I’ve been here a couple of times. Definitely a good place to go. Pricey, yes, but the quality of the food is worth it. Try the elk if you’re up for it. Beware, it’s not veal, so don’t go in expecting that.

Cool build out — one of the nicest in Park City. The food was very good with unique preparations. Service was excellent and attentive. Unilocal should rate it at $$$$ because every person is going to spend more than $ 60. The most basic entrée is over $ 40. Overall, one of the better restaurants in Park City.

It was good, but not great. The food/service/ambiance was good… just not great(especially for $ 175). Portions were huge, which I guess is a good thing and bad thing. I would have preferred 1⁄3 of the price and 1⁄3 of the dish … Food was flavorful and unique, especially for the local and Salt Lake area. Our server just seemed on auto-pilot and a bit disengaged with our experience or the food and let’s be honest, a server can completely change your whole experience! Lots potential here, but didn’t hit the mark for us at this price point.

There’s a great deal of detail from the decorations to the weighted goblet you drink water from, it definitely had a southwestern rustic feel. Our waitress knew the menu inside and out and the service was great. For appetizers my coworkers and I had the Guacamole Azteca with snow crab and fortunately, they went quite heavy on the snow crap. For the main course I had the London Broil of Elk because I’ve never had elk before. It was amazing. I highly recommend it.

Large portions, and beautifully presented dishes. We had a two for one coupon that made the dishes much more affordable. The spareribs were fantastic. The elk dish was decent; asparagus side with the elk was delicious. Overall 5 stars for taste and ambiance.

Went here with a group of 4. Unsure of Mexican food in Park City. Well we were pleasantly surprised about the GOURMET Mexican food. We had 2 apps and 4 entries. Each one was outstanding. The cerviche appie was outstanding. The diver scallops has a sweet savory sauce to die for. Ahi tuna taco, larger than expected. Black cod was with a bure blanc sauce and spaghetti squash. Yummy!!! Highly recommend you go here when in Park City.

We had a wonderful dinner here. My wife had the scallops and I had the braised ribs. Well worth the $$$. Their margarita was superb. It is served tall and had the right mix of lime-tart and agave sweet. We had the wild mushroom enchilada appetizer. The texture of the ‘shrooms was perfect, not too soft, but sautéed just right. What a great salsa! It’s enough to split 2 ways. On to the entrees… The scallops were simply fine. They come with broccolini and little multi-color new potatoes. The sauce was out of this world… An orange beurre with dots of pepper sauce. Very original and superb. The ribs were a presentation delight. Served as a standing rib, they are rolled after being cooked but before final glaze. The bed is hominy ribs are topped by two onion rings with mashed potatoes and onion spikes sticking out the top. Waiter said this is their most photographed dish and I know why! The taste was superb with a great smokey barbecue flavor that is truly unique. It tasted better than it looked. Don’t know when we will get back to Park City, UT, but this will be on our list when we do.

Favorite restaurant in town. I have been a couple times and loved it. The first time the experience was absolutely perfect, it was a low season weekend and the service and food were absolutely spectacular. However, the second time the service started off terribly. We were 5 minutes late to our reservation, but they made us wait another 25 minutes to be seated, and were pretty awful at handling the situation. However they ended up paying for our first drink which helped fix their image. That being said, the food is just spectacular. The first time I went, I ordered the scallops. They were so good that despite their great menu I ended up ordering the same thing next time I came. Also tried the ribs which not only are some of the best I’ve tried but could feed two people and the elk as well. They have great margaritas too. If possible, try to get there on day when they are not too busy and you will have an amazing dining experience.

Initially I thought this place was ridiculously expensive. But a couple things really helped out. We used a 2 for 1 entrée which allowed me to try the $ 44 duck enchiladas. They certainly were not worth $ 44 but at $ 22 it wasn’t so outrageous. Also they wave the $ 25 corkage fee if you get a round of cocktails — what a great idea! I liked the enchiladas but the garnish was sprigs of oregano which were hard to see in the dim lighting. I bit into a few of them which was unpleasant. My brother had the elk which he enjoyed but was a bit too chewy. The service started out really good but it took forever to get our main courses. I later noticed there were 2 bigger parties downstairs which may have caused the delay. Our server never once commented on the delay and became almost MIA. Still they comped a delicious chocolate cake for my brothers birthday which was nice.

