Not bad. Went on st. Pattys day early. Was disappointed all they had was corned beef all day. Good beer. Good price. Good music. I would try again

Stopped in after leaving McCoy early. $ 5 Guinness is a good deal! Friendly bartender took our order right away and noticed when our glasses were running low. Free live music made us want to stay all night. Outside smoking area with views of the stadium. Solid bar, I can see why they have a lot of regulars, wish it was a closer stumble home!

Galway is the worst bar in ri they have the worst bartenders and owners they seem to give new people the cold shoulder and tend to sware and beat up people when they question certain things

Great little hole in the wall Irish bar that is perfect to bring a group of friends that just want to relax and hang with each other. Spattered with old timers and locals most nights. Darts, karaōke on mondays, digital jukebox and plenty of Guinness and smithwicks on draft! My favorite local spot.

This bar is lame. It fails completely in every way. It’s super divey but not in a cool way. The owner is a HUGE douche bag. He came over to me and my friends talking some nonsense. Then proceeded to hit on my friend in front of her boyfriend. Then when my boyfriend walked away, he went on to talk shit about him being Italian and how Irish people are better and all that. Mind you, this dude was reaching 50. THEN he proceeded to insult me for who knows what reason. Other than that, the bartender was nice. Would never come back though. I’ll pregame at my house before a Pawsox game before ever stepping foot in here this shit hole again. :)

I almost don’t want to write this review for fear that I’ll find Galway inundated with bros before the next Pawsox game. As far as I’m concerned this is the perfect place to to grab a beer(or 4) before a Pawsox game. Guiness is poured the right way, «Gansett is on draft and beers are cheap and fresh. I can’t vouch for the mix drinks or their appetizers of the day, but I can say that there are a couple of TVs if there is a game on– and more importantly TWO dart boards. Settle in with friendly staff and entertaining locals, play a few games of darts against the backdrop of real Irish music, and totally forget that you were going to the game tonight, you can always go to the game tomorrow…

Their tagline is ‘a little taste of Ireland in Pawtucket.’ And I whole-heartedly agree. Especially when I am there at 10am on Thanksgiving morning knocking a bloody mary back with all the O.G. Irish peeps 0f Pawtucket(including my father). It’s been a Bucket tradition throughout the years for all of these guys to meet on Thanksgiving morning. The location has changed as places open and close, but I have to say that Galway is my favorite so far. Galway is not only great on Thanksgiving morning, but it is a great neighborhood bar to meet up for a drink or hear some über-Irish band sing sappy Irish ballads and catchy jigs. It’s also a great stop before or after a PawSox game, as it’s right around the corner from McCoy. This is the kind of place where the bartender looks like he’s been behind the bar, pouring ‘em and enjoying ‘em for years. There are quotes proclaiming Gaelic wisdom and pictures portraying the lush green of the homeland all over the walls. As is customary for an authentic Irish pub, most of the older folks can drink a young upstart like me under a table. However, it doesn’t feel like a sad bar for drunks, it just feels like a simple and happy bar for the Irish. And it’s a pretty happy place for a half-Irish gal like me.
