I’ve been going to the road house for over 10 years. The food is good… The bartenders have always been nice to me… I have lived in Europe for about 4 years but when I go home I always stop by and it’s always the same. The only thing I’ve always found weird is the owner. He’s always lingering around the bar and it’s just always weirded me out a bit… but other than that it’s a great bar!

So, I’m giving this place 5 stars for three reasons. 1. Outstanding brick oven pizza 2. Come as you are vibe and 3. Billy the bartender. We stumbled upon this place a few times after after some long days. Meaning, those days when you are just not up for elegant dining; however, really don’t want the old tired pub 99. The wine list is lousy, but they have premium liqueur, so if your hair is in a pony and you are looking for quality pizza and a nice cocktail, the Roadhouse is the place. Ask for Billy the bartender, he is outstanding and his service rocks! He’ll keep us going back. That and the keno

They have a new brick pizza oven and the pizza is very good. The bar area is big with high ceilings.

Stopped in on the way home just to check it out. I’ve have never tried the food because the kitchen was closed at 10:30 so I can’t rate that. However, best bartender ever! Teresa was great and knew exactly how to handle everyone there and she makes a killer drink! He is excellent at drink profiling!

This bar, years ago was nice. It was just a relaxing place to go after work or gather a few friends to have a game of pool, listen to the live bands or just catch up with a few drinks. It has turned into your typical dive hell hole. Its run down and very shady. The same people show up all the time, the usual, out of work who have nothing better to do than to drink till they fall over. Lots of drug activity is dragging this place down too. It happens outside mostly and Im sure in the bathrooms. Speaking of which, are filthy and never really stalked up with paper towels or toilet paper. The food is nothing to brag about and the beer, eh, its beer. Nothing special about that. Very dim lighting too so that makes it even shadier to me. They seem to cater to their favorite customers by letting them enter the kitchen to do god knows what. Which makes me not want to order food at all there. I won’t be going there anymore. And the fact they they claim to be good for kids? With the type of people hanging around in there all day I would never bring a child there. I personally know of 1 customer who’s there all the time. And when he leaves, he walks home screaming obscenities to himself. Yea I really want to bring my family for lunch there. No thanks!

Should be a fun local place, but really isn’t. Food is average at best, little beer selection and beer doesn’t quite taste right(dirty draft lines, I think). May give it another shot, but likely won’t

Despite the official description of the Roadhouse as a «casual family friendly eatery with children’s menu» it seems much more in keeping with it’s moniker as a dive-y roadhouse. They do serve food but the main focus seems to revolve around the enormous horseshoe-shaped bar and the pool tables. Perhaps the place had a previous(or future) life as a full-service restaurant as there is an odd amount of unused space in the place(a glassed-in«gazebo/greehouse» seating area, a dance floor, DJ booth and more tables in the back — none of which I’ve ever seen anyone use). Thankfully on the much despised(by me anyways) Karaōke night, the«KJ» is stuck in the back where he wont hurt anyone. That being said, drinks are cheap(the beer selection is pretty standard but they offer a myriad of spirits) and a «yee-haw» very«roadhouse» like atmosphere pervades. Something about this place just makes you want to crank up the hair-metal and Bön Jovi and lucky you — that’s just what happens! Satellite radio provides an endless stream of 80’s classics and the dizzying array of neon barlights, Keno screens and the weird faux-barndance interior conspire to transport you to your high-school reunion(or at least a John Hughes movie). Tucked away on a sidestreet amongst truck depots and what must be the last remaining farm areas on the northshore, The Roadhouse is a seriously local joint and an undiscovered dive bar gem. Don’t stop believin’!

Came in here and loved the local feel to it… then all of a sudden I saw that the owner let locals smoke butts in the kitchen. Completely gross. they also harbor angry drunks here. Thumbs down. Boo. Pizza is good, but now that I know they let customers smoke in the kitchen I’m never going back.