Wowzer, if you are in Park City, make a reservation here! Not going to have much of a chance to walk in so make a reservation to insure you eat here! We were a large party so we got stuck in the middle of the room but thats ok, the food and service were excellent! Try the kobe beef(medium like the chef recommends), it was fantastic!!! The lobster and corn chowder was delicious too!!!(little sweetness which was unusual but such a great food) Its heavy so if you have salad and that chower($ 10) its all you need and its cheap!!! Friends had the ribs and beyond the fact the that its an art piece all in itself(a tower of deliciousness), the friends said it was also fantastic! 15 of us ate there and we all raved even 2 days later about our meal!!!

This was our least favorite restaurant in Park City. The atmosphere was very small and cute but it was awkward trying to walk around the middle tables. We were, however, seated next to the fireplace which was lovely. The service was OK. There was a server that always had waters filled and cleared plates quickly. We received items fast. Where they fell short was the food and the COST of said food. I usually don’t look at the cost and don’t mind paying for good food, but 46 dollars for enchiladas? The tuna duo was bland, we hated fighting to eat the queso and the short ribs were not all that Unilocalers said they were. We attempted the soup trio and chili rellenos and were underwhelmed. The fondue dessert was very pedestrian and the pastries were hard. The pour for our wine was short. This place is overpriced. Sorry.

This is our second visit, the first being a mucho bueno experience three years ago. I have to report the place is still one of the best in town but they may have lost something off the fastball. Tyler adroitly handled our table for seven, including two very young ones, and the manager also stopped by to check in on us. Even though the kids were served last I still have to go 5 star for service. Drinks were original and generous. The bottle of CA cab was delicious and reasonably priced at $ 65. Guacamole and crabmeat app was first rate. The black cod was imaginative and flavorful. The crown ribs were tender and succulent. The elk at medium rare, was very flavorful but I have to say it was a tough cut of meat. Yes I know it’s game but this London broil was actually difficult to manage with the provided utensils. All good, but I guess my biggest issue was one of those small details that can be meaningful. Four glasses of milk for the grandkids were charged at $ 4 each. The markup on milk is higher than wine! The kiddie meals were equally over priced. The burrito put in front of the two year old was blazing hot as if it had just come from a micro wave. I have no problem with a table full of $ 50 entre’s but price gouging to feed a two year old and five year old is just piling on. It’s a business philosophy for which I have no respect.

Very popular restaurant, especially during Sundance. We picked from the fixed menu which was $ 85 for 2 starters and a main. I got the Goat Cheese and Mozzarella Chile Relleno and Tuna Tartar Duo as a start. Which were so good, especially the Relleno. Then for my main the Puerto Nuevo Style Sea Scallops. The Sea Scallops were great but the beet mash and kales were ok. I think i got a lot of the spin of the kale, which I wasn’t a fan of. And beets usually not a hit with me. My boyfriend got the Sugarcane Skewer of Elk which he loved more this main the Grilled Kobe Steak. The quality of the food was good, and the service was great. Just very packed inside. Again, definitely worth the $ 85 in my opinion.

