I have been going to this place since 2009, one of my all time favorite places. I’m a local to this area and once you get past the busy streets, hard to find parking and long waits at the bar or for a table you’ll be fine. I have never been disappointed with the food or drinks here but there are a few things one must get used to. Every host at Perabell is rude, stuck up and bitchy. Not the best impression when you walk in because you never get a happy face. Every waiter/waitress has been great to me. The bartenders are okay, depends on who’s there. Some are inexperienced and it shows, but hey, practice makes perfect. This place is small and BUSY! Be prepared to wait at the bar and get ignored for about twenty minutes. Be prepared for LONGWAITSFOR A TABLE and my suggestion is to always try to make a reservation.

I love perabell. Great service. I love everything on their menu especially their burger! I’ve had so many different meals here and all are delicious. They are always very consistent too. I think their happy hour is the best in town. It’s very cozy in the bar area, where I prefer to eat actually. I haven’t been to their new location but looking forward to making the trip to riverhead to try it out!

This was a first time for husband and I. Roomy place but décor was nothing to write about. Lunch menu is very limited. May I suggest they add a turker burger to the selection.. Server Ray was a nice guy and attentive. We had soup and sandwiches for lunch. You must try the Kale with sausage and potatoe soup. Excellent! ! My chicken sandwich was tasty but almost impossible to hold and eat without falling apart. It was alittle on the oil side as well as the french fries. My husband’s roast beef was to salty. We both enjoyed the fresh Coleslaw. I’m glad I gave it a try but nott sure if I’ll return.

My husband and I have been going to PeraBell for years and celebrated our milestones there with date night dinners including our engagement, home purchase, news of 1st pregnancy and most recently our gender reveal for baby #2! I arranged everything in advance without my husband knowing why we were going and the staff was amazing in keeping mum until we ordered desert and the brought out cake instead! It’s a girl and we were thrilled to have PeraBell be a part of another big announcement for us!

Been to PeraBell many times and I can honestly say, the food has always been good and the prices are completely reasonable especially for the quality meal you get here. My problem with this restaurant is the service and the way it operates. I have gone there for dinner when it’s been EMPTY and they’ll tell you a 45 min wait. I have gone in there when ½ the restaurant is full but still plenty of tables and they will still tell you 45−1hour. I have been there plenty of times where there are empty tables and the owner tells the host to stop seating to let the kitchen catch up. There are so many excellent restaurants in the area, that I’ve come to the point that I pass right by PereBell just because of the unreasonable hassle of getting a table. The food is good, just not worth the wait especially when there are free tables. I can not be bothered anymore. Another issue which I think is pretty foolish on their part is they will not substitute ANYTHING. The sides listed are the sides you are getting. Even though you’re the one paying for it. Honestly never been to a single restaurant in my 40 years on this planet where they refuse to accommodate like this. I have had the burger and am baffled how it wins awards. It’s good but overwhelmingly, unnecessarily and unappealingly big. The burger itself is 2 – 3 inches thick. So I will continue to stroll be PeraBell onto the next restaurant that values and accommodates their customers. There are way too many in the Village to warrant putting up with the obnoxious way that the restaurant is ran.

So great start to finish! My husband and I went without a reservation. We were told 30 – 45 minutes but we ended up being seated after waiting no longer than 15 minutes. Drinks were good. We shared the calamari and Mac and cheese and both were yummy. I had the short ribs and my husband had the shrimp fettuccine and we were very happy with our choices. Ended wit the red velvet cheesecake by recommendation and there wasn’t a drop left! The staff was so friendly and accommodating! I can’t wait to go back!

***** 5 stars «Revised Experience» I had the pleasure of dining with my family & friends at Parabell’s Food Bar in Patchogue, NY on January 17. I was greeted by the hostess & quickly seated & had a perfect corner table. The drinks were great, I had the cranberry bourbon special(awesome). We also ordered appetizers for the table which was the Thai chili shrimp which by the way was delicious. We also ordered the dumplings(highly recommend). For the main course I had the Osso Buco special, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-! We all passed on desert(to full) and by the end of the meal we can all agree that we will definitely will be dining here again. I lastly would like to thank the manager Jamie for taking care of my dinner party. Keith

I placed an order for pick up last night and the service was amazing. I went with my 18 month daughter and the place was pretty crowded. I told the hostess I was there to pick up an order I called in, she took care of me by going to the bar to pay and pick up my order. She saw that I had my daughter with me and saw it was crowded for me to make my way with a baby to the bar! Courtesy goes a long way with me, especially now being a mom! The food was delicious to top it off!

All around great, and just love treating myself here. I am so happy with people who write they’re not coming back and have this place 2 stars. Thank you! Less of a wait time for us. If you haven’t tried this place yet, I dare you to come and try the wings, spicy tuna pizza and the burger. Wash it down with a craft beer, and the desserts are legit. PB, see you again soon.

