I’ve been trying to call them and place an order for delivery for two weeks now and NO ONE will answer the phone. I tried calling last week for two hours and no one answered so I tried again this week and still no answer. Idk if they have a new number or what’s going on but, this is ridiculous their service is horrible so I would rather not go in to place an order but, I love their food so I’m torn in between the two. This place really need to do better like seriously.

1^st time visit and ordered Shrimp Fried Rice combination platter. I thought the food was plentiful and was given what was ordered. Egg rolls, Fried Rice, fortune cookie, hot soup, everything was great and i enjoyed a good meal. The only reason i didn’t give it 5 stars was
while ordering i couldn’t truly hear the responses as i made the order and it was quite cold
inside that evening. Other than that the food was great and i will be back again!

Been coming here for years. Great food. Very fast. Pretty cheap too. Spend over $ 50 and sometimes they will throw in stuff for free. Plus you get a bunch of white rice with it too. Can’t go wrong.

Hole in the wall delivering cheap, fast, oily and mostly tasty Chinese American dishes. Portions are huge. Veggies are fresh. Flavor leans toward sweet. Think of a Panda Express with made to order dishes.

Food is everything you would hope for with take out Chinese, I have never had a problem with service. They are busy and working hard. Call ahead, pick it up, and they always say «thank you!»

Very rude service, got my order wrong and when I politely asked to change it I got extremely bad attitude and I also was charged 5 $ even it wasn’t my fault. Take ur business elsewhere

Omg please people do not eat here if your allergic to shrimp they use the same oil on all their foods I had a major allergic reactions because I am allergic to shrimp and not knowing they use the same oil of the shrimp to cook my food almost killed me… also the food there has no flavor even the Thai tea is nasty… no lie… if I could put no star I would.

I give this place 5 stars cause of the food it’s fresh made to order I call head of time knowing what I want and they have it ready in the 5 minutes I drive up to pick it up don’t care if they are rude cause never plan on staying any locker then 5 minutes it takes for me to pay and leave

Worst service you can possibly get. Food was ok but the service was some of the worst I’ve ever gotten. It’s like they’re mad that you’re there. I felt like they wanted me to leave. The food wasn’t worth it.

Four stars for convenience. Very close walk from friends’ house. Surprised that this place was good. We ordered to-​go a smörgåsbord of entrees (beef broccoli, kung pao chicken, beef chow mein, general tso’s chicken). Everything was good quality (for a place with a takeout feel). Will be back next time im in the area.

Even for a small joint like this they should have a little respect. The customer service is extremely poor the food is fresh but it ruins it due to the service!

I feel their food and customer service deserves two completely different reviews. The food is freshly cooked when you order it and is really good in comparison to other Chinese fast foods. However they only serve lunch til 3:30 but their lunch special is great! I drive here from Burbank just for the food. As reviews mention the customer service is terrible here. I’ve personally never had any major encounters besides rude gestures when they mess up my order but I have seen them be extremely rude to some customers numerous times. My review is majorly based on the food but if I could I would rate the service 1 star.

Sort of a love hate feel for this place. Outstanding food but 0 customer service. They really messed up on my Special Crispy Shrimp (only gave me half a portion but charged for full{actually, i don’t even know if they have «half» portions, maybe they just went cheap on me this time}). Online prices need to definitely be updated. Wasn’t expecting the price I ended up paying this time and I couldn’t even try to argue the fact because they don’t speak a word of English. Enjoyed the heck out of whatever amount they gave me at least and along with other great tasting entrees. Gave a 2 star because I was really looking forward to the shrimp and I’ve also let go of many other small mistakes in past experiences. This time the small portion of shrimp was personal! :/

I’m always amused by reviewers who expect 5 star service and cuisine from a hole in the wall family business. This place delivers precisely what you might expect if you are craving quick Chinese food. The food is freshly prepared, piping hot and tasty. Never made us sick, never disappointed in any way. Adjust your expectations and you will be surprisingly pleased by this local little gem.

Who cares about the rude service, it’s a carry out joint lol! Do you lames care about the 1 minute interaction with the lady taking the order or the actual quality of the food? This is one of the best, authentic fast food carry out spots in Pasadena. It’s a hole in the wall and I’d pick this place over P. F Chang’s in old town Pasadena any day. This is not a place to bring your family and eat but it’s the best carry out spot in town! If you want excellent service and horrible food then spend top dollar at P. F Chang’s. House Fried Rice All Day!!!

I’ve eaten here twice and gotten sick both times. I thought the first time might be a fluke but no. I’d definitely steer clear of their noodles or anything greasy.

The lady at the counter is so rude and rushes you to order if there were no stars that is what this place deserves

Bad service! Got my order wrong, we’re trying to argue with me that it wasn’t wrong! Had to drive back over here, & on top of that the food that I brought back they just gave it to another customer that ordered fried rice! That is pretty unsanitary! BAD PLACE

The woman that took my order was extremely rude! If you are not happy working there work some place else! I spent money there and if I have questions, answer them! I was told Your entire order is in there! She wanted me to hurry up and leave, because I told her she was rude! I get home and discover the teriyaki lunch is missing! I call and let them know my entire order was not there! She tells me to come back. I tell the woman, you rushed me out of there saying your entire order is in there! The woman hangs up on me! When I go back to get the rest of my «entire order» another woman is in the front. The rude woman stayed in the office. I asked if the owner was available? All of a sudden nobody speaks English!
I kept repeating myself, and finally she says the
owner is not here! The order was on the counter waiting for me. I picked up my daughter’s food and left! My daughter later read the reviews online, and says the reviews say food sits out all day, and the food isn’t fresh! The food is over priced and the service is horrible! Do not eat at China Express on Lake In Pasadena! I do plan on speaking to the owner about this rude woman! This place doesn’t deserve one star, unable to post without giving a star unfortunately.

I Calculated how much my order should be and it came up to 22.15 these sneaky snakes charge me 29.50…TF I called back and but her on blast and to cancel my order this lady charge me with out signing anything and when I told her she couldn’t do that she said oh we’ll and hang up in my face. I called my credit card bank so fast to block that charge. Wow I couldn’t believe how rude and sneaky they are NEV
