Of course, this listing is outdated, Bombay closed all its stores in this area several years ago, but I found out they do business online, so I ordered these two trunks that were on sale. They came damaged, and not because they were damaged in shipping, they were shipped damaged, and clearly damaged, wood stain that smeared over the houndstooth pattern, chips in the wood trim, a crack across a broad piece of wood trim… well, I had to go through an email circus to get them to decide on making a refund, and they are, so they send me the Fed Ex return label and say, we’ll call you to let you know how to proceed from here. They weren’t calling so I called them. The woman said, oh, just bring it to a Fed Ex place and they’ll attach the label. I said, Fed Ex is supposed to come and pick it up. She said, oh no, this isn’t an oversized delivery. I said, maybe not for you, but a big 25 lb. box is for me, I can’t lift this and carry it. She remained unimpressed, said, well, then, it’s up to the warehouse. Excuse me? I asked to speak with her supervisor. She told me she’s a «case manager.» So they’ll get back to me when they bloody well feel like it while I have this huge box in my living room. What a disappointment, I’ll never trust them again.