My brother had chose this place for his«birthday dinner». So upon request the family and a few of his friends all go out to PeraBell. At first we were unsure of the dress code of this place being its classified as a bar. However, being the event we all dressed a bit higher then casual. Nice button ups and sweaters. Good thing we did. Everyone seemed to be wearing somewhat the same. The Crispy Calamari was the appetizer if choice for the evening. One«buffalo» one«cherry red pepper» Me personally I liked the taste of the Cherry Red Pepper Calamari over the Buffalo ones. The buffalo calamari was delicious, however just too overwhelming for my taste. I ordered the French Dip. It was Hot roast beef with melted provolone, on a garlic seasoned bun with a side of fries. The sandwich was real good. The fries were. «meh» very well done McDonalds looking fries. The waiter we had was a real nice guy, very friendly and helpful. overall it was an okay experience. I feel that I need to personally give PeraBell a retry

Ultimate worst experience — STAYAWAY — this place has good food but be aware — they are idiots. I stopped in on a Saturday — place was empty and yet moronic manager made us wait in the lobby and refused to seat is because get this«kitchen was overwhelmed». We walked out and will never return — in a town with a million good restaurants service like that puts you out of business #fail

The attitude is what brings this place down. I’m local and go quite often because there are a few flagships I can’t resist– the blackened tilapia sandwich for lunch is my favorite thing they have. The burgers they bribe people to vote long islands best is good but not great, the specials are usually really good, and the regular menu is hit or miss. If you walk in the empty place they will tell you you need a reservation and turn you away, I always sorta hang in the bar until something opens up but it’s just rude pompous behavior like this, that floods the entire place. I like the one girl behind the bar, but I think the others are god awful, their attitudes and the rude shit the one blonde says is really appalling actually. My girlfriend has lupus and has to unfortunately take pills, as she did the bartender wouldn’t quit talking about how people who take pills are morons, she said it to the two people sitting next to us at the bar, and the staff standing next to the bar as well, she went on about it and taking 20 pills a day isn’t something she happy to do, it’s something she needs to do. I was furious inside. For that reason I haven’t been back as often as I used to be, which is good because their service is slow, rude, and inattentive. The food is hit or miss and a lot of it is so lack-luster. The specialty cocktails are pretty damn good and usually always on point, so there’s that, I just can’t feel good about giving them a shiny review thanks to the service you get… Or don’t. It’s not to say we haven’t had good service, we have, I have my favorite waitresses or maybe there’s just one, but there are too many bad apples. It’s a shame because I used to really love it there, tons of first dates there always impress lol. If you go, you can find some great items on the menu… But stick to them, don’t stray, the rest of the menu won’t do anything for you. They opened a second location in riverhead where I got much better service and the pizzas are amazing(at least the carbonara one is)

The food is decent and the service sucks. I feel like people consider this place upscale dining but it just falls short of that and lands in the bar food category. I have in fact had better meals at times from bars @ Public House, Reese’s, Tap Room. I have had great meals from here though and they do offer a nice array of specials. I came in here for dinner once and it took me two hours to eat and I will never do it again. it was just not worth it, one of those times it was hit or miss meal and It definitely missed. Around lunchtime or during the day it’s not that busy and that’s when the food is on point, for some reason the service just never is. Order backup drinks and an extra water because you will die of thirst waiting for your waitress. They have a nice alcohol selection and the staff is very friendly, they are just slow as snails. In my opinion it just tries to be fine dining and charges enough to be but doesn’t meet the dining expectation or have any consistency. I’ve had both fabulous and terrible meals from here but both took a long time!!!

It’s a cute place and the service is really great. I found their staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the blackened tilapia and it was raw at the thicker part of the fish. They took it off the check even though I was only mentioning it because I felt like the chef should know. The coconut rice was lovely. Besides that, I like the space and atmosphere. I sat on the«patio» and although it noisy because it’s roadside, it was nice.

The french dip sandwich is probably the best thing you’ll ever have. I demand you try it! This is a very quaint place, but the food is sooo… sooo good. Patchogue is becoming a culinary center and this is one of it’s many attractions.

