This place is absolutely disgusting. The food had been sitting for a long time, the fish looked like it came out of someone’s butt, and even the lemonade had a horrible after taste. I have no idea why this buffet is still open, because they are completely unsanitary and disturbing. It’s a mess and it needs to close ASAP.

Man one star for this place is me being generous. The one star has to be hands down for the price. They are cheap.. In all sense of the word lol Or else it would have been no stars if it was possible to give. it is AYCE but what you can eat taste bad or is cold. Save your money and hit up the small mom n pop Chinese food places. You will get more especially taste wise!

PROS: Decent staff and good prices. CONS: Once upon a time this buffet offered fresh food and had more clientele, but my last few visits have been sad as I noticed their food standards have declined and the dining area was pretty much empty.

Very bad. I can’t believe the doors are still open with a majority of the food being way under temp. All of the tables we checked were sticky, floors sticky… flavorless…just bad. So disappointed.

Just went in there and the food was tasteless, cold & disgusting and the place was empty and dirty. My boyfriend tried to taste everything they had and would take a bite and make a face which I found weird because he usually eats everything. Plus he’s eating Nutella right now to take the bad taste out.

Man… I’ve been to a lot of buffets in my life but WOW… This one… I mean… They make you pay up front. The food is cold. The seafood more so than many buffets is ever so questionable. The ice cream machine only has the vanilla setting, which doesn’t really taste like vanilla as much as ice milk. There’s a corner with raw meat and a. Sign that says«Mongolian Buffet $ 1» after I already paid. The meat for the Mongolian buffet was all stuck together with thick chunks of ice. Even the chow Mein, my one and only savior at chinese buffets… Was unpalatable. When we paid and said we would just have water, they never brought us out the water so I went up to the front desk and the man just pointed towards 3 glasses of water behind the desk… I had to get them myself. I saw the table next to me ordered coke. They were given a pitcher full of cans of coke. the place had flickering lights so it was kind of like I was at a rave… Smelled like a rave too.

Came here during lunch time. Lunch Buffet was $ 5.99 + Drink 1.69 The prices are dirt cheap but there wasn’t a lot of variety and the food they did have was disgusting it wasn’t cooked well and it was cold. There was nobody picking up our plates, so they were being piled up on another table. There was nothing in this buffet that I enjoyed. I will never come here again.

Pricing: $ 6.59 for lunch buffet & $ 6.29 for lunch to go. $ 8.29 for dinner buffet & $ 7.29 for dinner to go. $ 8.59 for weekend dinner all day buffet. I’ve been to Eastern Buffet a couple of times now when I was around the Paramount area. This is by far the cheapest Asian buffet you can possibly go to or possibly cheapest buffet in general that you can go to for all you can eat! This restaurant isn’t the best Asian buffet around but for the really low price that you pay for… The food is pretty darn amazing! Service: kinda weird but it’s pretty much self service in a buffet setting. but hey who can complain when you’re paying less than $ 10 for AYCE?! Food: they don’t have a huge selection but there’s a nice variety of Chinese and American appetizers, soups, salad, entrees, fruits, and deserts. They also have soft serve ice cream! They also have a teppanyaki grill in which they charge $ 1 per plate but you can select your own quantity of a variety of meats, vegetables, and noodles in which they can cook fresh for you. If you’re on a budget and starving and just want to pig out or eat some Chinese food, I would suggest giving this place a try for yourself! Pro tip: I would probably recommend this buffet at peak operating hours such as 11AM-1PM for lunch around 6PM for dinner time because that’s when the food is fresh and at it’s best!

This place is disgusting. The food is not cooked well at all and is either tasteless or tastes like funky fish(regardless of whether or not it is a fish dish). I couldn’t get though a plate of food at the buffet. Each thing I tried just seemed to make the experience worse; cannot think of a single thing I tried that had any redeeming qualities. The staff are ridiculous, especially the tall guy that works the counter. His English is terrible, but the aloof and uncaring way he acts its makes me feel like the language barrier is not the primary issue. They get Asian tourbusses full of people dropped off daily(which is the only way I can imagine that they stay in business) but I cannot figure out why the people on these tours are not offended at being brought here! This is not the right way to introduce people to America and LA. What an impression :(

This place is one of the worst Asian buffets that I’ve visited. The food was cold and there wasn’t much variety. I didn’t see it but my mom mentioned that they have a sign that says something about not wasting food. I thought that was unusual because I’ve never seen anything like it before. The food wasn’t horrible but would’ve tasted better had it been warmer. The only thing I enjoyed was the polluck fish. Everything else was just ok. They also needed to tidy up the place better. Vacuuming was needed.

CHECKYOURBILLBEFOREPAYING. I came here with a large group of my family. Because of the servers disorganization, I ended up paying for an extra three kids and when the guy ran my bill he tacked on an extra 2 kids. I will never eat here again. Most of the food is pretty mediocre and the best part of the buffet may be the soft serve ice cream and almond cookies. Save your money and go get $ 1 Chinese else where.

We came here because it was close to the house & prices seemed reasonable, besides the fact they charge for drink refills. The meat was extremely chewy & distasteful. My boyfriend was struggling to create a decent plate with the many food choices they did have. The seafood soup is gross, tastes like a bunch of things mixed in warm water. Everything was bland — I mean everything because we actually tried everything to see if it would get any better. The only good thing was my Coke and his Corona. Don’t ever come here unless you can’t taste good.

