since the 70’s from what one of the cooks told me too, so they obviously are doing something right!
