Dang it!!! Why are you Closed??? Was it the extra thick napkins or the unlimited fortune cookies that took you out?!

OUTOFBUSINESS Went there tonight and the sign was off and it was closed and empty, It is now out of business. Sign in the window told you to go to P. F Changs. Not a fan of P. F Changs and its much more expensive so I think not. No location even remotely near Pasadena. Wonder why it closed, it was always busy?

Was the most amazing upscale Chinese fusion fast food restaurant in Pasadena. I loved their lettuce wraps. However, tragedy has struck and the Pasadena Pei Wei is no longer in business. Shock took over as I realized that my favorite restaurant in the area was now gone!!! RIP.

This place is like a cross between Panda Express and PF Chang — not quite as expensive as PF but better quality than Panda Express. The staff is really friendly and the food comes out pretty quick. We shared the lo mein noodles, the lettuce cups, honey chicken and the asian chopped salad. All were very good. Will definitely come back!

This is my daughter’s favorite place to eat. Since she is such a picky eater we come here often. She likes the chicken teriyaki with white rice on the side and extra sauce on the side. I like that its a far better and fresher choice than those fast food burger places that serve chicken nuggets and for under $ 5, including a kid’s drink, why wouldn’t you choose this over the Golden Arches??? What I usually order is their King Pao Shrimp with brown rice, their Mongolian Beef with brown rice, or their Lo Mein with chicken cooked well done. All three choices taste really good and the portions are not skimpy. I’ve ordered other items, like the sweet and sour shrimp and the orange beef, but these three are my favorite. The staff is very friendly and the food is prepared quickly. I’ve never been disappointed with this location.

This place was really good, very filling plates without the stuffy stomach feeling. Price reasonable, free beverage refills, serves alcohol, deco modern, you can mix meats with almost any dish. Have only visited once but I am sure I will return. Great place to dine in without the dine in price, not a 1st date type of place! More like a «lets get our grub on but be able to physically function after» In my opinion it is better than Pik Up Stix, I hate eating out of them little boxes they serve you! Enjoy!

I had a to go lunch order at Pei Wei. I was able to park easily and the person took my order quickly. The order was very professionally handled and I was given all the food packed with plates and utensils. The packing was done in a very professional way a I loved the way the order was handled. I also left my business card in the weekly drawing and I got a email that my card had been selected and I got coupons for my next lunch. I love the food from Pei Wei its delicious and the price is awesome.

I went here with my mom for a Mothers Day lunch. It was scorching HOT outside and when we came in, my face was almost melting. Embarrassing, I know. As the guy was handing me back my change, he said that he’ll try to crank up the A/C. I thanked him and moved on. Once we were seated, my mom and I were fanning ourselves, trying to get used to the room temperature. I thought the staff’s offer to crank up the A/C was just small talk, as would any good service staff would do. I wasn’t expecting anything really. But a few minutes after, he stopped by our table and said, «I’m really sorry but I can’t do anything with the A/C. But here are coupons for free appetizers on your next visit.» Surprise surprise! Talk about great service! For that alone, we are definitely coming back. I’ve always liked the food here. Yes, the variety is quite limited but those that I’ve tried are really good. The portions are just perfect. I recommend that Mongolian chicken and the Honey Seared Chicken. And oh, they have free unlimited fortune cookies located by the drink fountains! That’s always a plus.

Its really not all that bad. Ingredients are fresh with plenty of options for anyone! Orders come out quickly and its affordable. The problem with Pei Wei is that all their food comes with too much sodium. The ingredients are basically swimming in the sauce as it makes the meal altogher salty and too strong for my taste bud. Honestly, i like panda better. Panda’s lunch items have quick(refil) turn around time and I’ve never got any items that were not made within 5−7minutes of my purchase. Panda has more veggies in their dishes(if you are getting the ones with veggie), their fried rice is made with brown rice so you dont pay extra for brown rice plus you could control the portion by choosing a bowl, 2 item or 3 item plate.

I was skeptical to eat here as I read the not-so-good reviews, but the majority ruled in my party of 9 hungry co-workers. We got there for lunch and the dining room was packed, so we ate outside. Aside from the cool weather, the tall building shielded us from the sun. It was nice to eat outside. Despite being packed inside, our 9 orders were placed quickly, and when they were delivered, along came some complimentary appetizers! Wow, they treated us pretty well. Service was great and all the food was fantastic. Aside from the food being packed with a sodium heart attack, the sauces and flavors were on point and really good! All of my co workers had great things to say about their food, and all the plates looked very appealing. Despite finishing my entire large plate of food… I couldn’t figure out why I was hungry an hour later :-)

Not bad for fast food Asian food. They serve Chinese, Thai, and Korean. Everything is fresh and made to order when you place the order. They are generous with their protein in their portion size.

