This place is really good with decent prices. The owner is very friendly he greeted me with a smile and recommended certain things from the menu. Will be paying another visit soon.

Good place, nice and simple. I like stopped after wprk one day, plenty of seating. They have a kids size bowl for like $ 2.99

Sometimes you want to be pampered and served a delicious meal and treated like royalty. That’s when you never come here. I mean the food is good enough and the prices are reasonable. But I think the service is better at the DMV when you renew your license. I hope this guy can see the light and be a happier person.

Trash ass spot! Found plastic on my hot night sushis roll. Rude manager! Pervert workers. Only reason I went was because Japanese Castle next door was closed.

I took a chance on this establishment because I was HUNGRY & I refill my water across the street @ wateria. I was very disappointed in the chicken /​beef combo bowl. I paid about $ 7 for nothing. Mystery beef? And I think my chicken was on a crack diet. With their skimpy ass portions. More rice less meat with teriyaki sauce that tastes CHEAP ! I know teriyaki and this place SUCKS ! Don’t waste your money. I haven’t found a place that beats golden bowl in long beach ! Should’ve just waited and went there !

The food quality is good, but the manager needs some people skills. He was arguing with my sister saying she told him the order wrong when at the end he realized he’s the one that screwed up. He yelled at her!

I was hesitant about going here after some reviews I read, but I was not disappointed. California rolls were fresh and my ‘small’ beef bowl had me full before I got to the half way mark. I’m happy with what I got and how much I paid. Just under $ 10 for both.

About average teriyaki. Sushi is not very tasty or neat. Owner needs to treat employees better especially in front of customers.

I really love this place. It’s right down the street from home. They have great food. The chicken is wonderful. They give you a good amount of food and the price is great. Save time and call in your order.

The super plate is awesome! Has a little bit of everything. Chicken and beef teriyaki (very tender and mouthwatering), shrimp tempura, 2 California rolls, salad (dressing is amazing), and MISO SOUP! Would of gave this place 5 stars if their rolls wouldn’t of been warm and falling apart =\ Overall the food is great!

Good place for teriyaki food, at cheap price. I have tried the chicken, beef and California roll and they are all good and they give you the miso soup with all your orders. The place is clean, big and quiet.

I love this place, lots of food and price is pretty cheap, I eat here about 3 times a week for lunch, everything I’ve tried so far has been good. Only negative about the place is no AC up in there! Other then that I love the place

Got the crunch roll and large chicken bowl. If I had just gotten the roll I would have given this place 1 star only. It was soggy, bland and loosely rolled so that it fell apart easily. Luckily I got the chicken bowl as well. Good portion and really tasty. The food came out quick and the cashier was nice. This may be my new go-​to spot for teriyaki cravings.

Food is mediocre but the reason it gets a one is the sheer over bearing the owner has for this restaurant. Limits on every and all sides, sauces, and drinks. I mean he is going over the top to stop you from taking his fermented cabbage (like it’ll cost him a fortune) and precious sauces’. Overall, would never go back here again.

Good fast cheap Teriyaki.
Can’t go wrong with a Beef and Chicken bowl for around $ 6.
I got here around dinner time on a Thursday afternoon and the place was full and surprisingly quiet. Too quiet.
Almost as if the Asian chef (who didn’t seem very nice) yelled at everyone to shut up or he’ll jump the counter and round-​house kick people in the face.
Either way, the food was good and I’ll be back soon.

This is a great little spot for a Teriyaki lunch. I’ve been here at least 30 times, and I probably should have written a review a long time ago.
Everything I have had on the Teriyaki menu is excellent, but I am more than a little skeptical of the sushi. If you’re in the area and have a craving for something Teriyaki for lunch, this place is an excellent choice. If you’re brave enough to try the sushi, knock yourself out.

It’s nothing special, but the food does fill you up. I liked their crunch rolls, but they took quite a while to make. If you’re hungry and craving teriyaki, this place will do.

After another visit not long ago, I finally decided that would be my last. Thinking about other past visits, the warm sushi rolls, mushy and gray avocado, etc. the decision was easy to make. The reason is the shrimp and vegetable tempura did not come with any rice like it did before and when I asked them about that, they said «no they do not serve rice, only shrimp and vegetable tempura». It did come with miso soup, though. The majority of Asians prefer rice with their entrée. The brocolli tempura was again not cooked, not crispy, sticky and doughey inside. Imagine biting into a brocolli head that was soaked in tempura dough and only half cooked so you actually bite into a sticky, doughey mess. Also, they did not cook my order up fresh when ordered. It was made beforehand and all they did was prepare the takeout plate, pour a cup of miso soup, add the items into a bag and after only a short drive home, it was already cold. I should have known better than to order it again, but I thought maybe this time… oh well, maybe not.

The Maya Plate is bomb. So are the California & Crunch Rolls.
