Really good breakfast burritos. Got the ‘famous’ burrito and it was bomb. I seen other peoples breakfast and it looked good as well. Want a nice, big, juicy, long burrito then come here. The salsa is very good as well, i mixed it with ketchup and it was a sweet/tangy salsa. Burritos starting at $ 7.

Bought a order of chili cheese fries for lunch today. Didn’t check my order fries were dry didn’t have any chili hardly on them. This is the second time they’ve done this. I won’t be ordering again 7 bucks wasted.

Whenever I think about having a legit cheat day, I come here. Lucky Boy sells your typical fatty American meal — burgers, sandwiches, fries, etc… but in XXL size. The portions here are unbelievably huge, and it makes you never want to eat again. I seriously come here some days for lunch and sometimes I am still full when it’s dinner time. I always order the same thing for lunch — the tuna melt(with avocado) and a «small» chili cheese fries. Both the sandwich and the fries can be split between two people. For breakfast, I get their bacon and sausage burrito(this burrito feels like it weights ONE pound). The food usually comes out in ~10−15 minutes. During the weekdays, it can get really crowded during lunch times… On the plus side about Lucky Boy is that you can order take out by calling them. There are signs that says there is $ 10 debit/credit card minimum. but it does not seem strictly enforced. Though Lucky Boys is similar to Tops, I prefer Lucky Boy.

I ordered a chef salad, apparently at this establishment that only includes, lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes(4), ham and chicken that was practically whole… to say the least I was disappointed, to make matters worse when I called to inquire the lady who answered the phone was beyond rude stating I could come back and get $.35 cents since that’s the price of cheese! Not sure who taught them what a chef salad is but it’s obvious they don’t have a clue! Save your money and go somewhere else! I know I will be!

Really good value for your money. This fast food place surprisingly does not have a drive thru, probably because the portions are so big they force to get out of the car to burn some calories. The dining area is pretty clean and well lighted. The menu is also very clean and was able to fit all of their items into two signs. There are two items that I highly recommend here. The breakfast burrito and the cheeseburgers. The breakfast burrito is the go-to item here. You have a choice of either getting ham or bacon, and you can’t go wrong with either one. The portions again are huge and you’ll definitely have a hard time finishing it in one sitting. The burgers are pretty good as well. The burgers are definitely on the big side and taste-wise it is comparable to what you get at Carl’s Jr., which isn’t bad at all. The fries here are acceptable and if I recommend getting the cheese fries, since the one time I get chili cheese fries it seems to be lacking any chili meat. Nonetheless, if you get the breakfast burrito or the cheeseburger, you won’t be disappointed! The service here is acceptable. They do a decent job getting the food to you in a timely fashion. They are also pretty reasonable with the condiments. When I asked for ranch they gave three pretty big packets of it. Overall, if you’re in a budget, looking for something greasy, and/or extremely hungry, check this place out!

I only go here for breakfast burritos, so that’s all I know of Lucky Boy. And they’re really good – big, filling, good ingredients. Seriously, I’m pretty much always happy with what I get. I will be back. My only complaints are that the service is not very friendly and they have a sign warning of a minimum $ 10 purchase using debit or credit cards. When I order and pick up my food here, I’m always greeted with this sort of indifferent attitude from the people behind the counter. Having worked in the service industry(and yes I get that it doesn’t pay a whole lot), I feel like it’s a sin to give customers the feeling they don’t matter. It’s very clear that I’m just #86 or #72 at Lucky Boy. Also, it’s now three years since I first went there, and they still have the $ 10 minimum order for credit card purchases warning. Unacceptable in 2016. You guys need to build the cost of accepting plastic into your food prices. That’s the way the world works these days.

Nothing special. Just your typical burger joint. Carne asada burrito was gross though. There was a bunch of pieces of fat in it.

If you are coming here on your lunch break I would suggested ordering ahead of time. This place is usually crowded between 12−2pm and it could save you a lot of time waiting for your food to be done. Strawberry shakes are really delicious almost remind me of the in n out shakes. Fries don’t have much seasoning but they do have salt, black pepper and ketchup on the side. Grilled cheeses are really good and a pretty good size, got full with half of one.

This place is amazing!!! I was able to leave school, order my food, and return to school in less than 30 minutes Their patty melts and breakfast burritos are amazing. Definitely a place to stop it if you’re ever craving a burger or burrito.

