Terrible music. Terrible crowd. Weak drinks. Overpriced AF. And the performers NEVER come out on time.

I booked a VIP table here for New Years Eve and the experience was absolutely terrible. I don’t even know where to start: 1) We waited on line for about 30 minutes in the relatively short VIP line in the cold before we were let in(the general admission line was going MUCH quicker than the VIP line — not very«VIP» at all). 2) We were given general admission bracelets when escorted to our VIP table, the bouncers wouldn’t let me back in to the VIP area when I left to use the overcrowded bathrooms until I called my girlfriend over to vouch for me since they gave us the wrong wristbands(stupid mistake for them to make). I had to ask them 3 times for the other bracelets, finally getting them changed after about an hour of waiting. 3) When we left our table to go to the dance floor, we came back to a missing(almost entirely full) bottle. When we told our waitress she immediately knew which table to go to in order to get it back(now almost empty). When I asked for a new bottle they told me no. I asked to speak to a manager and was waiting for over an hour. Eventually I walked up to the front booth, getting tired of waiting, and all they would offer is $ 50 off the bill(less than 10% of the total cost — bs). I found out later from the other table that someone took their bottle and the waitress said she would get them a new bottle from the bar, instead she brought them OUR bottle(last time I checked that’s theft). 4) We had to wait another hour for our bill when we wanted to leave. My gf fell down their wet stairs while going to the dance floor in high heels and hurt her foot. This place is completely unprofessional and not worth the money, especially for VIP. It’s too bad because the music, atmosphere and crowd isn’t too bad(giving 2 of 5 stars). But the location isn’t anything special(never can find parking) and the staff needs to be seriously overhauled. I typically don’t write reviews, but I wanted to come on here to warn others from coming here and having a miserable night when you can go somewhere else and have a great night.

There are some redeeming qualities where I can comment. The 70’s band was extremely entertaining and their music brought me back to my childhood. The bartender in the main dance area was friendly, attentive and her service was immediate. They were the best part of my experience and I was thankful for that. The bathroom was clean and had a friendly attendant who earned every tip well. Sadly, the bar service in the front area by the entrance was poor at best. They were understaffed and inattentive. They lacked courtesy and looked down as they passed patrons in the middle section of the bar! I saw several patrons leave angry, only to find them at the back bar completely changed. I observed a male bartender serve only one patron and ignore the rest. Simply because the patron was an attractive female. Shame on him!!!

Music is awful. DJ talks way too much, changes music at too quick a pace. The only people dancing were drunk as hell. Literally felt like 80% of the people who showed up were only trying to get laid and nobody could actually dance, but i blame that on the dj. Bartender doesn’t even give a cup of water for free, which is required of all establishments. Awful experience. Avoid.

Great place to see a band. Beers are priced fairly at $ 6 for 12oz pours or a bottle. Other than the scunked Miller Lite at the back bar, my experience here was positive. And I had no issues with the bouncers or other staff. Then again, us metal fans are generally a chill bunch of people. Perhaps the staff wear a different hat depending on the genre of music.(10/14/2015 — cannibal corpse and cattle decapitation)

Before I even start my review, are people really surprised that bouncers are harsh to people at hip-hop or DJ shows? I love hip-hop, but the fact is about 80% of fans attending these type of shows are d-bags, and fans of DJ’s? 99%. Anyway, I had no negative experiences with any of the staff; quality craft beer is only $ 6 for 12 oz. pours, which is better than every NYC venue. Although their Founder’s tap handle stated«Porter,» but was I believe All Day IPA, and the bar tenders also did not know which Dogfish Head variety they had. Deducting a star for this inexcusable lack of knowledge; the sound quality is decent; venue size is perfect; I like how there is a GA pit is down a small flight of stairs and that you can just stand at the balcony in the back and watch the crowd and the show all at once, if you so choose. If you come here for an actual band I doubt you’d be disappointed. Long Island is in need of music venue’s like these. I hope more bands make it here.

Based on the reviews of this place, I consider myself lucky that I did not get robbed, beaten up, or thrown out for spurious reasons. I saw the Bouncing Souls here last night and was extremely worried after reading Unilocal reviews yesterday afternoon. Thankfully, I had a mostly positive experience.(I suspect females get treated better by security staff than males.) No staff member was even slightly rude to me, and I was also able to get in with my tactical flashlight(which the bouncer did take a look at and approve). This helped me feel a lot more safe since we’d had to park almost a half mile away and I was not relishing the thought of walking through the dark, even with a male companion, without some means of defending myself. The venue is nice-looking and pretty clean but very stupidly laid out. Without paying for almost certainly overpriced VIP access, there were very few places to stand where one could take in both the stage and the crowd.(Watching the pit at a punk show is really entertaining.) The general admission area was smaller than I’d thought it would be, meaning almost every area of it was in danger from the pit, and there were few other alternatives of good places to be. Compared to, say, Gramercy or Williamsburg Music Hall, this was pretty poorly designed. Parking also sucked, but I guess that’s a given. Overall, not the raddest venue ever, but thankfully not a horror show. I hope the Souls, when they next return to Long Island, opt for the Paramount instead.