Just okay. Perabella’s Food bar is a nice place to bring an out of tower that doesn’t know much about Long Island. It gives off a high end ambience but meal prices are super reasonable. HOWEVER, I wouldn’t bring some one from out of town here if they were looking for an AMAZING kind of meal. We visited on a weekday evening and were seated right away. He had a burger and fries which I can’t speak much on because I didn’t have the opportunity to try it. He said«the burger was okay, not bad but not great». The pickle that came with his burger and fries was good lol. I can say that since I stole it :). I had the shrimp fettuccine. Their specials sounded amazing; however, I was super hungry and didn’t want to be disappointed/left hungry because I decided to try something new so I ordered that because it seemed easy enough. The dish was OKAY. It was very pretty to look at but not at all anything special. Let’s just say this, it hit the spot because I was hungry but it wasn’t good enough for me to take the rest home for lunch the next day. I probably will come back again on a fuller stomach and dabble in some of their specials. Happy Unilocaling :)

I went back to PeraBell five months after my first(5-star) visit because I was craving the Chophouse burger. Unfortunately, my second meal was nothing like the first. I don’t understand how you can have such different dining experiences at the same restaurant ordering the same entrée? Maybe it was an off day for the kitchen or perhaps the cook was on a break. Whatever the cause, my burger was not the same. I ordered the Chophouse medium rare with all the fixings just like the first time when I was there. What they served me was an under seasoned burger cooked medium-well on a burnt bun with french fries that were cold and overcooked. This was beyond disappointing since I had spent 5 months thinking about this meal. Since the burger, fries and bun were all overcooked; I contemplated sending the whole meal back. However, my general rule of thumb is never to send back food in a restaurant out of fear of repercussion. So I ate half of it and left a sad and broken man.

It had been a couple of years since I was back in the Patchogue area around dinner time, and since we were in town, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted — Perabell! Ahhhhhhhh Staring at the specials boards are always fun and the flavor combinations for their entrees are just OUTSTANDING, but tonight was not about entrees, it was about a Chophouse Burger that melted in your mouth and made you wish this place was in your own town! Cooked to a perfect medium rare with bacon and swiss, served with pipping hot fresh cut french fries, this dinner was the BOMB and every burger dinner you have ever dreamt of! Now, the best part — priced just right! Our dinner for 2 adults of great burgers and sodas, including a generous tip was under $ 50 bucks! Totally wallet and stomach-filling friendly!!! Go… stop reading and GO!

Another 4 for Perabell. I figured this review is kind of important since the last time I mentioned that they only had good burgers and the soup I had. The soup was a loaded baked potato I think?! Well scratch that if you’re not in the mood for a burger at Perabell worry no more! Yesterday we ordered a BBQ Beef Brisket Quesadilla &LI Fish and Chips. Both were equally delicious. One thing with fish and chips in my rule book and a few of my friends books is that it’s always ALWAYS better with malt vinegar. Without even having to ask our waitress who was also named Marisa but she spells it Marissa brought the option of both tarter sauce and malt vinegar. I hate when you go places and you have to ask for malt vinegar and then they don’t have it. That’s why if I order it I usually ask before I order«oh do you have malt vinegar?!» If they do… Great! If not… then we can ixnay that idea. Our service was quick, accurate, and with a smile which is always a win in my book. So if you’re jonesin’ for a good bite to eat and don’t want Gallo(I believe it’s Colombian food.) then come here.

I really wanted to like you PeraBell, I came with the best expectations. Someone told my wife, when she gets her tax refund she’s coming to PeraBell Food Bar. Dang! I planned a night with my wife for Saturday night, I have surprise place for dinner and then a movie. She was tired, she was ready for dinner and maybe a stop at Fairway for a pint of funky ice cream. We walk in and the restaurant is just starting to get busy. I kept saying, I’m here for the burger, I’m here for the burger, I’m here for the burger… The waitress comes over and reads a special, lobster ramen. Not lobster but LOB-STA, oh baby! I didn’t lock in that I was in Long Island, an island surrounded by water but no good places to enjoy freshly caught fish for dinner. The special was brought to my table. Chef, what the HELL are you thinking? Bacon bits and a sliced hard boiled egg? Really? What is this dish called, the coffee truck breakfast special? Bacon and hard-boiled eggs. All I need is a 7 – 11 roll Friggin’ dopey hoser, this meal sucked, I mean really really sucked. Ramen is supposed to be a flavorful dish. What was served to me was green onion water, cooked noodles and a big hunk of lobster in a bowl. With chopsticks. How am I supposed to eat a big hunk of lobster with two sticks? To top it off, the waitress(who read us the specials and said cream fresh) asked how everything was and told her my wife didn’t like her drink. Why? It was too strong. What did you expect? It’s a Martini! A couple sits next to us and they’ve heard the specials along with cream fresh. My wife looks at me and says don’t. I’m biting my lip but then again, I’m on my home turf so I wait. The waitress leaves and the guy leans over to me, what did you think of the ramen? I laugh and tell him this meal sucked, I mean really really sucked! He said, whew I was gonna order it but I’m here for the burger… The bill comes and its $ 70 bucks. Now, I support Patchogue but you have to think in terms of money. For $ 70 bucks, I could of brought a nice bottle of wine to my favorite place in St. James and ate a really good meal. Next time I’ll say, I’m here for the burger…