Lucky Boy is one of those places that makes me want to live in Pasadena. Great places like this are few and far between. We stopped by after viewing the Rose Bowl Parade floats, and were ravenous. Lucky Boy has a menu with so many great things that it’s hard to decide. Finally, my wife got a veggie burrito, my daughter a hamburger, and I got the standard(there are 3 kinds) breakfast burrito. The dining room is small, but nice for a local diner, and lots of Rose Bowl/Pasadena memorabilia is on the walls. These people obviously love living here, and it shows. While we were waiting for our food(it was a short wait), I noticed another patron mopping up some chili with her hamburger bun. «Must be good.», I thought. Little did I know… Our food arrived and holy Hell, this stuff is huge! The regular fries are the size of other places extra large, and the large onion rings were just plain too much. The burrito was close to the size of my forearm, and the burger was old school big with fresh shredded lettuce, tomato and sauce(thousand island?) We dug in, and my daughter was unusually quiet. She was too busy eating her hamburger. She’s usually kind of a pain, and there are only two other places that serve burgers she likes, but she went down on this bad boy and didn’t come up for air until it was ¾ done. Obviously, she liked it a lot! Wifey could not finish more than 25% of her veggie, and I got 2/3rds done with my breakfast burrito and had to stop. I’m a pretty big guy @ 6’5″ and 230#, but this burrito defeated me. And it ws good — real good. My compliments to the person who had a heavy hand on the bacon, and the bacon was cooked well to boot. The fries and rings came home with the rest of the leftovers. Wow — these guys really know how to feed people! So now I am sad — because I have to wait until I get up to Pasadena again from Orange County. Until then, the Lucky Boy Breakfast Burrito and I will have to meet in my dreams.

Their breakfast burritos are quite the bad boys. These hefty guys are chockfull of whatever you choose. I went for the Bacon Avocado burrito which had about half an avocado stuffed in there. The food itself wasn’t as memorable as the experience of trying to first hide it in my boyfriend’s waistband to bring into the UCLA game and then trying to finish the last 20 bites which suddenly tasted like mostly egg. I’d highly recommend splitting.

Lucky Boy rocks… My son and I had a gluttonous day of culinary consumption. We had lunch at Dog Haus Biergarten before the UCLA/Cal game and then Lucky boy after. OMG cardiac arrest and caloric overload. lol It was my son’s first Lucky Boy experience. He’s hooked omg what have I done. He had the Carne Asada burrito with avocado. omg huge seriously it’s a weapon, so fresh and hot, big bold flavors and truly a belly bomb. Dad had the breakfast supreme Carne Asada, hash browns(crispy), cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs, avocado and salsa. Wow just wow. That’s a double workout in the morning kinda meal or as a few of my workout diva former girlfriends would say Oy Vey as they struggle with the idea of ever indulging and the sheer amount of Bootcamps and Soul Cycle sessions it would take to justify such a meal… Lucky boy is not for the culinary faint of heart, calorie counters, those dieting or worried about consuming a weeks worth of calories at a sitting lol No frills, tablecloths, sommeliers or Amuse Bouche from the chef. Good old fashion grub but done really really well. BTW the Pastrami, there Burgers and the Zucchini fries are the bomb as well. The original location on Arroyo was always my go too over the years when in Pasadena or going to UCLA games at the Rosebowl.

A friend and I shared a bacon breakfast burrito. The bacon was nice and crispy and the eggs were lightly seasoned. However, the potatoes were bland. So was the watery salsa on the side. No heat. Other than the fact that it did tasted clean it lacked flavor. Made me miss The Shack even more.

Nothing fancy just good food! Had to be in court up the road so I stumbled into Lucky Boy. I ordered the Bacon Avocado Burger and I never seen burger with so much avocados. Bacon is nice and crisp meat could be bit thicker but has nice char flavor. Fries are thick and taste great with ranch. Seems like the breakfast burrito is the thing maybe next time. Prices are little high but portions are big so that makes up Service is good and décor is cool. Not sure about the parking since I walked over here. I will definitely be back!

I’ve only been here a couple times and each time I’ve ordered their breakfast burrito with bacon and sausage. This place is probably my second favorite breakfast burrito! You definitely get your money’s worth when you order their burrito. When I ordered their burrito it came out to about $ 8-$ 9? I was charged a little extra for adding meat into it and a drink. But like I said you definitely get your moneys worth! Each time I’ve had it I can only eat half. It has the perfect ratio of potatoes, egg, cheese, bacon, and sausage. The bacon is still crispy too! Unlike other breakfast burritos I’ve had where the bacon is soggy-ish. The only complaint I have about their burrito is the salsa they serve with it is not that good. I usually just use one of the bottles of tapatio that they have instead. If I lived closer this would definitely be one of my go to breakfast burrito places. Definitely would come back here and maybe I would try something else on their menu… but their breakfast burritos are too good! Haha.

Legit burrito that’s enormous in size but particularly average. Filled with plenty of potatoes, bacon, egg and cheese but I prefer if it were all chopped so you get a little bit in every bite. Whole strips of bacon centered around the eggs and potatoes but if you don’t bite into it, you may yank out a strip of pig fat. Salsa lacks the flavor to enhance the taste of the burrito causing it to taste salty half way through the burrito. Prices are very reasonable and food is served fast. Parking and location is convenient.

Although this is not the original lucky boy, I’ll still come here since it’s so close to my house. The burritos are not cheap but boy are they filling! My favorite is the bacon breakfast burrito with avocado. It comes filled with lots of potatoes, egg, bacon and half an avocado. It’s about $ 8.50 because the avocado is extra. I enjoy the salsa/hot sauce that comes with it! It gives it a good kick! I’m a hot sauce fanatic so I always get two since it’s a massive burrito. It’s seriously like having a newborn in your hands. I enjoy this location because there’s parking and it’s not on a busy street like arroyo. The seating area is usually clean, but I mostly call in a do take out. Heads up, they only take card if it’s over $ 10!
