Egg Roll Express

Flies in the soup! I ordered takeout wonton soup and it came with a sprinkling of flies. Ordered steamed dumplings, got fried instead. Sigh. Last time I order from here.

We were here just now the food is great I’m coming back we had shrimp with broccoli eggplant with the special sauce my sister in law had chicken chow mein she loved it

Too salty… too ehhh. The establishment seemed very happy to see me when I walked in to place my order. The menu is overwhelmingly large. They make everything to order, so it seems as though it should be fresh.
The meat dishes lacked meat but was generous in sliced carrots and broccoli. The noodle dishes had plenty of noodles, but given that we ordered combination Chow Fun… the only combination I saw was the noodles and spouts scattered with a bit of chicken, a shrimp, and a small piece or two of beef.
I thought I’d give them a try as they have been located in the this cute tucked away neighborhood of Pasadena. As I walked out with my bag in hand, a noticed the «B» in the window. I’m sure it doesn’t really matter, but I do prefer A’s. By the looks of the kitchen where they are preparing things to order, a B seems to be on the generous side.

Yummy Wor Wonton Soup and overall a good place for chinese food. I’ve been coming here since I was a young boy and it never disappoints. The owners and staff are always pleasant and hapoy to greet their patrons.

This place is flopping for me now. Their restaurant is VERY DIRTY and Tony who used to work there has retired, a new man owns it who has worked there for years.
They increased the price of the vegan fare (they call it vegetarian) to such an exorbitant price that I barely go now, and its even SUPER expensive by delivery. In fact I just ordered delivery, and each time I have to tell them to not fry the veggie meat because one time they turned it into tough strips by over frying! At that price, its not worth it! Now I have to complain because I feel I have to mortgage my home to eat there.
I tried something cheaper there a while ago and it was SO SALTY it was hard to choke down. It was the chow mein. The entire time the owner was sitting there talking to me.
I dont mind, although I thought he was going to give me a discount because he sat there during my entire salty meal.
I was surprised when I got the bill.
SO this place is A BUST. even tho I like the people. they are losing their minds there. Whats with not cleaning the place? Also that big plastic bin with the won ton chips, is not hygenic.
EVEN THE FORTUNE COOKIES ARE NOW STALE. What happened to you guys?
The order I just received was over cooked white rice with warmed over veggie cashew nut. The brown sauce congealed over the veggie meat, telling me it was sitting around and not «made to order». Something being made to order is integral. In fact, I did have to complain this time and they replaced my order, but it still tasted different.
I will write another review if the place IMPROVES.

Food just wasn’t good. General chow’s chicken was supposed to be white meat but it barely was that, it tasted rubbery and parts of the inside were pink and dark.
Cheese crab puffs were damn near burnt with no taste at all.
Wouldn’t go back or recommend. I could’ve just ordered the crappy parts of the menu but I wouldn’t waste my $ 17 again.

Good, inexpensive food and they deliver, which is nice. I get it sent straight to my office when I can’t get away. :)

I have been going to this restaurant for quite some time now. And I must say I never get tire of their food. Is always fresh, delicious and the prices can be beat. Love to come here. My friend Tony always take good care of me. What’s up Toni? Love your shop!

70% American, 30% Chinese food, that’s what you have to expect when you go here or order online.
I like the place, it’s on my way home from work and I stop sometimes to pick up some stuff for dinner. You call in advance (20 to 30 minutes) and the food is ready for pick up when you arrive, I never had to wait.
The things I like the most here are all kind of egg rolls (that’s there speciality, it’s the Egg Roll Express!!) and any fried rice dish (Pineapple and Sweet Corn is the best of the best)
Overall, I’m happy with this place :)

I ordered delivery from this place last night on
. It was not good. First, I did not see that the estimated delivery time was 60 – 75 minutes until I hit send. That is a long time to wait. What is worse is that it took even longer than that, more than an hour and a half. I was hungry. I get the food and it is terrible. It was grossly overcooked. Shrimp was hard and shriveled, chicken was tough, wontons were beyond brown. It seemed like the food was ready long ago but they couldn’t deliver yet so kept reheating it. I don’t know about in house dining, but I will never order again. It was a waste of $ 30.

Wanted some Chinese food, especially Sesame Chicken. I found this place off of Unilocal and it is 1 mile away from where I am staying. I did the online ordering through Unilocal.The process was easy, convenient, and you can see the entire menu with prices. Great feature. I placed a pick up order for Sesame Chicken and egg roll.
Parking was sketchy because it was dark in the ally and I couldn’t see where I was going. The staff members were welcoming and nice. Great place overall, but the food was not so great. The chicken was like crumbed fried pieces of dough basically. I love Sesame chicken, but this was not serving me chicken though. A lot of food, but it didn’t taste that great to me.
I would try something else next time, but I may not be back because I love Sesame Chicken. This place didn’t serve what I like. I would suggest trying it out for yourself to get an idea.

I stopped by a couple of days ago. They have updated the place. I ordered combination pan-​fried noodles. It was very tasty. Place was much cleaner than used to be. I took it to go and my Scottie dog loved the noodles & shrimps. We were very pleased. ;)

Ordered delivery over Unilocal,took a shower and then it showed up! 15 minutes, such perfect timing. The food showed up hot and the plastic take out container was filled to bursting with perfectly greasy enough but not artery clogging Chinese food. Ordered BBQ pork chow mein and veggie chow mein and it came with fortune cookies :) overall great experience, food was delicious, would definitely order again. Thanks Egg Roll Express!

Great American-​style Chinese food. Fast delivery, great quality. Better than your average Chinese takeaway.

I love the kungpao chicken here. You will never find any better one than here. I have been here for long time around 6 years .they always serve good.

I really love this place. The egg rolls soups and Kung pao chicken very delicious. Also I like the old guy always serving us is wonderful.

I’ve Been coming here for years and today me and my wife had the worse time first she found some floaters in her water then she found rat dropping on a table behind us I will never come back here again. What’s funny is they have A in the window

Went here today and ordered BBQ pork fried rice and crab rangoon. The prices are pretty good, rice was $ 6.50 and they give you a huge portion of food. I’m a really big eater and they did not skimp on portions, they gave me enough to feed two people. The staff were nice as well.
My only complaint was the flavor of the food. Especially, the crab rangoon. They were OK at best and the rice was decent but nothing spectacular. The BBQ pork is definitely tasty though. I’d say the place is a little bit higher quality than your usual chinese food fast.
If you’re hungry and you want a lot of food at a low price with decent quality I’d hit up this joint.

Ordered many times for delivery, and dined-​in also plenty of times. They’re always super nice and the food is fantastic. Delivery is always on time.
Also — their prices are great!
My favorite is the beef fried rice.

Delicious Americanized Chinese food. Their chow mein can be a little oily and greasy but isn’t that what comfort food is all about?! I love this place. And they deliver which is a plus. Customer service is great as well.
