Place serves breakfast lunch and dinner I’ve had all three here every meal was good. I always sit at the bar late lunch is my favorite sometimes when it’s slow they’ll put on family feud with the volume can’t beat lunch with the feud on. Not many places can get breakfast lunch and dinner right but the sheep does them all well

My husband, my mom & I just had dinner here & it was shearly awesome! Haha, yes I’m corny. Talking about corny, the cornbread was the start of our yumminess. I had the steak frites, my husband had country fried chicken & my mom had the mixed grill, all were cooked to perfection & were delicious. We also had the perfect summer drink — the blackberry mojito. We wish we had left room for the homemade desserts because they looked & sounded great. Next time. And last but not least, the staff is super friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem!

Went here for drinks and appetizers with my husband a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic food and drinks!!! Our server was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back again soon! I don’t know why we waited to try this place!

Had dinner with my wife here trying it out for the first time. Started out shaky. We were seated and no one came to our table for 15 minutes. Apparently a server miscommunication. Flagged a server, Chelsea, who turned everything around. She said it wasn’t her table but it is now and she’d be happy to take care of us. She made great suggestions and had all the info on everything including craft beers. The menu was quite varied and everything we ordered was great. Not usually dessert takers, we shared a great crème brûlée.
We’ll be back.

Best Sunday Brunch. Glad I read Unilocal reviews as we needed to find a place that was great and reasonable. This place delivered on everything. I called this morning and made a reservation for 7. They were great when I called they even advised on where to park. We arrived early before the rest of our family. They were very accomadating and quickly sat us at a table in the back room where the bar was located and our table already set up.
While waiting we ordered the cinnamon roll and drinks. Glad we did as we read on the brunch menu cinnamon rolls were limited. One of the waitresses came out and said there was only two left. Once my family arrived we ordered. I shared the crab cakes and the BLAT that is a BLT with avocado. Other entrees ordered were the Steak tips and scrambled eggs, omelettes, eggs Benedict as well as the grilled chicken sandwich.
The Food, Service, and price was great. We were surprised they did not add gratuity automatically.

The tap selection is great (including hard cider — shoutout for my wife) the Bentwater Thunder Funk is mmm.
The noodle bowl was wow! The menu is great, too hard to make one choice– got to come back …

I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile now and I finally had the chance and was not disappointed! I came in on a Sunday and sat by the window. Everything was extremely delicious and the food is plated really well. My server was also great, even though it was pretty busy. Will definitely be back again.

Just came in on a Sunday around 11 for breakfast/​brunch and was not disappointed. The homemade colossal cinnamon bun was out of this world good… to the point that we got a second one to split. Eggs were good and cooked to order and toast wasn’t burnt or over-​buttered. The waitress was very nice and it was very clean.
When it took awhile for a waitress to come over since they were slammed, the owner (I’m presuming) came over and got our drink order.
Can’t wait to come back and try lunch or dinner!

Stopped in for breakfast. Food was good — I was told they source everything they can locally. Wait staff very attentive — great service. Inside clean and inviting — a gem for this neighborhood. Restrooms very clean.

This place is a gem for sure. The inside is so different from the places around here. It reminds me of something from the west coast. The food is truly incredible. Everything is fresh. Four stars because the bartender was running the entire place on her own so service got slow but she rocked it (we did go in the AM though).

After a recent visit, I decided to change my review… the food has greatly improved since they opened and the service is consistently friendly and prompt. The staff treats their good customers like family. I’ve been here many times as some friends of mine are regulars. Some other reviewers commented that the owner has no problem confronting bad tippers or blowing off complaints about the strong drinks… its true, and I would side with Lil on this. It’s a neighborhood grille and not the kind of place that caters to complaining or people who don’t know to tip. Since giving it another try, I will say the steak Mac and cheese and chicken club were delicious. The place is very clean, and the drinks are generous. Cheers to that!

