Wow decided to give this place another chance. What a damn joke! Waited in the drive thru line for 15 to 20 minutes to be told before ordering that they were out if rice! Are you serious! !! Out of rice!!! And i can’t even back out 4 cats behind me 2 in front! Complete bullshit! Who the hell runs this place? !

I’ve been waiting 20 minutes and still counting though for my food at the drive thru. Never coming at this time again.

I have enjoyed Yoshinoya for more than 20 years and they have made a lot of changes over the years but if you want Japanese influenced rice with meats, Yoshinoya is a classic spot.

This place has the worst service. I ordered a large angus beef bowl and large regular beef bowl and the girl at the drive through window corrected me on how to order. I also ordered a side of clam chowder that was like white water or milk and had nothing inside no clam, no chowder. The large regular beef bowl was watery and old. And on top of all that we had to wait forever at the drive through.

Today was not the best. Order was wrong twice. We had a coupon for 2 platers what came with 4 egg rolls and 4 wings. We looked at the receipt and saw no chicken or egg rolls. My hubby asked her and she looked at the coupon and noticed she messed up. She was very nice to fix it. She(Tony) was nice since we got there. We got our food and my hubby ordered teriyaki and beef like the receipt says. He got orange chicken. He went back again. Once they got to him they fixed it fast. Over all even though things got messed up they were very nice. My thing necessary to the 2 mess ups is the orange chicken. It’s bluh. I give it a 2 star in taste. This is my second time trying and still a no go. I tried it a 2nd time maybe that last time was an off day. Nope it’s just awful. I’ll stick to my teriyaki and gyosas(how ever it’s spelled) I miss their California rolls.

The slowest location ever. Be prepared to spend at least 25 min alone in the drive thru.

Wow. So let me tell you about this place. Well for starters this place has the worst customer service ever. Michelle was the manager that was suppose to be there that night but she was no where to be found. I ordered a TERIYAKICHICKENBOWL and when I received it I noticed there was no TERIYAKI on my chicken so I asked for it and the employee told me it would be 55cents extra for it. I have been to plenty Yoshinoyas and this is the first time I’m being told I have to pay extra for the sauce. The bowl consisted primarily of rice and vegetables with very little chicken. I got frustrated with the service and poor quality of food so I told the lady that I wanted to return my bowl and sauce and she said that I had to wait for a manager because they had to call corporate. REALLYYOURGOINGTOCALLCORPORATEAT10:10pm? REALLY!?! That’s the policy? Sounds like BS to me. I waited 10mins for a standard return of a $ 7 dollar purchase and then I was told by another associate that the return would take 3 – 6 business days to post back to my account. Wow all that for $ 7 worth of food. Not going back and I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

I normally eat Yoshinoya 12555 Alondra Blvd, Norwalk, CA90650. The food taste better and fresh than this place. Only one star because service is not good, asking ginger and food not taste fresh. I ordered my food with drink. The cashier did not give my drink right after ordering, so I just wait to have my food and drink at the same time. When my food was ready to pick up, I still did not have my drink, until showing my recipe; otherwise, I will not have my drink. Also no excuse for their service. What I have surprised was this place no ginger for customers on the table. Only chilly soy sauce. I though no ginger. It should have, but I do not ask. While eating, i realized that customers need to ask for ginger. I hate having a place like this. Also I doubt that Yoshinoya has different standard including services, different taste, and asking ginger, but this place is yes. U need to ask. If you like better taste try the address on my comments. Comparing Thai place, you will see. I will never ever come this place again.

I go to this location frequently because I live close by. It’s not as bad as a lot of these reviewers say in my opinion. It’s about on-par with other Yoshinyas. The service is good, the main entrees are done well, and I like the flan and cheesecakes here. The wings and gyoza are also quite nice. I don’t usually get any drinks from here so I can’t comment on those, but everything I regularly like to eat here has been good. Not exactly healthy,(especially since they don’t offer brown rice anymore) but tasty.

I have been loving Yoshinoya for 30 plus years ever since it first opened up in US. This particular place — I have coming for the past 2 years. It is sad to see that this place is falling — poor management is my guess. It has been not so friendly while food quality has been going down. It is sad to think I can no longer bear to come eat at one of my favorite food place!

Got off work last night 7:30 so hungry, wanted Taco Bell but the drive thru line was out the parking lot. Next door is a Yoshinoya never been to this location, i figure i havent had any in about 10 years, now i remember why, wth part of the cow does this beef come from it looks like pork chitterlings. Service from Gladys was horrible, i had to repeat my order several times, i read it exactly how it is on the menu but for some reason she wasnt getting it. Get to the window she is just plan confused with orders in front of her. Will never eat Yoshinoya again sooooo much fat, now i remember why i stayed away but i dont remember the food being this bad.

A few months ago, me and a co worker of mine went to this place and had the worst experience known to man. As we were eating our lunch my co worker noticed that he had problems drinking his soda, so he opened his cup and found it full of ants. Let’s just say it was horrible to find this in his cup. Since then we have not been to this disgusting place and we will never go there again. We work for a large insurance company and made it known to all who would listen about this nightmare of a place. Please never go there… And I have pictures to prove it as well.

Man I used to hate yoshinoya, but I later learned it’s about location sometimes. Sometimes the resturant chain sucks in general like peter piper pizza. Ay! Anyways back to the point, yummy beef bowl and combo bowl. I like the sweet taste to the beef even the onion that goes along with the beef. And the chicken, what can I say I just really love chicken. The yoshinoya by my house sucks, I don’t mind the drive to get better quality.

Yoshinoya… you either love it, or you despise it. This place has been out of sight, out of mind for me as of late. They aren’t too close to my pad, or my old office, and I never bothered looking for one by the new office. Then Chris C’s Yoshinoya talk thread popped up yesterday and I caught an artery clogging syndrome: Beef Bowl on the Brain. Is there one close to work? Yepyep. Oh crap. Eating here reminds me of days when I was young and dumb… going on late night TP-Raids back in high school, we’d almost always end up at a Yoshinoya… college years closing down the local Gardena dive bars, and then once again… Yoshinoya. Is it healthy? No way. I’ll get the craving every now and then, and then load up on greasy overly fatty pieces of beef sukiyaki meat over rice with onions, and then the beef bowl beast will be sated for another 6 months. If you’re like me and have fun idiotic memories associated with this place, you’ll walk in feeling good, walk out feeling ill, and do it all over again when the memory fades. 2 stars for the food, plus an extra for nostalgia’s sake. =)
