I love this place the staff is always friendly and very nice. I normally come with my husband and daughter who is 2 and they are also very friendly to her. I really like the golden California roll and my husband loves the Bryant Roll.

Came by here today with a friend. Pretty good rolls! I only got the Cali(crab stick) roll and spicy tuna roll. They catered to my special crab stick roll for the Cali role which I appreciated! I would def try again for other dishes!

Presentation great but the food was ok. My biggest problem was with the ramen. The flavor was great but the actual noodle were basically the cheap top ramen you buy from food 4 less. The sushi was decent. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Wanted Japanese style ramen. It tasted like regular instant Korean cup noodle. California roll had no avocado… No cucumber. Service was nice but food was waste of money…

Vegetarian review: — the place gives a boatload of food, all of which is pretty good for a Korean owned Japanese place in Paramount. — it’s clean & cold. Very cold, w/AC full blast on a Thurs.evening. No wait, w/only a few other tables that were occupied. — vegetable yakisoba– really tasty, w/authentic enough flavor. It seems to be boiled noodles that are stir fried w/veggies(broccoli, & carrot medallions mostly, w/a few green beans, peas, & corn). Not 100% dry fried noodles, but flavor-wise, pretty good. Comes w/a salad on the side of the bowl(in the same bowl). — Green Field roll– this thing was surprisingly good. Topped w/seaweed(the sweet, bright green kind) & avocado, the inside is crunchy and picklely, &the balance is great. Inside: pickled radish, cucumber, and some other veggie that I’ve never heard of. Non– vegetarian– the Ringo Star roll is apparently delicious. Service: attentive but not smothering. Food was brought out fairly quickly. Waiter(who wears an LED name tag that flashes the name at an incredible rate) was nice, asked how we were doing a couple of times. Overall, no qualms about the place.

SOMEONEPLEASETAKEMETOJCA(!!!) BECAUSE I’M A JAPANESECASTLEADDICT! Cheesy I know but I LOVE this place for lunch. I always get my salmon bento box and it is delish! I’ve brought several people from work here and everyone loves it. The prices are great and the food is even better. :) For the sides, I highly recommend the avocado fries, fried fish and edamame. Yeah yeah yeah… you can get edamame at any other sushi spots, but here it’s freshly cooked and served warm. Let’s not forget about the interior. It’s super cute and you’ll definitely feel like you’re not in «Paisamount.» Try it out. Let yourself be royalty of thy castle.

Found this little gem on Unilocal while searching for a local ramen place. We didn’t want to drive too far and this place had good reviews and food looked good. We were pleasantly surprised to learn it’s been open for 11 years. Great food, friendly staff, good service and cute place. We will be back soon! We ordered spicy ramen, beef udon soup and TNT roll everything was delicious!

This was my first time but it won’t be my last for sure. The service, the food and environment was great. I had one of the lunch special for under $ 11. It had a lot of food. Chicken and beef teriyaki with tempura, salad, rice and 4 pieces of a California roll.

Horrible just horrible… The rolls are tiny and expensive. My fault for being lost in the middle of the ghetto and desperately wanting to eat sushi. I would have rather ate at a fast food joint. Yes that bad. The inside was I guess decent but I can’t get over how expensive it is for the smallest rolls I ever seen. I order the Philadelphia roll and the crunch roll. They weren’t gross but weren’t amazing more like ehh alright. I usually get two rolls and sometimes I don’t finish the whole thing well this time I was done and I was still hungry such a waste. I mean if you live in the ghetto I guess this would be your only nearby option. Never coming here again I waited forever and paid 21 bucks for a snack.

I have to say it was pretty fresh yummy sushi ! I got the samurai roll(it was really good & warm & everything on it. Tasted fresh) & the ringo star(which was also very yummy & fresh) It took about 10 mins to get my food to go. Which I didn’t mind waiting. That let you know it’s being made fresh. Total of my food was $ 26 Which I think it’s kinda pricey. So I would only be stoping once in awhile since it’s kinda $$$ They do have a 20% off Monday — Friday 5pm-10pm JUSTREMEMBERTOASKWHATSUSHIROLLSITCOVERS !!

The Tsunami roll, David roll, and the paramount roll are my favorite! The servers are quick, attentive, and friendly. The food is fresh! In the beginning I was not a fan of sushi, but this place has helped me change that around.

The presentation and taste was quite impressive. I ordered sushi combo B set and it comes with 8 pieces of assorted sushi and 4 pieces of roll that you can choose from. Service was fast and friendly. The fish was fresh and the rice was soft and plump to the perfection. It was really enjoyable lunch overall. I had a chance to taste their chicken teriyaki as well and it tasted really good. I could smell and taste the grilled chicken and the teriyaki sauce was amazing. The sauce tasted different from other teriyaki places with little bit of spice to it. I’m not sure how they make the dressing for the salad but it was pretty good as well.

The sushi was just okay. I would say all the sauce that was used made it taste better. Other than that. …eh. I do have to comment on the restrooms. First, im really big on judging a restaurant by the way its restroom is maintained. …agree? I don’t want to go into a moldy bathroom, that smells funny, and looks like the walls are gonna spell out«red rum» Anyhow, check out the pic…

Great Sushi spot and a real gem in the city of Paramount. Come here with friends or family. The service is great here and they have a VIP card that accumulates with every visit.

Craving Japanese food for lunch. I should have listened to my fellow Unilocalers advice, average at best. The place is a nice sized place. Sushi bar on one side and tables on the other. It’s really dark inside. A TV on the far end of the room and a couple of small ones by the sushi bar. Service was not the friendliest for sure. No refills on drinks. The waiter disappeared after dropping off the food. I had to flag him down for the check. No Hi or bye. He might have been having a bad day(even though there were only a couple of customers) he was almost slamming the glass for the ice tea and the bowl of soup when he was delivering the it. No Bueno. I got a lunch Bento Box. Salmon teriyaki plus 2 items, which you can choose from a list of about 20 items. I chose spicy tuna roll(4 pcs) and Fried Calamari(3 pcs). The bento box also came with salad, soup, rice & a slice of orange. The food came out in less than 5 minutes. Good thing because I was hungry. Bad, because I know some of the items were pre-cooked and won’t be fresh. Sorry to say, I was right. Salmon teriyaki was a thin slice of fish, it was dry(over cooked, was probably pre-cooked and waiting under a heat lamp), teriyaki sauce was too sweet for me. The spicy tuna was not close to being spicy, very bland. Sushi rice was cold & hard. The calamari had more breading than squid. The salad(although good) was over over dressed. The rice was hard, not fluffy Japanese rice. More like jasmine rice I have at home. The miso soup was lacking flavor Also got iced tea, weak in flavor, too watery. As you can tell, I wasn’t happy with the meal. 2 ½ stars. Rounding down for the unfriendly service. It’s doubtful that I will return.