I keep passing this place and wanting to try it so on a whim, I stopped and ordered some take-​out. I ordered the buffalo chicken strips and a spaghetti with meatballs. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was clean, and I was told by a staff member that everything there is fresh, not frozen.
The buffalo chicken strips were a huge appetizer, much bigger than expected. The chicken was tender and delicious but not too spicy. I would definitely recommend. The spaghetti and meatballs was also a large dish. It came with three large meatballs and was also good. Being that this was not an Italian restaurant, they did great.
I’m looking forward to going back to try something else.

First of all, the place is spotless. I brought my grandmother for lunch. It’s a seat yourself situation during lunch time. Jacqueline was our waitress and she was awesome! The prices are more than reasonable especially considering the portions. Surf & Turf is where it’s at, guys. Sheppard’s pie is like WHOA. Poutine is my favorite and this place has it. Normal menu. Nothing artsy fartsy. Just good, normal food. Check this place out. I promise you will be glad you did.

I used to love this place until the owner Lil came over to my table one night and said that we don’t tip well enough… First off we always tip 15%, I always use my calculater and round up. Second, she may be the owner but she had no right to approach us in such a rude manner about something like that. Very unprofessional. Never returning. Too bad because the food is amazing.

Hands down the best breakfast place on the North Shore. Five of us went there Sunday Morning around 9:30 AM for the first time and as everyone knows Sunday mornings between 9:30 and 11:00 any good breakfast restaurant will be packed to the gills. Its a true test to the kitchen line and the front of the house during this peak period and the Black Sheep Staff hit it out of the park all the way around.
After getting breakfast at many of the supposedly top breakfast restaurants on the North Shore I can promise you its not as easy to perfect breakfast as one might imagine. My parents got stacks of blueberry pancakes which were loaded with fresh blueberries. The rest of us got Omelets which were filled with fresh ingredients that were actually cooked into the egg and not just thrown in at the last minute like allot of other breakfast restaurants. I have allot of dietary issues and the kitchen did a great job of accommodating my needs. I’m super picky about Home-​fries, they need to be crispy with a nice brown on them. These were perfect and not burnt at all. This will absolutely be our new go to breakfast stop on Sunday Mornings.
My family and I always went to KC’s in Beverly Farms on Sunday mornings for breakfast and for years we were looking for something close to their quality after the restaurant closed, I think we found it in downtown Peabody.

Four of us went for breakfast of couple of Sundays ago. Good thing we got there early, 9:30 because by 10:15 the place was packed. Our portions were huge and delicious we had pancakes, eggs, bacon and prime rib. Juice came in a large glass, quite a surprise. There was no host so we sat ourselves and got a waitress as she walked by. Great service. Planning on going again.

Came in for my sisters birthday dessert. She wanted to try the S’more in a mason jar. She absolutely loved it. I got the coconut layer cake that was everything I love about coconut cake. We will definitely be back to try dinner here.

Service was great, food was even better and the atmosphere perfect. Great selection of food, not quiet so good environment for those who worry about loud kids. (Often guilty) blueberry pancakes and home fries my personal favorite oriyr

We just finished having brunch and it was terrible.
The meal started off nice, the cinnamon roll is delicious. We got omelets and bacon — the bacon was perfect and crispy. That is the only reason they even get 2 stars — one for the bacon and one for the cinnamon roll.
We ordered bloody marys — one spicy and one mild. They were both disgusting. The mild one tasted like pure thick tomato juice. The spicy one was only spicy because they put so much vodka, it burned you on the way down. We sent them back and were questioned as to why they weren’t good. Lill, the owner was sent over. After explaining, she was clearly angry at our review and made snide comments saying «well we make strong drinks here.» If that weren’t bad enough, it got worse. Over the next 10 minutes while we waited for our check and paid, the owner continued to complain about us to the bartender and waiter within earshot of us. It was very uncomfortable and rude. We will not be returning to this establishment and will be warning all of our friends to stay away.

Went recently and it was horrible.
Flavorless meal.
Place was empty on a Saturday night at 6pm. The end is near.