I’d have to agree with the overall 3 star rating that this location receives. Pei Wei is the take out version of PF Changs. It is decent at a price point of $ 8 – 9 for a plentiful meal, plus I snagged a buy-one-get –one deal off their website. I didn’t love the pepper chicken or honey shrimp, but liked the Vietnamese spring rolls and the noodle dishes better. If I were down the street I might swing by in the future. But it’s doubtful that i would make the 25 minute trip from my house again.

Why oh why do only so few Pei Wei’s exist and why are they all outside of LA proper(Pasadena & Torrance)? The food is simple and clean, which is the best way for me to describe it. Think of a more Americanized version of Panda Express with less grease and slightly higher in quality or an express version of PF Chang. It’s quick and easy, and the ambiance is tres decent for a fast food place. Note: Pad thai will NEVER be sweet here, in fact, no sweetness at all so it almost tastes like another noodle dish all together but they give you a good portion of it. Free fortune cookies in the condiments section that you help yourself too. Location: in a strip mall plaza Parking: free parking lot

Never as good as I expect it to be… This is such an excellent concept… and they really aren’t doing anything wrong. Service is fast and cheerful; portions are well-sized; prices are fair. The menu is inviting, and the restaurant is clean and orderly and welcoming. Ingredients are fresh and high-quality. And the food is Not Bad. But it should be more, it should be better. The sauces are under-seasoned or spiced. Most of the dishes taste the same. It’s all just too bland, too blah to merit repeat visits. I would like to see this company kick out the jams and start serving some Really Good Food. They’ve got all the game pieces on the board — the failure is in the courage to execute.

I’m usually pretty hard to please when it comes to Chinese food. I try to refrain from it because of all the oil they normally add, but Pei Wei surprised me. Obviously, Pei Wei serves very Americanized Chinese cuisine – similar to that of Panda Express, except they make your dish to order. I opted for one of their signature dishes… Chicken with Ginger Broccoli on Brown Rice. The dish was lightly flavored with sweet soy sauce, scallions, garlic and ginger. I actually really enjoyed it and finished the entire plate, minus some bits of brown rice. I’d definitely come back here again. I try to opt for more healthy entrees, but of course, there’s tons of fatty ones here to choose from as well. Don’t forget to get your free fortune cookies located near the beverage area!

Asian Chopped Chicken Salad is my favorite. You can have a meal here for a reasonable cost — two people, under $ 20. Menu items are consistent from one location to another. It is easy to order. Your meal is quickly delivered to your table.

We’re 0 for 2 at this place. Kung pao beef — WAY too salty Thai basil chicken — too sour(expected to be sweeter) Honey seared beef — too sweet, and«beef» didn’t seem beef-like(don’t know how else to explain it) I’ve unsubscribed from their e-mail list.

OK, What is the deal with Pei Wei. For take out, I ordered 3 dishes: mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, and lettice wrap for a bill of $ 25.00. The portions are very small. I lived many years in Alhambra, and there are many chinese restaurants there with many chinese people in the area. I ate many times at the local restaurants which are all chinese. You know, chinese cooks, waiters, hostess, patrons, etc. Pei Wei’s food would be ok if the restaurant was in the middle of the USA,(Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, etc) for the locals that live there, but for being in an area of a million plus chinese people and 1000’s of chinese restaurants, the food just does not cut it. The main cook was NOT chinese, of which I found to be really odd. Experience: pass on this place, their restaurant and business plan is not competitive

The food came out pretty quickly here — orders came out in what seemed like under five minutes. I ordered the hot and sour soup and I thought it was pretty good, although a little salty. I also ordered the Spicy Korean Steak which was good but was pretty salty. I ended up feeling thirsty later that night and the next morning! They also give you the choice of brown rice to go with your meal. Being that this isn’t a full service restaurant, I have to rate the restaurant more on the food, and since the food was so salty. three stars.

A friend and I split the pad thai with chicken, and we were both satisfied by the portion. Make no mistake, we are hungry ladies, so that portion is no shrimp(actually, it’s chicken! ahah. ha…heh? i try… too hard, perhaps…). I also ordered two crab rangoons, which were surprisingly good, if you’re just looking for a quick bite. Though, the sweet and sour sauce was nothing special. We went around 3 p.m., so the diner was pretty empty. One of the employees was eating by himself at a table not too far from us. He was cute! Sigh… but no matter how attractive the servers are, it doesn’t change the fact that Pei Wei’s is just a cheap Americanized Asian diner. It can be great if you’re in the mood for that, but if you’re looking for food you can savor, turn elsewhere. I’d eat here if I was passing by and too lazy to walk the extra 200 meters to Chipotle.
