It’s been a long time since I’ve had Church’s Chicken, but I decided to stop there since it’s close to my apartment and it’s still pretty new. I ordered the small chicken tender combo with fried okra. The meal also came with a honey butter biscuit. It didn’t take too long to get the food and it was nice and hot when I got home. The chicken tenders were a lot better than I was expecting. I don’t remember the chicken tenders having so much flavor. The fried okra tasted good, but it could have been a lot crunchier. I’m just happy that they have fried okra because that is one of my favorite side dishes to eat with fried chicken. The honey butter biscuit wasn’t anything to get excited over. I would have rather switched the roll for extra fried okra or a different side. I had an unsweet iced tea for my beverage and it was good. Ordering iced tea from fast food restaurants is always hit or miss so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was pretty good. One thing that I was disappointed about was the lack of dipping sauce for the chicken tenders. I assumed(I know, I shouldn’t have) that there would be cream gravy or that they would ask me what type of sauce that I wanted, but they didn’t. On the plus side, they threw in an extra chicken tender so that definitely made up for it.