«$ 3.00 or $ 4.00 for won ton soup, depending on whom you order it from» I have been here a total of eight times now. But, don’t be fooled. Repeat business is not always a compliment. Food: I’ve had their won ton soup, as well as the lunch buffet. I found very few items that I actually liked in the buffet. Most of the items are beyond bland and are there for filler. Some Asian buffets have sushi; this is not one of them. I think my favourite item in the buffet was the watered-down soft-serve vanilla ice cream. The won ton soup is the only item I come back for(mostly because of the price ~$ 3.50). It is broth, cabbage, and won tons. They give you a decent size for the $ 3.50. When I first moved to Paramount, I was not feeling well, so I had a lot of won ton soup. It is usually expensive so ~$ 3.50 wasn’t so bad. Service: I have not had good service here and, in fact, have been a bit weirded out by the help. The first time I went in I asked the young man behind the counter for a menu. He said, «no menu.» I said, okay, do you have won ton soup? He said, «yes.» And then went back to what he was doing. I said, «How much?» He looked up at me surprised I was even still in his restaurant and said, «a cup». I said, «No, how much is won ton soup?» He said, «$ 3.00», and then started to walk away to do something else. I said, «Can I order some please?» To which he responded, «Ok.» and then stared at me. We stared for a good time and finally he started to get the process going. It was all very strange. The second time I came in, a woman was behind the counter. She insisted the won ton soup cost $ 4.00 and when I asked her why it cost $ 3.00 yesterday, she showed me on the menu((menu???)) that it had changed a couple of months ago. When I went back the next day(yes, three days in a row for won ton soup, not because it was delicious, but because I was sick and wanted cheap soup), the young man was behind the counter. I went up to the counter to order and he pretended like I wasn’t there for a good few minutes. Finally, I asked, «May I have some won ton soup?» And he placed the order. If the service wasn’t weird, the won ton soup originally came with only broth and won tons. But by the fourth time I got it, it suddenly came filled with cabbage. I’m not sure how that happened, but I guess it now has cabbage in it. Once, I came and the sign said open, so my girlfriend and I went in, but they looked very upset that we were in there– and told us they were closed. Even though the sign said open. That seemed a bit weird. Cost: Cost is pretty low. $ 3.00 or $ 4.00 for won ton soup, depending on whom you order it from is still pretty cheap. But, you do not get any of the meats or vegetables in it. Their buffet is pretty cheap in comparison as well. — — — — — — – Pros + $ 3.00 or $ 4.00 for won ton soup. Cons — Staff seemed to care less that I was there — Service — Prices change depending on who is behind the counter — Buffet food is not flavourful in any way(in my opinion) — Parking spaces are tiny — — — — — — – Recommendation: Give them a shot at least once if you are hungry, not looking for amazing food, and want something cheap. If you are sick, and just want some won ton soup, I’d say definitely give them a try.

I have to say something to give this place justice. What they have is actually really good for the $ 9 weekend price. This is probably the lowest in LA. With price they still have those little lobster, clams, and two types of fish. Their spicy seafood soup is actually really delicious. The owners are really kind as well.

The ONLY reason why I even stepped foot into this«establishment» is due to the fact that I only lived here for a short time and I wanted something different. But what really sealed the deal was the coupon in the Pennysaver ad. As we all know Chinese buffet places are a hit and miss. But this one has more misses like Shaq at the free throw line than hits compared to a Babe Ruth home run. Not a very expansive selection of delicacies, the ambience of a dirty floor and only 25% of the food was pleasing to the palate. If you want free refills, I’d avoid this place at all costs. $ 1.39 per cup, 75 cents a refill. $ 3.25 per pitcher, $ 2.25 a refill. Besides, Sprite, Coke, Minute Maid and water was all they had. SMH. Also credit card charges under $ 10 are a 25 cent surcharge. Mongolian BBQ is 1.00 per plate but the meat was cold and dry and somewhat frozen. Definitely NOT a place to go on a date. Better off coming for lunch than dinner because you’re spending way more than what this stuff is worth(Bring your Penny Saver coupon at all times). I’d come back ONLY as a last resort or if I need to fill my stomach for a busy day but I’d stick to Lucky Wok around the corner or finding the nearest Panda Express.

Even though reviews for this buffet weren’t great, due to hunger & laziness(closest food spot) me & my friend tried it out anyways. We were sketchy at first because the place was empty & at first glance they didn’t look like they had much. But as I browsed around I saw that they did have a pretty good selection for the price. Some of my faves were: the half crab, the shrimp everything, the pork on stick, apple pie dessert & egg drop soup. Some down sides: lacking on dessert selection & no refills.

I went back twice for dinner with friends and family since the first review and I’ve come to realize that if you go during regular peak dining times, lunch or dinner versus a late lunch for example, then you’ll find that they actually replenish the dishes as needed and keep the dishes looking more appealing. There are also more people eating at tables throughout the restaurant. Their selection of dishes is not as large and extensive as some other restaurants but they serve a good variety of meat and seafood dishes as well as desserts that remain pretty much the same as my first visit. I was surprised and happy for them as they had large bus loads of students here from China for the summer who seemed to enjoy their dinner and they made it a more lively place to eat. As a recent vegetarian convert, I struggle sometimes with what to order from restaurants, but with a buffet like this and a very reasonable price, it is easier to try a little bit of everything, except of course the red meats and chicken. I’m still eating seafood, but not sure for how much longer. Add tofu, broccoli, tomatoes, garlic and eggplant into any dish and I’ll probably enjoy that, I’m pretty easy that way. Look out for their coupons in the local PennySaver ad.