Bouncers are all a bunch thugs that rob and shakedown the customers. Even worse in the VIP! We went to see a snoop dog«show». After waiting till 1:30 in the morning snoop finally hits the stage for four songs. Whack. And don’t let me get into the dress code. Listen if your going to have hip hop acts the dress shoes and no hat policy is not cool at all. Also the pat down before you get in is a bit extreme. They are looking for one thing and one thing only… a tip not to take your belongings. Never going back to this BS spot again.

Bunch of no college having kids with power in their hands, tonight I saw one hit a women, they’ve seen that in their daily life so they feel it’s normal… These kids have no purpose in life horrible bouncers, btw apparently you’re not allowed to boo at shows anymore you’ll get kicked out. I saw riff raff last night, he sucked soooo bad I started booing, next thing I know this guy kicks me out, they’re all frustrated they couldn’t become cops now they have to kick out people because they get power trips

Came here last night to see Badfish. Never having been there before so wasn’t sure what to expect. Place is really nice. Large well laid out, with couches and many bars and places to stand and sit. The bartenders looked miserable not one happy one the entire evening. I mean we got our drinks quick and i guess thats the point but man did they look like they would rather be any where else but there. The band was amazing and sounded great. The crowd was def eclectic. Lot of backwards baseball caps and hipsters with beards. It was an 18+ show and being ancient at 48 i felt really old but the crowd was chill and no drunks or douchebags that i saw around. The staff keeps that place clean as hell. There were multiple people walking around with cloths wiping the floor constantly. The yellow t shirt Staff event people were milling around also so the place was safe. The bathrooms were awesome and clean and i unfortunately didn’t bring cash so i couldn’t tip the lady in there. Why do they even need bathroom attendents Im pretty sure everyone can reach their own paper towel. I felt bad i had no cash. We spent over 160 $ between the 3 of us and no buy backs either. Would def return again to see a great band. Disappointed Post Modern Jukebox cancelled their show there.

Acoustics horrendous. Sound bouncing off everything. They will charge a cover for no name bands and you aren’t allowed to peek in. Dark, overpriced. Not a fun vibe. Sound stinks for a live band joint.

This place is a total joke. Me and a friend came to see Method Man and Redman, which should of been totally awesome right? Wrong. Let me just say that I understand certain establishments have dress codes, but for a Method Man and Redman show, not being allowed to wear a hat is super lame. What’s even more lame is selectively choosing when to enforce that dress code. I saw people get kicked out for wearing hats while other people 15 feet away wearing hats got to stay. Clearly I’m angry about the whole hat thing but that’s not all. Doors were 8pm for the show. Obviously I’m not expecting the headliner to go on at 8pm, but at least put legitimate performers to open up the night. From 9pm-12:30am we had to endure quite possibly the corniest and most God awful excuse for a performance I have ever witnessed. Did you really think ten dudes with microphones walking around singing over recordings of biggie qualified as a performance? Id rather just hear the biggie recording without some dudes interjecting when they happen to remember a lyric. I seriously want my money back. This was not only an insult to hardworking musicians and performers everywhere, but a smack in the face to your patrons who spent good money to come here. Oh ya and when I left my credit card here? Because we were forced to get drunk to the point of enduring the terrible opener? You wouldn’t even unlock a safe and give it back to me when I came back for it the day after. I had to cancel the card. Steer clear of this dump and the clowns that inhabit it. There are many other legitimate venues/bars in the area that actually deserve your money.

I was told I was not allowed to wear a hat to the Method Man and Redman concert, yet I saw multiple people entering the venue with a hat on. When I asked the bouncer, who I eventually found out to be the head of security, Jay, I was physically assaulted. Not only by him, but by another unknown person, who I’m going to guess is an «off duty» employee based solely on his actions. Police arrived eventually, and although both Jay and Unknown assailant acknowledged that they had physically assaulted me, the Officer proceeded to escort me down an alleyway to the parking lot where my car was located. He stated that it’s better for me to just leave. I wish I would have known that the venue I paid to attend had a discriminatory relationship with it’s customers, because I would have never wasted my money. And you shouldn’t either.