Chimayo is a very popular restaurant, especially if you’re there during Sundance, so prepare to be RUSHED through your meal. My friend and I were lucky enough to score reservations at 5pm on the first Saturday of the festival. The only option was the $ 853-course prix fixe, which turned out to be a great deal, though we still considered it a splurge. We wanted to make the most of it, especially since we hardly get to see each other, so we definitely took our time to enjoy the meal. Chimayo had other plans for us though. Typically you don’t bring out another course until the table is finished with the one they’re on. These guys brought out the 2nd course while we were about ¾ done with the 1st. And the 3rd course came while we were only ½ way through the 2nd. They kept asking if they could take our plates even though we were clearly still eating from them. I don’t think they appreciated us ordering dessert afterward, which we also took our time to enjoy. I get that Chimayo was trying to get more people through the door, but don’t sacrifice your existing customers’ experience simply to make a few more dollars. That’s how you lose business. Rushed service aside, the ambiance was awesome and the food was pretty good. I loved the table they gave us — a little corner booth upstairs with 2 side-by-side seats and a black gate-like partition creating a nice sense of privacy. The décor could be described as whimsical Southwestern meets cozy log cabin. The quality of the food was pretty good, and the portions were hefty! Again, definitely worth the $ 85 in my opinion. We had the Guacamole Azteca tostadas, Sugarcane Skewer of Elk, Spinach Salad, Asado Beet Salad, Mustard Encrusted Salmon, Black Cod, and the Fig Flan for dessert. We managed to eat most of it, along with a few glasses of the ’09 Ondalán from Rioja, Spain which was divine. I would have given 4 stars for ambiance + food, but we were really disappointed in the service.

Management is very understanding and has offered to try and make changes to accommodate??? We appreciated that management comp’d our meal but all we were trying to do is let Chimayo know they need to do something about the waiting area. I never said or implied the shoe didn’t fit. I find it very sad that a restaurant just writes off guests by saying«I guess the shoe doesn’t fit so move on»

Ate here for Christmas dinner and both service and food(actually, mostly the food) were exceptional. We were served free bread as soon as we sat down — freshly baked, soft and paired well with a garlicky/lime dip. We started off with the avocado salad which featured an avocado stuffed with veggies on a bed of salad leaves and a tangy vinaigrette dressing– yummy! Highly recommend the sea scallops with the sweet potato– the scallops were buttery and tender. The sweet potato was the purple kind instead of the usual orange variety. I also tried the elk which was also very tender and flavorful. Trout fajitas were good but not spectacular. Presentation was nice. Ambience/décor was medieval. We sat downstairs which I think is quieter than the upstairs area. A bit pricey, but after eating such delicious food you can mostly justify paying so much.

Sea scallops with sweet potato are AMAZING! Especially the sweet potato with pecan. Can’t go without trying these. The place is small… At least the upstairs was. I think there was a downstairs dining area. It’s decorated very nicely and the details are excellent. Waiters were very nice and always happy to help.

Fantastic! We loved this place. Great service, great food. We went on a Saturday evening, walked in at 5:30, sat us right away. Within 10 minutes, there wasn’t a single table available. We each ordered a different margarita, and they were both very good. Drinking in Utah can sometimes leave you disappointed, but these were very good. We ordered the Honey and Chile Roasted Duck Enchiladas appetizer, and for our main course my wife had the Puerto Nuevo Style Sea Scallops and I had the London Broil of Elk. We will be going back!

Wanted to do some fine dining in Park City and stumbled on this. Doesn’t compare to the food in LA, and with these prices I expect more flavor, but it is a nice restaurant with good service. We ordered some of their popular dishes and they were meh. FOOD Complimentary bread(5 stars): So soft and tasty! Best thing we got served here! Just carb load(= It’ll make you happy. Queso Fundido(2 stars): The chips and flatbread were good, but the salsa. not so much. The fondu tasted weird when we mixed in the salsa that came on top of it… so do the salsa on the side. Puerto Nuevo Style Sea Scallops(3 stars): Cooked well but not great flavors in the dish. Crown Roast of Barbecued Spareribs(3.5 stars): The ribs were cooked very well! Really sweet unless you eat it with the sauce. COUPONTIP 2 for 1 deal in the local newspaper the Park Record! Special thank you to the couple that told us about this as they left the restaurant! Saved us $ 40! PARKING Street parking. ATMOSPHERE Nice restaurant with nice décor. SERVICE(5 stars) Service was great! Didn’t catch our waitresses name but she was on top of all our requests.