I like the place, but the band last night was beyond horrible. The Amish Outlaws?! Men dressed as the amish singing the Top 40. and singing very, verrrry badly. My friends and I couldn’t stand it anymore and left.

A new landfill created in patchogue? When did this happen! Oh wait it’s just emporium. Overpriced drinks, inept bartenders, and unruly slobs that you would typically find at a frat house. Save your time and money and go to the many other bars around!

Went here on a sat night over the winter. We waited outside for a good 15 minutes, which wasnt that bad but then again it was not cold. 10 $ cover, and a coat check. Inside the place is huge, from the outside it looks deceptively small. However, it was very crowded. I felt like no matter where I stood someone was bumping into me. The dj was really good, but the dance floor area was too small and people were packed in like sardines so there was no way I could comfortably fist pump without taking someone out. With three bars we never had a problem in acquiring a beverage quickly. I originally started out with a vodka tonic, which was pretty much just tonic. Alcohol prices were on par with what you would expect from a place like this, meaning erring on the expensive side. The clientele was younger, and people dressed very clubby(a lot of heels, gel, tight skirts, etc). Outdoor beer garden area was nice but was mostly just people smoking, it did have some nice heat lamps though. Overall its a nice place if you want a club atmosphere, but for me music was way too loud to have a conversation, and many people seemed to have an attitude. Also, I think this place has a tendency to spawn fights and general ruckeses(I saw a couple almost break out). Not my scene, would be ok never going back unless it was a quieter night or earlier in the night.

SECURITYLINENEEDSHELP! — Seriously… How & Why in the world do you have ONE guy on bag check the night of a rock concert?!? Maybe have 2 — yes, I said MORETHANONE guy checking bags and ID’s!!! — with that said, if you’re going to say no cameras unless you have a photo pass then ENFORCEIT! I was there to see my friends band, approved BYTHEM to take photos — since I was on the security line for 20 minutes to get in, then as I’m getting hassled about how there is no photo pass for me, the band I’m there to see and take photos for hits the stage and OFCOURSE how am I going to get them NOW to get me a pass! THANKS! — oh and then offer to HOLD my camera at coat check — Umm — NO Thanks, I will RUN back to my car on the other side of town(big events mean a SEVERE lack of parking!!) and yes you WILL let me jump the security line since now I have NOBAG and NOCAMERA! So now, let’s jump ahead to inside… OK, once inside to see my friends band and the venue is nice and the layout is a little strange, but it works. But what I’m noticing is a guy who got a camera in… HOW? and WHYHIM? — especially considering it was a point & shoot! Not a single security guard questioned him… NOTHING! He was also in my way the entire time I was trying to watch the show/take pics with my phone! There are bars all over the place, but the main one by the smoking section/biergarten needs more than 2 bartenders on a busy night, especially when you have the hockey playoff games on close-by! The overall layout with the restaurant in the middle if different, and I like the concept of getting a bite to eat while at a show, but I did not eat anything there, friends that did were mixed about it, I mean I guess in reality it is maybe a baby step above bar/pub grub! Other points: –Beers were the average — not a huge selection… –Smoking section is rather large and should be called that rather then biergarten since well there was NOBAR in the smoking section… –Nice venue to see bands that have smaller fan-bases and can’t play the place in Huntington… –Multi-leveled place, stairs all over the place and while they were accommodating to a guest in a wheelchair, this place is not handicap friendly… and back to security — had a friend of mine get to the venue and wait in line and listen to the band she was there to see the ENTIRE time she was on line! WAYTOGOEMPORIUM! I will be back at some point I’m sure… I go to too many concerts and events not to be back here and hope that someone reads this and FIXES security!

Looking at the place from the outside u would not know how big it is unless u have visited before… once u are inside that’s what first caught my attention, this place is HUGE !! I was here this past wknd w friends & was pleasantly surprised. Not sure what the cover charge is regularly but it was $ 10 dollars not bad at all. Once inside we got settle & enjoyed the rest of the night, huge place lots of space to walk around, plenty of bars around, the middle one seems to be most crowded, the girls here seem to have a bit of an attitude tho, prices for drinks were pretty decent $ 12 dollars for 2 beers. Loved the lights & the house music, they do change it up w some hip hop & different mixes in between which is great good to have a decent mix of music. Plenty of eye candy for girls & guys, only thing is that most people are pretty plastered & well doesn’t look so hot… funny to watch the drunks getting around & bumping into everything, I gotta say this was the most annoying part of this place, everyone bumping into u & not even saying excuse me. I had fun here, it would be great if this place was closer so I could visit more often but not a big deal having friends that live out here I’ll probably stop by again.
